Trailer Catch All

My biggest issues with Fate were that I wasn't pleased with Hobbs being positioned as "the glue" of The Family--someone needed to assure Letty everything would work out, and sadly that someone should have been Paul Walker's Brian, but Letty has zero relationship with Hobbs--and the possibility that Shaw might be welcomed at cookouts despite murdering Han. This seems like an ideal use for both characters, and possibly frees up the mainline series to get back to being lovable rogues without allegiance.

Superhuman. Jut one step closer to space racing. Has to happen. C'mon, now.

Well sure, but what's your solution for the obvious problem here in which they can't do that?

Hah, yeah, tie it in with DC and put Lobo in there!

Roman or Tej imperfectly attempting to fill in that role...or have Letty be less than receptive.

Hobbs & Shaw, directed by David Leitch. You know, co-directed John Wick, directed Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2... yeah, that guy. I am SO there.

Superb Owl trailers:

(Also the Hobbes & Shaw movie trailer, upthread)

A video game trailer? In the Superbowl? Unpossible.

I didn't think it was possible for me to want to play Far Cry New Dawn less, but somehow they did it.

Yeessssssssssss!

OMG YES. Matt Barry for the extra win!

I'll have to watch the movie again now.

Okay, yeah, I might need to see this:

What is it with this trend of remaking movies as series?

I don't know about the trend, but because of Amazon's Hanna (which I did not watch the first episode yet), I rewatched the original movie. The movie is quite good, and has become one of my favorites. Details here:
https://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/...

The showrunner on the Amazon show Hanna, David Farr, was basically a screenplay fixer for the 2011 movie. Since that, IMDB sez he has a writer credit on another movie, and done quite a bit of writing, has exec produced a couple other TV shows, and has directed a few things. One thing he wrote and directed was one of my favorite episodes of PK Dick's Electric Dreams, Impossible Planet. Watch that if you haven't seen it, and maybe some other eps of that show.

I guess I bring all that up to say that I am hopeful about Hanna, but I wonder if it will dull the appreciation I have for the movie. The movie is a complete experience. At the end of the movie, Hanna wanted out; she'd had enough. Stretching it out into a series seems like an excuse to turn the superhuman Hanna into a super spy of some kind.

I kind of wish Farr had changed the name, or made it about one of the other children that were part of the experiment that created Hanna.

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five Trailer

So sounds like this is a new entry for the older DC Animated Universe (instead of the New 52 based DC Animated Movie Universe). They seem to jump between them kind of willy-nilly.

Is Miss Martian an import from Young Justice into the DCAU then? Or was she introduced at some point/in some movie I didn't see?

According to people on the internet, Young Justice is Earth-16 and DCAU is possibly Earth-12 (the Batman Beyond comics are Earth-12, but not necessarily the show). So this would be a different version of her than YJ's version. She first appeared in comics anyway, she wasn't created for YJ the way Harley Quinn was for Batman: TAS.

Looks like they're trying it again with a different spin. Can you dig it?

It is digged.

Okko's Inn

Remakes abound. But I do love Aubrey Plaza.

You know I don't think I ever got around to seeing any of the original Child's Play movies. But that was a good trailer. I don't think I'd see it in theaters, but would pick it up from the library or rent it.

Wait, so is he not possessed by a deranged psycho killer in this remake?

I don't know, but if he isn't voiced by Brad Dourif, I'm out.

I'll be honest, I don't know that turn of phrase well enough to understand what you're asking

Aaaaah gotcha. (I was never a big fan of Talking Heads )
