Oh and the bundle is $4.50. I liked the fist game.

I'm suddenly more interested in this game.

Microsoft is running a "$1 for 3 months" special on XBOX Game Pass. Inactive customers only.

(Turn off recurring billing if you purchase.)

Glad it exists, and my boys have been thrilled about it, but I have to wonder how sustainable Game Pass pricing will continue to be. Are they trying to hook us for a while then jack up the price?

I suspect a more Netflix-like eventual transition to mostly self-produced content.

But right now, they're just hustling to get whatever subs they can, and they're throwing around money to make it happen. They're still the #3 game subscription service, though, after Playstation Now and Origin Access, so they've still got more hustle to go.

In case anyone was wondering, this isn't a first-time customers only thing. I let my Game Pass subscription lapse a couple months ago. Three more months for $1.07? Don't mind if I do.

Is there any appeal here for someone with a modern Windows 10 PC but no Xbox One?

I don't have an Xbox, but I sub anytime there is a game on there I want to try. I can try Crackdown 3 for a dollar.

If the games are also part of Xbox Play Anywhere, you can also play them on your PC. This) is the current list for Play Anywhere games that are on the Game Pass.

Is there any way to buy the 3 month pass, but not activate it yet? My wife is due to bring our second child into the world any day now, due date is actually today.. so, unlikely I'd get to use it much in the next 3 months.. which is exactly how long it runs for

Doesn't seem like it, but they keep running these deals for newbies ever month or so it seems.

Atlas is on sale for 50% off on the Steam Store. This is an early access game in alpha still and they just had a complete server wipe so everyone is starting fresh. If you like MMO's and open world sandbox games with very cool building mechanics, it's not a bad price to jump in.

I won't lie they've had a REALLY rough start. Game was hugely hyped and then got delayed, delayed again, and when released was a huge mess due to overloaded servers. But ARK (same company) started in a similar fashion and I've spent over 1,200 hours now in ARK.

If you do buy it shoot me a DM. I'm in a really cool company with Lightning and another friend that is very focused on building a great community island.

Here is a link to what the company did in the first go round of Atlas. The building possibilities of this game are almost literally endless.

Is there a metric to ponder how many gamepass subscribers it has?, do Origin and PSNow also share that kind of data? Its interesting just to look at the numbers....
I think game pass its a big bet on MS part to make it profitable down the road with the next box they make.

Tomorrow at Target a decent Switch games sale:

Mario + Rabbids $19.99
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 $19.99
Fire Emblem Warriors $29.99

And if you want to buy a Switch system, you get 50% off Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, or Zelda, your choice.

Link?

I’ve been wanting to get Xenoblade 2 for a while, but I don’t know if I’ll enjoy it $60 worth. For $20 it’s a no-brainer

I bought it and then immediately turned off recurring billing because I will forget. Kudos for Microsoft for not making it extremely onerous to do so.

Here’s hoping they have any in stock tomorrow.

I believe that it's Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country not the base game. If you go to Target's web site, you can see the expansion marked down to $19.99 but the base game is $49.99.

Well here's a Target picture with price tags up.

Could be a store to store thing but the weekly ad sure looks like the main game. Label is just Xenoblade Chronicles 2. But then if you click on it, and follow the list of games, yeah it only shows Torna down below.

Stele wrote:

That picture is Torna.

Which, honestly, might not be a bad choice if you're curious about the game but don't have 100 hours to drop into it. Torna is a standalone 30 hour expansion that plays like a streamlined version of the full game.

It was a no go for me. Tried one Target and it was sold out. At another they refused the sale price because it didn't come up in their system. Best Buy would price match, but the online ad page had already been updated for the Torna game instead. It was very obviously a misprint.

My local target (Hilo, HI, so probably of no use to the rest of you) had those prices.

Looks like Farming Simulator Switch Edition is on sale for $25 (regular $50) in the eShop. Time to finally give this a try!

Yes, that price is a steal and it’s a great way to play Farming Simulator.

The clerk at the Target near me honored the $20 price for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, even though it didn’t ring up that way at first. I got the last one so it won’t be confusing for anyone else.

I seem to recall there being a small text line on the ad that specified Xenoblade Chronicles 2, with no mention of Torna. It was on that basis that the clerk rang it up for $20.

Running with Rifles is 3.75 on steam. I haven't played it but it has been on my radar since it came out 4 years ago. It has single player, co-op, and multiplayer. They have dedicated servers and you can make your own server. You control a little dude from a top down prospective. Lots of guns and stuff to drive. The AI looks to be pretty good but sometimes runs over its team members.

Ubi is giving away AC: Unity (PC) for the next week in solidarity for the Notre Dame fire.

They're also donating €500,000 for the reconstruction efforts.

Running with Rifles is totally worth it, especially at 3.75. It has an extensive modding community and the zombie TC is really good.

Those Anker USB-C batteries with the Switch branding are on sale at Best Buy and Amazon. $30 off (1/3rd) the larger 20100mAh version and $20 off the smaller one.

There is a really good Square Enix bundle on Humble Bundle, some nice gems in there.
