Is this the Festag patch they have been working on?

That was released a few months ago! This is the Doomsayer update.

I am behind! Looks like I need to get my for-the-emperor on!

I stalled out in the middle of my dark elf campaign quite awhile ago (started before Queen and Crone). Should I try and finish that up or just restart since there have been so many changes?

I would love to play again - heck, I buy all their expansions and DLC, but man - Every time I am about to boot it up, I remember the 2 minute turn times...Its such a major turnoff!

Do you have an SSD?

I am not even sure your save will work, to be honest! I'd say restart just to get a feel for things again. Juggling a bunch of sh*t when you're getting reacquainted is always a bit much.

Praise Sigmar!!

I have an SSD - Loading times are not an issue. Turntimes are- and those aren't affected by running it on the SSD. I guess that would be the processor? Or eliminating all those damn agents!

You could do push ups or sit ups until it's your turn. Help you stay in shape and punish the heirs of Sigmar at the same time.

I would say start over so you can square off against some of the new factions like Vampire Coast, Tomb Kings, and Clan Skyre.

Honestly, I’m starting either a Bretonnia or Skyre Mortal Empires campaign soon.

I usually stall out because I'm never really prepared for Chaos invasion.

Yeah I’m starting a new campaign and dropping out of my current one so I can get in with the new stuff since they are significant additions.

Is anyone ever? Really?

One does not simply prepare for a Chaos invasion ...

Just be willing to sacrifice armies and settlements to grind them down. And of course constantly hit them with high ranking agents.

Nnnnnnnobody is prepared for the Chaos Invasion! Their chief weapon is surprise! That's all... just surprise!

Well now it's not a surprise any more. Good one.

Actually yes. I shelved Warhammer 2 for a while so I could focus on knocking off a couple of Assassin's Creed titles, but now seems like a perfect time to finish my High Elf campaign.

So played both Bretonnia and Skyre last night in Mortal Empires. The Bretonnia tech tree and economy feels a lot more fleshed out, and I’m looking forward to exploring the faction more.

Skyre on the other hand have some of the most awesome steampunk weapons I’ve ever seen. If you’ve wanted to play Skaven, they are a great faction to begin with. Also, I’m 100 percent confident that in a few years CA could make a really compelling 40K game based on how well they made this faction.

Anyone interested in dabbling in a co-op campaign again? Or trying out some units in a MP battle?

Sadly I don’t have time for campaign but would love to do some comp stomp battles.

Man I'd love to play some kroq gar while someone else played the new guy.

I know no-one is really excited by him, but Tiktaq'To is kinda awesome to play with. I ambushed a full Sudenburg stack at about turn 15 and wiped them out with a total of 75 casualties to my name. Continuous strafing runs with half a dozen Terradon units on the panicked blob hemmed in by javelin-throwing skinks and little red-crested bastards. Very different feel so far and his army-wide +10MA in foreign territory means I have not stopped pushing forward yet. Definitely worth a shot if you like LM and want to try an aggressive, skirmish-heavy style.

So - I just checked - at turn 10 only, a turn after I press end turn, until its my turn again, takes 1 minute and 30 seconds. Does anyone have any idea how long their turns take? and are you fine with that?

Well, I went into camera settings and set them to fast or fastest, then click on the fast forward button and my turns usually only take about 30-45 seconds.

Thanks - still makes for quite a long game, where most of it is spent waiting.

That's war. Hurry up and wait.

The new Skaven lord Ikit Claw is amazing guys.

Skaven Snipers/Workshops/Nukes/Undercities (with optional nukes) make this feel like a full sequel and not just an $8 expansion pack.

The Skaven now feel like a furry cancer consuming the literal underpinnings of civilization - as it should.

Tip of my scavenged helm to CA for this one.

Ikit is next for me. I'm about half way through my Tehenhauin campaign and really enjoying it.

I love Tiktak'to's starting location! So many factions to fight there instead of just one type of foe. Humans, Tomb Kings, Skaven, Orcs, Wood Elves and other Lizard men.

What are the thoughts on the removal of auto-resolve advantage between major and minor factions? I'm playing through the new Lizard campagin, and two major factions have already been destroyed my minor ones. The Citadel of Dawn has dominated on the south eastern continent. There Krogar -- the ratmen have been destroyed there, and Krogar was largely destroyed (I absorbed him when he had only one city left). meanwhile Hexoatl just got smashed a few turns ago, by rampaging orcs of all things-- The blue vipers are running rampant across the norther part of the south western continent!!!

Maybe its because I threw off the natural lizard-elf alliance when I smashed teclis to pieces to get this city for my geomatic network, and that magic quality buff.....
