I assume you mean 9:30 pm? I'm probably busy then, but if not I'm willing to give it a shot. If you mean am, I'm not busy, but I'm likely to be sleeping in

I'm always a bit confused by the way people rate their DPS. If I take my current build into the firing range, I tend to get around 300k DPS with my Assault Rife, and 200k with an LMG. I can take down Elite enemies in less than a full magazine of my AR, most of the time, so I don't feel like my numbers are shamefully small, but I'm seeing less than 1/3rd of what you called out as needed - hence my confusion.

In the firing range you need to be doing 1million + for DPS.

If you're doing 900k+ and not all your talents are active that's probably close enough. Otherwise it's not enough to pass the dps portion of the level. At 200k-300k no one is taking down the elites found in the raid in less than a full magazine.

For example on the first boss when we completed it with the group i was in we did it in 5 passes of the machine gun. The best our group could accomplish on our last attempt was taking down half his armor sections in that same number of passes.

If anyone isn't able to get to these numbers check out the build guides that are out there. 1mil is the low end of the top side of DPS. People are out there with 3 mil dps. They're doing this by combining the right pieces of gear on top of getting good stat rolls on the pieces they have.

I do want to point out that if you don't have at a minimum of 1mil dps with your setup the odds getting past the first boss is slim.

Also if you're having problems due to us not having enough folks or not a good time to group up you may want to visit the Div2 Discord channel. They have a ton of rooms for raids and a channel where people ask for players to join their group. https://discord.gg/thedivisiongame

I was able to get through it today in two separate chunks. First 3 bosses and an attempt at the last one was done in just around 2 hours. The last one took the next group i was in 8-10 tries around 4 hours overall. Full successful run was close to an hour.

Only running about 600k now so I have some upgrades to do.

Who the heck has that kind of uninterrupted time? That's like half a work day.

Finally hit over 1MM DPS at the range, however I seem to be very RNG dependent to hit that. Normally hitting 750-800k. Going to be a lot of grinding to get to 1MM+ reliably.

I need to find a new build. I'm at about 200k at the range, but I built around status effects (fire). So, I hit hard against people on fire and I built a whole fire creating loadout.

I looked online and I couldn't find any really good, solid, clear, DPS builds. Can you guys give me some links so I know what to farm?

https://www.divisionbuilder.com/builds

The status builds don't have enough damage bonus or consistent damage to be raid ready.

These are videos from a couple guys who were part of the world first team.

You're able to take these and modify them as you need. I have a LMG build that was originally based on the 5/7/7 builds, but shifted things around because i FINALLY got Unhinged on a couple LMGs. So i wasn't limited to the 5 count for red...

Also something that helps if you want to look stuff up yourself is this google doc.

Awesome, thanks guys! The links that I found were crappy.

Mmmdrop clan vendor is selling a chest piece with 25% total armor. It can be used for recalibration.

How do those stats work.. is it 25% of your total armor or just 25% of that pieces total armor?

With those videos and some farming, I'm up to ~750k DPS at the range on Elites.

I also got a Sweet Dreams from just jumping into a random main mission with some folks. I'm not using shotgun in this build, so, that kind of sucks. But, it's still cool to see an exotic drop. I also got a D50 to drop so I crafted the Liberty.

I took another try at the Roosevelt Island stronghold with another group of randos and just stomped through it with incredible ease. No idea if my randos this time were just that much better than the randos I'd labored through an hour's worth of attempts before giving up a week or two back, or if they made this encounter a little easier, but it was a vastly different experience. Throwing in a few more side missions, I'm now about 5k XP away from hitting Level 30 and being able to see the endgame (or, honestly, probably just delete the game off my harddrive and set the disc aside for a few months until I see a reason to come back).

I'd recommend against deleting the game immediately when you hit 30. There is quite a bit more new stuff as you go through the world tiers. A new faction is introduced, and they take over the main mission areas, resulting in relatively new experiences right down to different background music. At World Tier 4, checkpoints become more interesting as you can make them more challenging to match your gear advancement, or even make them challenging enough to require a team (for a mere mortal player, that is, I'm sure there are people out there who can solo Heroic checkpoints). You can also hunt the Hunters, sort of open world bosses with puzzles attached to find them, and collect their masks. You can track them down before WT4, but they are level 5 with unique tactics, so they're pretty hard to kill until you are able to beat the WT4 stronghold.

After WT4, there's not much new other than the Tidal Basin mission, which is worth doing once, preferrably in a group to make it more straightforward, and finally the raid, which requires a lot of grinding and prep work to get your gear in shape.

I'll think about it. I am curious to see how this endgame stuff plays out, but on the other hand, I've put about 35 hours in already and have a bunch of other things I want to play, so... it's probably on a pretty short leash for me. If I can matchmake into invaded missions, though, maybe that'll help keep me on the treadmill.

I hit level 30 last night totally unintentionally, just resupplying a control point. It's funny, I got the achievement pop for hitting level 30 a full 5 seconds or so before the game told me I had leveled up. I went to matchmake into the final stronghold, and was a good 30 minutes into the mission when my 6 month old son started screaming. (It's kind of unbelievable to me that this is the first time in his life he has really interrupted an unpausable game session for me, though maybe that just shows I've been smarter about how and when I'm playing) Anyway, I managed to get him fed and back to sleep inside of about 10 minutes, and I raced back down, hoping that my teammates hadn't kicked me and the game hadn't booted me and I could help defeat the final boss. But on the way down the stairs I looked at my phone and saw that the achievement for completing the stronghold had already triggered. So I guess I missed the end of the game? Is there a final cutscene when you complete that stronghold? I did at least get to page through the info they show about specializations and invaded missions and such. Oh well!

Why doesn't this game show you gear score the whole way through? I'm sure there's still preferences to weigh and such, and a higher gear score isn't a better choice 100% of the time, but boy it's a lot easier to filter out gear when you have a three digit gear score number as opposed to a line of 10 Level 28 LMGs with different damage and rate of fire numbers. Why not just go all gear score the whole way through? Anyway, I'll probably play a few invaded missions over the weekend and see how I feel about continuing on.

Logged in last night and got my Nemesis at long last. It's at 490 though... where do I get the blueprint to update it to 500?

fast travel away from the BoO and back and the vendor should have it for you.

Grats!

Ah really? That simple? Sweet. Will do that tonight.

AWJ's clan vendor has a 19% crit damage vest for those interested and the BoO vendor has a holster with 20% CD reduction which some newer builds are taking advantage of.

After this message surfaced, more people are doing testing and finding that frame rate appears to be affecting damage output. It's not 100% clear if it's just a bug in the gun range calcluations, but several are claiming to have analyzed videos and seen hits not triggering some abilities, too.

It might affect both PC and console.

Developers are investigating.

New Gunner Specialization coming this month!

https://tomclancy-thedivision.ubisof...

When activated, The Gunner receive bonus armour based on the amount of Specialization ammunition they are carrying and can easily tank incoming damage for short periods of time while using their Minigun to suppress their enemies. There's a catch though – when the weapon is drawn, the Gunner can't enter cover, vault or roll.

To get enemies out in the open, the Gunner comes with the Banshee Signature Skill, which ignores cover and causes its targets to become confused. When an enemy stumble out of cover is the perfect opportunity for the Gunner to use their special grenade – the Riot Foam grenade – trapping the enemy in place.

The specialization comes with a new skill tree and the P320 XCompact sidearm.

The Gunner will be available to test on the Public Test Server, opening on June 4th, in order get as much feedback on it before it is released on the Live servers in Title Update 4, coming in June 2019. Please join us on the official forums and tell us about your experiences with it.

so GWJers my brother and i have decided this is our next game to have some fun brotherly time over. I played the original but got bored with it fairly quickly once i hit end game. is this better? end game better?

I came back to this after not really playing since launch. They added a a new mission type, hidden thingie mission, which I wanted to try out.

After dying 4 times in a row the same place, I ragequit. I am so poor at this game that its rage inducing at times!

I really, really wish, there was some kind of difficulty choice to make somewhere.

i had this fear as well. not so much for me because cover based shooters seem to flow...sort of well with me as a player. but i was fearful that i'd be spending most of my time laying down covering fire for my brother and saving his ass because he has his shotgun and wants to LEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEENKINS his way through a mission.

Suprisingly there was little of that. sure i had to bail him out once maybe twice. but when he realized what his little turret can do, he has been a much smarter agent.

Looks like a cool change incoming. Found on PTS:

Each Specialization can add passive damage to any weapon type. You have 45 points to spend across all weapons.

I'll take AR weapon damage and the headshot damange from Survivalist, please.

hey all. is there a GWJ clan for this game? Just unlocked clan participation with my level 10 rifleman.

PSA I've fallen off this pretty much, so if there is space needed in the ps4 clan, feel free to kick me. But if there's not a space issue, I might return to it.

Anyway of getting into the PC clan? Looks full right now my ubi name is Rave80

I looked at the requirements for the gunner specialization. I may be in the minority but they look pretty steep. I think I may sleep on this awhile and wait for additional content to bring back into the game. I don't foresee myself going through those hoops right now.

what are the requirements if you don't have the year 1 pass?
