Apex Legends - Catch All

With the selectfire, it's a beast!

Is the Prowler considered a good weapon? I had never really used it before, but over the last week it's been my go to. Last night I was carrying around two.

I don't know if I've just adjusted to it or if it's been changed, but the bullet drop in the heavy sniper doesn't seem to be as severe as before.

Depends on the person. It certainly is not terrible. With the select fire it gets much better. Really depends on the person. I am not a huge fan but Ranalin I know uses it. One of the things I think Apex has done well is there is a couple stand out weapons, a couple pretty bad weapons, and then the rest of the weapons are all pretty good and fine to use based on your preference/style. I play the most with Ranalin/Kazar. Kazar - uses scout much more than either of us, Ranalin uses the prowler/hemlock more and I use the Havok/Carbine more. We all do fine and all play somewhat similar just prefer those weapons. Yet we will all take Spitfire if we can get it with ammo.

That is one of the cool things about Apex. I've recently realized the Flatline isn't terrible (although I always trade it out for a Hemlock, R-301, or Spitfire).

I am very up and down on Flatline. I will go for spurts where I will take nearly anything over it. Then I will go through spurts where I will take it over pretty much all other than Spitfire/301. It has a very low TTK but you really need to be on which is not easy.

Has anyone else gotten an uptick in kids in their matchups? At least half my games this weekend were with kids demanding I "share my weapons" or think I play too much because I have a lot of kills - which compared to the really great players I'm a drop in the bucket.

EDIT: Re-weapon discussion - I'm usually going for at least the EVA/shotgun type and some kind of machine gun. Depends on what I can get my hands on.

I honestly am a bit burned out on BR's. So I have not been playing much and when I do it's with friends. However, I know my friend who is a 6th/7th grade teacher says all his students have moved off fortnite and are all apex now. So I could certainly imagine this being true.

I've had a lot more squeaky voices than usual. A lot more name calling and complaining. I knew it would come. The people that think everything is there's are the best.

HB- Yeah! That win was nuts!!! I can’t believe HB got the kill as both of them went down! I’ve never seen anything like that!

It’s also been getting down to the final squads quick in some matches! Our random teammate was shocked that the “Champions” screen popped on that! That dude did some MAJOR parkour getaway nonsense with Bangalore to respawn is right at the edge of the storm on the 2nd circle. We knew they’d be on us right away, but HB and that dude made it happen!

As for weapons, I will sport around a Prowler early, hoping for a Selectfire Hop Up. But if I find a 301 or Spitfire or R-99 first, I’ll switch to one of those usually. But the Prowler is a workhorse close range with the selectfire! I’d rather just have an R-99 that I can try to find level 3 extended mag for, but I’m not too angry with a Prowler in my hands!

As for young ‘uns, I too have noticed an increase in their numbers. I have had a lot of duo teens when I play solo and it’s always fun to see what their strats are, as well as the weird conversations they are cool with just casually dropping with the silent 3rd in their crew.

I’ve heard a lot of anecdotal stories about a lot of kids just using Fortnite and Apex as a place to hang out. The playing is apparently secondary sometimes.

I can't control the r99's kickback. That thing'll have me shooting at the leviathans after 10 bullets.

Well then, the solution seems clear. Put the your target between you and the leviathans.

I knocked a member of the final squad last night using the R-99. Sadly, his partner made a mad dash through a VERY late storm and got the drop on the two of us who were still up.

The R-99 shoots so fast; I used it over the 301 I was carrying because I knew the fight was going to be very close quarters.

Devotion, now THAT is some kickback! But I just love that thing so much early game!

So you are the one

Can confirm, he does work with devotion early on

I will always be on the hunt for a new gun, but early on, you can do some heavy damage with the Devotion.

R-99 and Peacekeeper anytime are great. But you can chew up some people with that Spitfire Lite™️!

I know the Spitfire got a nerf but no need to be ugly about it!

Spitfire remains nasty. Found one early game in Skull Town (along with a 301, imagine the luck). Rode that loadout to probably my best win. 6 kills 1000+ dmg and 3 revives. Feels good!!!

I think I'm finally keeping my cool in firefights and it seems to really be paying off.

Way to go HB! That’s some baller numbers!

I’ve been avoiding Caustic and Gibraltar COMPLETELY since learning that the 10% damage reduction buff is actually bugged. That 10% still is dealt to you, and what’s worse is that it bypasses shields. So you can find yourself in a scenario where you could be downed if you recharge your shields but get caught in the storm.

I unlocked Mirage recently, and he's borked completely. I'm not doing as well with him as I do with Bangalore or Pathfinder.

He's apparently next in line for buffs, if you read into what the devs have said. They need to fix the buffs to Gibraltar and Caustic, and I think they're looking at nerfs for Wraith and Lifeline.

Borked how?

I played him today and he was his usual smarmy and productive self.

Booo those are my two mains.

Honestly, I think wraith needs a slightly bigger hitbox and maybe a small cooldown nerf to her main ability (not super). I'm not sure Lifeline needs a nerf. Yes she has a small hitbox but her abilities are very situational in battle currently. Something small would be fine but I hope they don't hit her too hard.

Compared to every other character I've played, I found Mirage incredibly slow at everything. And I'm not sure if that's his design, but that definitely cost me a couple of matches.

Yea i don't get that at all. Feels the same for me. At least on PC that is. Granted he's one of my 4 mains so i may just be used to whatever it is.

What do you mean by slow? They had confirmed in the past that all characters move at the same rate (without active abilities)

kazar wrote:

Yeah, it's supposed to be only the animations that are slow, the actions are supposed to be the same speed regardless, right?

I was playing Wraith the other night on PSN, however, and sprinting beside a Lifeline.. I was definitely gaining on her. She was on my team and we were both heading to the same supply bin. It might have been connection I suppose.

Like drawing his weapon from putting it away is slow. And then when in a sprint with it holstered and without he feels slow in his movements.

Could also be the Slo-Mo server issue as well. They said they still haven’t been able to find a fix for that.

And that's for everyone and not just Mirage. Mirage is just fine.
