2019 NFL Offseason Extravaganza

Sounds like PvZ Garden Warfare

Yes. Inject it directly in my veins.

Dante Fowler went on a (sadly now deleted) Twitter rant at one of PFF's writers, insisting that he never lost his job to Yannick Ngakoue, and "I only got benched for off field issues and not play".

I guess he never noticed that Ngakoue has been the starting defensive end for his entire Jaguar career except week 1 of his rookie season, and that week 1 game was literally Dante Fowler's only career start as a Jaguar.

Yeah Fowler, you never lost the job to Ngakoue, because you never had it to begin with.

Okay, Bryce Harper, you can sign with the Giants now.

Kraft has been officially charged.

Michael Crabtree to be released by the Ravens.

FTFY

No baseball allowed here!

I'm pretty sure Rat Boy and I are talking about the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals trying to sign Bryce Harper.

GREG ROBINSON WATCH: Robinson is returning to the Browns with a new 1-year deal, after allowing only 1 sack in 9 games.

Kyler Murray is reportedly up to 206 pounds, which would help his draft stock if true.

As expected. It's crazy to me that Greg Robinson continues to be an upgrade at LT over anyone, but considering the dearth of talent at OL I guess it makes sense.

Also, reports from Cleveland indicate that he's also a kind, slow-ish but hard working dude who got thrown to the wolves too early in his career.

PED suspension is 5...4...3...

Randy Gregory is suspended again, indefinitely.

Gregory can actually play when he gets on the field, getting 6 sacks last year as a rotational defensive end, 5 of those in the second half of the year as he worked his way into more reps. But he only played in 2 games in 2016 and missed all of 2017 for suspensions, and he likely won't play a snap in 2019, if ever again.

I honestly thought he was already out of the league.

That tells you that the trade market was not there. No one was willing to give up more than the 2020 compensatory pick the Eagles will likely get.

I'm starting to wonder if his free agent price tag also isn't going to live up to his hopes.

I hear Denver likes tall QBs...

Sometimes I wished the NFL worked like the NBA and teams traded expiring contracts. Just think of the 4-team, 30-player deals that would happen. Or someone would get creative and trade their practice squad for Foles and a couple of mostly-new blocking sleds.

Yeah if only Foles were a little taller. I see both players listed as 6-6, but Flacco measured 6-6 and 3/8ths at the Combine, while Foles actually measured 6-5 on the dot at his Combine.

Flacco survives, for now, until the Broncos draft 6-7 Tyree Jackson in the mid-rounds.

He can come and save the Dolphins from Brock Lobster.

Especially with what would have been an in-division trade no longer an obstacle, my prediction for Foles is that he lands in Washington.

You've got a coach there on the hot seat who just lost his veteran quarterback and needs someone that can play now. And at pick #15, they're not in the best spot to draft someone (they can trade up, but that means trying to get past other QB-needy teams that have higher draft pick ammo with which to win that battle)

Maybe sprinkle in a little of this:

So he got banned from the CFL because he was negotiating a contract in the AAF?

It's not clear what the termination of the CFL agreement was over. The CFL declined to comment, citing Canada's privacy laws.

EDIT: Though that seems to be how Manziel's agent is characterizing it:

That said, the CFL's effective banning of Manziel from the entire league seems like it would be an extreme reaction for a player wanting to play in another league.

Then again, while the CFL recognizes that the NFL represents upward movement from them, and that they get talent from the NFL's castoffs, they're probably not thrilled about the AAF stepping in there and potentially gobbling up the NFL talent that might otherwise have considered the CFL.

Will be sad to see him leave, but this makes sense, if there is a serious market for him. He had a pretty great season, and he is a guy you want in your locker room. He might not have gotten the Chiefs over the hump, but he was a big voice in the locker room to help focus players on how rare these opportunities come, and how much sacrifice is needed.

Would like to see him get a Super Bowl, preferably with KC. But a trade might make the most sense.

While he (Jonny) may be talking to an AAF team, RealDickTator is not an ESPN employee and he apparently hasn't actually talked to anyone.
