Post a news story, entertain me!

For the first time, scientists have engineered a designer membraneless organelle in a living mammalian cell, that can build proteins from natural and synthetic amino acids carrying new functionality, allowing scientists to study, tailor, and control cellular function in more detail.

What is wrong with these people? Do they just not read science fiction AT ALL?

Anti-vaxxers appear to be losing ground in the online vaccine debate

"In late 2016, the anti-vax movement (in green) was much larger than the pro-vax movement (in blue). Over time, the pro-vax movement expanded and now dwarfs the anti-vaxxers."

Dark red dots are twitter accounts that have been shut down for being bots. Individual blobs are groups of Twitter accounts that retweet each other.

There is a part of me that wants to start a conspiracy theory about how big pharma is behind the anti-vax movement just to see what happens.

That could take off pretty easily. It's not even a hard sell.

"Big Pharma makes more money off treatments for measles, mumps, and rubella than they do off the vaccines - think about it, if more people get sick, more people need the medicine!"

There's actually not a single lie in that whole sentence, either.

And given some of the evil practices of big pharma the past few years (or decades) it isn't even a huge stretch.

Only took a few preventable death of children. Well done society.

Technically it's a cloaca, but that shouldn't effect the plan.

Actually, Titans don't have any waste excretion orifices. That's why his plan to kill half the universe doesn't make any sense: Thanos is full of sh*t.

Can we please be done with this?

It’s time for a new approach for mapping broadband data to better serve Americans

Microsoft in house study finds that the broadband charts published (made by them from data submitted by ISPs with no fact checking involved) by the FCC are largely incorrect/fabricated.

More sad than entertaining, but Japanese F-35 goes missing during test flight

A Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-35A fighter jet went missing off the coast of northern Japan on Tuesday, with a search mission now underway.

Japan had only stood up its first F-35A squadron at the end of last month, with the 302nd Hikotai established in Misawa with 13 F-35As following its transfer from Hyakuri, north of Japan’s capital Tokyo, where it had been operating the Mitsubishi F-4EJ Phantom II.

Holy sh*t, is Japan really upgrading from the F-4? I didn't know those still flew.

Here's some awesome news for a change!

As Ebola outbreak rages, vaccine is 97.5% effective, protecting over 90K people

(No antivax snark, please, let's just be happy about the lives saved.)

Thank Cthulhu we have something...

People gave an Escape Room a one-star review because they couldn't figure out how to get out

Members of your group ripped wires out of props - wires which were wire-tied, taped, and had markers on them indicating they should not be touched.

A member of the group then pulled the wires apart and thrust bare wires into a live electrical outlet (also marked with warning stickers), damaging the prop and tripping a breaker.

When asked why they'd stick bare wires in an outlet, one responded 'I know a lot about electricity'.

Vote on Magic Mushrooms; What the Heck Are They?

So a local, actual print magazine decided to tell everyone how to grow magic mushrooms.

Eh, the idea that the government banned specific plants has always been absurd.

Naked Man. Naked Man. Does whatever he wants to do. On the couch. Drinking juice. In your house. Not even shoes. Look out! Here comes the Naked Man!

He could give Florida Man a run for his money.
