NFL 2019: Draft

Dolphins avoid the QB, commit to the tank. Good job Miami. I would have looked hard at Jawaan Taylor though. I've never heard of anyone on Miami's right tackle depth chart.

Kudos to Miami. Great pick and agreed, they didn't stretch for need and got a QB. Would have loved to see Josh Allen or Wilkins in Giants blue. Miami and Wash may still be in it for a trade for Josh Rosen.

Miami's current starting RT's PFF grades:

Oof. No wonder I don't know him. Gotta be a position Miami looks to solve some time this weekend.

I feel so weird. There's this absence of dread and rationalization for my teams' picks.

Haskins to Washington.

Washington is out of the Rosen market.

It's not a seller's market for Arizona.

Man, the Jags could have gotten him instead of paying Foles. That's the problem with being coy and waiting for draft day though, teams gotta make plans and can't wait on you.

Sorry, Haskins.

Who is Burns' hype man?

Carolina makes an obvious pick. 3rd best edge in the draft I think, goes as the 5th one.

Here comes the Giants new punter...

Giants truly are drafting for the 1990s.

Dexter Lawrence is the kind of giant DT I used to love and had to come to terms with the fact that they're not nearly as valuable anymore.

Gettleman with the most obvious pick ever. Zzzzzz

He does like big boys up front and they got one.

Interesting that the interior lineman have gone ahead of the tackles except Jonah.

Rashan Gary is getting drafted awfully high for someone that didn't actually do much.

I don't like him as an edge rusher. I'd like him better as a 3-technique.

EDIT: Green Bay runs a 3-4 so Gary most likely a 5-tech end. Eeeeehhhh not loving that.

Well more confusing is the Packers announced him as a LB. Fingers crossed they see and have a plan.

Gary is a physical freak, so I get it. And he's young. If he pans out he'll be on the Pack for 15+ years like T-Sizzle was for the Ravens.

I'll take this outcome please

Man, I would have loved Garrett Bradbury to Carolina. But, hey, an edge rusher - pretty much what I expected.

Unrelated: ACC showing up big in the first round!

OK. So the host city team drafts a criminal and ESPN is going to play the video of his crime? Wow. I think I gotta turn this off. The swerve from entertainment into whatever that was was a little abrupt.

NFL Network spoke of the incident but did not play video.

Yeah i don't know why they are spending so much time on this...

I'm pretty sure Ian Rapoport just said "Phyllis" Rivers.

Fant drops too many passes for me to take at #20.

That's the big difference between him and Hock. Hock drops nothing.

People hope Hock is the next Gronk and Fant is the next Jimmy Graham and neither one of those is going to happen.

Hock is the next Jason Witten and Fant is the next Jared Cook.

If the Texans sit and do nothing and still get Taylor or Dillard I will be shocked. I'll be less shocked when they draft yet another CB instead of protecting their QB.

Packers trade up to 21.

I'd hate to see the Texans get a good OT, but the more they slide, the better chance a guy like Dalton Risner is there for Jacksonville's 2nd round pick.

Wow, Packers take Savage.

I love Savage but he was like a 3rd round pick that was climbing the board to a 2nd. As pick 21, that's surprising.

Disappointed he won't be an option for the Niners in round 2.

Clinton-Dix was that bad a teammate or something?

Also listed as a safety but announced as a CB? Am I reading too much into that as they needed a Safety.

The dude that writes down picks on the cards for the Packers is being very odd with the position designations.

There went Dillard. Dumbasses.
