Warframe

I rerolled one, I forget what it’s for, but it ended up with +cold and +heat... built-in Blast damage. Oooh, I should see what happens if I put an electric/toxin in front of it.... will it combine with the first element listed? Or will it stay Blast, plus the added element?

Elements are added in order. So if it's Cold and heat. If you put riven in first slot and then Electricity in second slot it would go Cold - Heat - Electric so Blast and Elect. If you put electricity first it would be Electric - Cold - Heat so would give you Magnetism ( if i remember correct) + heat.

Before I go trading with random people I figured I would ask here to keep the plat in the clan.

I am looking for banshee prime systems and chassis on PC.

Got Nyx cooking now. Can't decide if I want to use my last 20 plat or sell a frame. Guess I've had enough fun I could throw another $10 at them sometime.

Weapon slots full too. Maybe I'll sell one of the dex weapons.

Got Loki crafting now as well after grabbing the parts last night. Definitely going to need more slots.

Octavia will finish in time for me to have some time, tomorrow. Yay! I hear she makes for a great spectre.

Still have to finish the last few levels to get Frost Prime to 30, then get started on levelling Hydroid Prime.

I've got the prime banshee chassis blueprint. Danjool on Warframe.

I am Vinlett on PC. When are you usually on and in what time zone?

I’ve been making way more progress on the Nightwave standing, than I ever thought I would... I might even make it all the way to the Umbral Forma (I’m still several reward tiers away).

I broke down, and bought 1 batch of Nitain, and Vauban Neuroptics (the only part I never managed to get before the change to alerts). I think I’m firmly in the “Nightwave is better than the old way” camp.

It pays to combine “challenges” as much as possible - makes that standing-grind a lot quicker.

I'm an idiot and didn't click on the menus the first couple weeks. Assumed all the completion popups were giving me something but looks like you have to click in the standing and actually redeem your points. I wasted so much. Blah.

You don’t have to do anything to redeem the standing (as far as I’m aware), you just accumulate it as you complete the challenges. The Wolf credits will eventually expire, when this event is over, but they’d still be there now (if you reached a tier that gave you some).

Equinox Prime released. I like the possibility of an Equinox without those weird rib ridges, but it is just Equinox so maybe they should have skipped to the next frame to primify. Looking at the frame release timeline that'd be... Atlas? Maybe we skip two frames. Who's next? Wukong!? Wow, 2015 kinda sucked for new frames.

Hopping on and hunting the new relics right after they get added to the game is kinda different. If you go to the optimal locations you tend to get paired with really high level people. They are fast. Ended up doing captures at around 50 sec a pop.

Danjo Olivaw wrote:

Do you mean looks wise? or stats?

Does not have as big of a jump as say Volt - Volt Prime stats 5 armor -100.

However, addition 75 health, 20 armor, and 23 energy all certainly add up being all 3 of those you generally run mods to increase. With max mods that could really be 400 health, 42 armor and 90 energy. Those numbers can make significant differences.

I'm thinking more in terms of abilities. Equinox always felt like another kind of Ember, where they're fine below level 25-30, but then their capacity to deal damage, take damage, or support others drops off. I only really see them show up for the smallish defenses where they can basically kill all the low-mid enemies standing in the center of the room, kinda like Banshee, which is boring.

I use my equinox a fair amount. As much as I hate the mission type Equinox is great at defection missions because you can heal the defectors. If you run slash weapons you can nuke even high end enemies you just have to be more active with turning your AoE on and off. Also Equinox has quite a few good skills but learning how/when to use them. I would actually say Equinox is a very strong frame even late game but you do not see a lot because of a mix of being a pain to farm and being very difficult to master (meaning not just hitting 4 and killing everything). I will say though Equinox is not a good solo frame.

I was reading about my new Nova and see some suggestions for corrupted mods. Those are from derelict missions right? I know I have a couple of those keys but have never tried it. Any tips? Guides?

So more than just in the derelict you need to find the derelict vault. Now the thing is you have the key you need to craft to get into derelict missions (these are really cheap and not a big issue normally). However, to get into the vault you need to have one of the dragon keys equipped on your bar. The 4 dragon keys are these Dragon Keys. However, you do not know which vault will be in mission it is random so you this is not something I recommend doing alone. At least on PC there is always groups in the grouping up chat going for this and each player equips a different dragon key so you have them all. There are a bunch of the corrupted mods and most have "uses" but there are a few really good ones like "Heavy Caliber" . Most of the warframe ones are good on certain frames or builds. The better corrupted mods at least on PC hold value well so one of the best ways to earn plat if you want by trading your doubles.

Don't forget to unequip the dragon key after!

Lol, I forget them all the time... I remember at the start of the next mission, and I’m LUCKY if I remember when I get back to the orbiter. 4 missions later, and I’m still wearing the damn thing.

I first played Warframe back when it first appeared on Steam, and I really didn't like it. It was grindy and extremely reptitive in terms of maps and enemy types ('It's the Grineer!' Lotus pipes up, to nobody's surprise since this is a Grineer mission ... it's always the Grineer). So when my friend, who has some 1300 hours in Warframe, said he wanted us to play it together, I was not enthusiastic. But it was his turn to choose something, so whatever. I'd not been keeping track of developments at all.

Sure enough, it started out exactly how I expected, but things started looking up when the quests kicked in, I've done Natah and The Second Dream, and Saya's Vigil. I've spent some time doing Cetus bounties today and I can't quite believe how improved Warframe is.

But it's like a game within a game. It took me roughly 60 hours to get to the good stuff, and that's mad.

Cool to see more activity in here. I haven't had a chance to play much the last couple weeks, but jumped in this morning since I saw a couple Gift of the Lotus missions. I did some spy missions and other stuff for Nightwave after that.

It looks like we still have some time, so I might just make rank 8 in Nightwave for that slot. I got jumped by the Wolf of Saturn Six during a spy run though and it caused one of my vaults to fail, which pissed me off. I wasn't even in a vault when he showed up. I should've killed him, but he kept doing some vortex/warp thing when he was low on health and I couldn't get away.

Cool event, but appearance and drop rates look a bit crazy so I'm not likely to worry about his unique items.

I’ve killed the wolf a few times, he dropped one part of his sledge... once. Every other time it’s been a lame mod.

Spent most of tonight relic-cracking, lots of Liths, a few of the others, and a couple radshares. Sold off enough parts to buy both weapons from Baro. Also, ended up with enough parts to get Reaper Prime, Fang Prime, and Mesa Prime going.

Mesa Prime will soon join the ranks of the “Frames where I got the Prime before I got the Basic” club - Mirage and Chroma Primes (I still don’t have either of these basics).

Hey all, I just had a small windfall and I want to use some of it to buy some plat. Of course this happens RIGHT AFTER my latest login discount expires so I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to let me use a 60% or greater deal that they get for a login reward (one you wouldn't be using for yourself of course).
I'd pay you in advance with paypal and I'd throw in a prime part of your choice that i have a spare of.

I don’t think they’re tradable.

They aren't. It would be, i give you money, you buy the plat, then trade it to me.

I kinda thought that might have been the route. There’s a pretty hefty credit-tax on plat transfers. I can’t remember if both parties pay it, or just the recipient. I won 150plat from a streamer, and I had to grind out some missions before I could afford the tax. (I had only started WF a week, previous.)

Reciver pays the tax and i have enough credits. once you get to the index money is pretty easy to get. 250k every match and each match is maybe 10 minutes if one person has decent gear. Bring rhino and a nice arca plasmor and everything melts nice and quick and you're basically invulnerable.

I played on the Switch when the port came for a good 30 hours but dropped off in part due to the technical prowess of the Switch. Now I've been playing on the PC for a while now, only MR4 so far though. I'm liking it t a lot this time around, it being rock solid and pretty to boot.

Gotta say the start of the game is rough on new players, I managed to rope in two friends for a two sessions after which both of them quit, just bewildered by all of the myriad systems around. I was watching a clip on youtube where the creative director of Digital Extremes was asked what would he change if he could go back and change something, and his response was (paraphrasing) "New player experience."

Any EU players still active, or is there an active clan going on the PC?

There is a clan. We have nearly all the blueprints/research completed. As far as active there is constantly a couple people pretty active although a lot of us play for a few weeks then take some time off etc. As far as EU I have no idea.

Post your in game name here if you want an invite.

More relic-cracking, and Saryn Prime is on the way

Got Vauban finished, and 30’d... glad to get the “Stormtrooper” out of the way - his abilities are a little uninspiring. He seems to be a pretty stationary guy - mines, “web”, and a “black hole” - his passive amplifies his damage to immobilized enemies.

Baro just does not stick around long enough... I only managed to pick up the 2 weapons, before he left. I wanted to grab the Primed Animal Instinct, too - I should’ve grabbed it first, I think.

In general best to get primed mods first.

Biggest thing Baro is not wait until baro is there to start farming items to sell. Pretty much every day you log on you should try to do a few fissure's. Keep stuff you want and grab highest junk you can to sell. Also keep an eye on fissures for when you find a "Capture" by far captures are the quickest way to open relics. Stay as a team kill everything until you all have 10, kill target then run to exit. Also note you 100% always should be doing fissures in full groups even if you normally play solo. Having 4 chances at rarer items is significant and can save you a lot of time and relics.
