[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

Fun fact: most solar panels actually work better in colder temperatures. They're pretty common in Alaska and Antarctica, both of which are cold places that are more likely to be off the grid.

It took two years, but hell is freezing over.

Be nicer to Michigan, please.

The best reaction gif ever:

When I was doing a space vehicle design project in college I was really surprised by the enormous operating range of solar panels, there was a several hundred degree Celcius range that they could operate in. At various efficiencies, sure, but they would remain operational. Pretty sure they were the most robust electronic subsystem as far as temperatures went.

Also protip in general for Mr. Holt, next time you want to write a tweet about how something is a ridiculous idea because of an extreme environment think to yourself "has this technology been successfully deployed to many, many different places throughout the solar system?" may save you from looking like a dingus.

The problem is if they can apply such thought they'd think themselves out of the GOP

That's true, that's exactly what happened to me!

Please tell me someone deluged him with, what are those things called again, FACTS!

*EDIT* Nevermind, I reluctantly wandered into the twitter pool; people are being relentless (and hilarious).

I like how the weather forecast he attached shows almost nothing but sunshine.

Turning Point USA recently started an official UK twitter account and within hours dozens of parody accounts appeared, all claiming to be the real one and accusing all the others of being antifa hucksters. Some are flagrantly joke accounts but many are playing it close to the vest and are nearly indistinguishable from the real account. Chaos ensues.

They're all the parody, but especially the real one.

My favorite D&D setting from 2E, Dark Sun, pretty much revolves entirely around climate change. Athas used to be a verdant world but is now a scorched and barren desert, sterilized by the side effects of magic use. Everyone knows magic is at fault but it’s too useful and powerful a tool to completely discontinue, and now only a fairly small portion of the planet is still habitable.

Once again, don't f*ck with your IT folks.
