The Division 2 - Catch All

In this day and age 50 seems a little low for the clan cap.

That is ver low. Destiny 2’s 100 player limit got annoying when the game first launched

Id be surprised if you have 50 active members a month after release.

Wrong thread...

and yet accurate if we go by Div1...

It's low, but if we take Destiny 2 as an example, for this community at least, one clan per platform should be enough. I don't think this game will have more players than Destiny 2 (again, in this community).

I'll be playing on PC on day 1. Who is going to setup the clan?

I’ll probably get it (PC), but it’ll be 6mo to a year before I do...

Just picked up a Radeon 580 that came with Division 2 so I'll be there

Open Beta content revealed

They haven't changed their earlier statement (I believe a message in-game at the clan space in the private beta for the BoO) that Clans will not be live at launch, right? I looked through their recent stuff on clans and don't see any mention one way or another about when clans will be available.

No, I have the same question...I will ask to their official account and see what they say (if the say something)
The only thing is that clan are lvl locked, which always feels stupid to me in any game. I know it will behind some story bit but still...

Any chance the Open Beta progress carries over to the game when it launches?

I'd doubt it. I quit the closed beta after a handful of hours because I could have gotten burned out on it and become one of the naysayers that say it should have been an expansion after only playing 1/10 of the game

The Ubi page for the beta explicitly says somewhere that your progress from the earlier beta does not carry over, which sealed for me that I don't need to play this beta.

Absolutely not

I don't agree with them giving preorders early access for this type of game either. That's a huge advantage in pvp.

I just want a peek to see if my potato will run it.

Then no need to spend a lot of time in the open beta just to reply the same stuff when it releases.

That is a good point about PvP. I'm not really that interested in PvP but for those that are that would be a pain to start later than others.

Nice! I want to "storm the Pentagon"!

When are they going to announce Survival. Best part of D1.

So the season pass thing is pointless?

I'm contemplating getting this. Didn't play 1 so not sure. Have watched a few videos and been mixed so far. After the so so launch of Anthem, I'm also hesitant about getting in on day 1.

Ubi isn't EA. That said, it's not like it won't have it's launch issues.

For me, the season pass for Div has always been worth it. Definitely getting them for Div2.

OK, any details about what's in it then? I saw the year 1 vid above and it looks like it's all free? Just cosmetic and early access is included?

Not yet, but with Div1 it allowed you access to the additional modes like underground and survival. Except for devs saying they want to bring those back we have no other confirmation.

For me they've earned enough good will that i don't mind paying for it. I'm sure that's not the case for everyone.

Yeah I think they're switching up the model and all new content will be for everyone but the pass users get that stuff a week early and they also get other stuff like cosmetics(I think). They worked hard to make Div1 a good value and I believe they'll do the same here. Not splitting up the userbase with different content restrictions is a great idea in my book.

I agree. That's one of the things that, after years of being a diehard fan, has kind of soured me on the Destiny franchise. They've done it to varying degrees from the get go, but after 4+ years, it's a model that has worn a bit thin.

Is that really the case with the season pass? Just getting the free content early? That doesn't make sense. Why would anyone pay $40 for it plus cosmetics.

Seems to be.

"Year 1 Pass holders will be able to play the story content seven days before everyone else. They’ll also get immediate access to the three Specializations coming during the year. Non-pass holders will have to grind in order to unlocked them.

The Year 1 Pass comes with Classified Assignments, which are bite-sized story missions that will shed some light about the last hours before the fall of the city. Each Assignment awards an exclusive backpack trophy for those who complete them.

Season pass holders will also have access to an extra Bounty per week, and an extra Project each day until March 1, 2020."

It goes a bit further than that though. I wouldn't say all of their changes are for the good - the stash space in particular.

"Ubisoft also revealed how the game will be monetised post launch. First, The Division 2 will offer skins and cosmetic items for players willing to pay real money for them. The developer said that players will be able to earn cosmetics during the normal course of play, but will have the ability to directly buy what they want using real money.

Shortly after launch, The Division 2 will introduce loot boxes. Called Apparel Caches, these randomised boxes will too be strictly cosmetic, and will likewise be purchasable using real-world money. Two types of these exist at present: the standard Caches, and more specialised event Caches that will only be available during that event.

Stash size is another detail the publisher confirmed. Though extra stash slots are offered as a bonus for Ultimate Edition owners, Ubisoft said they won’t be selling stash space. What Ultimate Edition players are getting is simply a shortcut to a late-game stash size upgrade.

Should stash space become a problem for players down the line, the developer will look into solutions to be offered for free."

Thanks for link. I'm baffled but sort of happy about it. Baffled because you get less for getting it.
