Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

And with MS moving to Chromium too, Firefox is the only major browser offering competition.

Edit: I guess Safari too as far as the overall web is concerned. I'd use Safari on Windows if it were available just so I could have parity with my phone/tablet (since I can't change the default browser there :grumble:).

How's Opera doing nowadays?

I've used Opera for years and never had any issues. It's my go to for desktop and mobile.

My wife plays a lot of Star Realms (a deckbuilding game) on her phone. Earlier today, she beat some jerk using the handle "MAGA." We were both pretty happy with that.

That's awesome. How did it run on mobile? Do you need to commit to a whole game at once or is it asynchronous?

Just got done seeing Kacey Musgraves in concert. Such fun!

It runs really well on mobile. There’s an option for asynchronous play, but neither of us have ever used that. The real time option gives you about 60 sec per turn, plus an extra couple seconds every time you play a card. So long as you have a good connection, this works just fine.

Office Space is one of my favorite movies and the Ringer just posted a 20 year anniversary retrospective with interviews from almost all of the cast. Really good article if you liked the movie.

Went to a Poppy concert last night. My biggest takeaway was how awesome it was to be in a place where middle-aged metal heads, teeny boppers, gay men, nerds, and goths will all sing the same songs together.

Poppy... using the weird since 2013 to bring everyone together.

I was trying to be a good ally in a video game discussion where someone was being totally dismissive of LGBTQ concerns about a game. The person replied to me "This is why most games don't do anything for you guys because no matter how much they do to give you options it's never enough and there are no more pressing issues in the world than changing a bloody DLC."

I got "you peopled"! Sure, it came from an idiot, but still it kinda felt good.

Watching Hypothetical on Dave. Some asked,” Have you not HEARD of Google!?” To which James Ancaster replied, “ I’ve never heard of it. Where would you suggest I could find out more?”

Bing, of course.

Of Course!

For some reason, before he was on Taskmaster, I was under the impression that I didn't like James Acaster. I was wrong and have been watching Hypothetical largely because he's on it.

It REALLY suits him. He’s grown on me a lot more because of that show. He also has a style that you need to get used to as well.

The man himself in action (he’s the ‘mayor’ (and the wombles was a UK kids show.))

Those people don't like that I live in the US, apparently.

I guess it’s understandable. If people in the US had unfettered access to random clips from Dave then the worlds economy would surely be at risk .

The only way I know of to watch Dave shows is Google Drive uploads from r/panelshow. Somebody has been putting Taskmaster episodes on Youtube the last couple of days but I don't expect those to last long.

Yeah, Nick from Fulham got his youtube account banned... again. I think the next one he gets will be the fifth one of his I follow, and he's basically given up trying to get QI out there.

I'm thankful WILTY doesn't seem to give a f*ck. Gotta get my David Mitchell fix somewhere.

Here you go, bnpederson.

OH yeah!

Mitchell's passion just blows me away. Even if it's mostly faux passion.

I truly love Key & Peele.

Olivia Coleman's acceptance speech.

She actually apologized to Glenn Close. So British.

Made me feel proud to be a Brit.

I didn't realize it was Glenn Close's record setting seventh nomination without a win. I would have felt bad for taking it too.

It's a kind gesture on her part. It's not Olivia Colman's fault the academy are being jerks to Glenn Close.
