2018 Community Game of the Year

Well the WRC kicks off with Rally Monte Carlo later this week, how about releasing then? Oh that's right, WRC was a niche thing to begin with and after Sebastian Loeb, even less people care because he made it too boring to watch.

I'm not that into it. Again, i haven't watched in years and regularly since Sebastian Loeb sucked all the fun out of watching around his 2nd or 3rd championship winning season. And that's about all the motorsport I ever cared to watch.

22 unread posts in this thread, oh boy here we go...

nope, just nonsense. KEEP IT QUIET!

I have seen the results.

Spoiler:

1. Mass Effect, Kaidan lives
2. Mass Effect 2
3. Mass Effect 3, Green ending
4. Mass Effect: Andromeda
5. Mass Effect 3, Blue ending
6. Mass Effect 3, Red ending
7. Slay the Spire
8. Spider-Man
9. God of War
10. Mass Effect, Ashley lives. Obviously the worst possible Mass Effect, but it's still Mass Effect.

Red trumps green and blue but aside from that... yes.

Walking away from all 3 endings trumps all 3 endings.

Yeah, well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I chuckled at the two posts above me.

I didn't really care about the ending(s). The journey was everything.

I literally stumbled into the first (green) ending. But hey, it was probably the ending I'd sought anyway, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for my predictions of what we'll see coming out of this year's votes:

1) Witcher 3 will be number 1

1) more people will buy Slay the Spire when it's next on sale

2) more people will buy Subnautica when it's next on sale

Now live on the front page! Thanks everyone for participating and Eleima for doing an amazing job compiling and writing everything up!

Thank you kindly.

Huzzah!

Good job, thanks Eleima!

Woot woot you rock Eleima!

Great write up. Sad to see that none of my games made the top 5 nor did I play any of the top 5

YES!! Every game I nominated was in the top TEN!!

Spoiler:

Seeing as Slay the Spire was the only new game I played this year, that was pretty much a given.

Thanks Eleima for all your hard work, and the SDF says your check is in the mail.

Well done Eleima!
Thanks for all the exhaustive effort.

Thanks Eleima!!

Thank you Eleima!!

2017 - Played 3 of the top 10 including the top 2 and was quoted.
2018 - Played 0 of the top 10.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in tallying my favorite games of a year until the year is actually over.

As an aside, and not to change course of these threads, for me, having to weigh in even by Jan 1 is a bit too early. I'd rather sit on it and have time to process anything played at the end of the year, which is when a lot happens / gets played.

thats me just trying to put together a list of games I've touched this year.

ALREADY ATE MY TURKEY IN CANADA!

You knew that, though.

I did, as I have relatives in Canada. I'm talking about all those unruly Americans.

I completely get that. It's all about balancing everyone's expectations, and also leaving myself enough time to do the research (because you people NEVER vote for the games I've played) and actually write everything up (and that takes a trucklaod of time), and actually push it all out before February...

You are an International Treasure, Eleima.

Eleima, taking one for the team *

*by playing great games...

Thank you for the kind words, and it absolutely is my pleasure.

Just dropping a link to the 2019 thread in case there's anyone else like me that primarily checks Recent Activity and wasn't aware the thread was up already.
