Banjo Tooie

I was going to visit family/friends this long holiday weekend but then I saw the upcoming snow in the weather forcast and decided against it. I want to put some serious time into Persona 5 which I've been neglecting and get further into Banjo Tooie.

-Diablo 3 season 16
-Dead Space
-SW Kotor 2
-Battlefield 1
-SimCity 4 (so much better than the POS 2013 release)
-C&C Generals
-Jade Empire
-Dead Space 2 or 3

I'm f*cked ;P

I've been taking it back to 2001 and playing Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC). A new free shard server launched last week and has been a blast to play. Game is dated and the controls show but the RvR / PvP is the best ever created.

Some trophy clean up here...

And I may download and try this if I get some time...

I'll probably play some more Warhammer 40K Mechanicus. I'm 26% into the campaign now and canticles have been unlocking left and right.

I like the move away from move then attack. It feels much more natural to be able to move attack someone, then continue to move and attack someone else. Or to attack someone with ranged and then move in and attack with melee. I also like how cognition points add flexibility for extra movement. I could use some UI improvements, like show what type of damage enemy attacks do by hovering over them (once it is known).
It's funny because while I don't really have any complaints and I like it, I generally only play a mission or two and I want to move on. It lacks something that makes me want to crank out mission after mission.

I may also play some Kingdom Come Deliverance.

More Persona 5 (PS4), and possibly some more Super Metroid (SNES) as well.

Should have time to get some good gaming in this weekend. For Space Game Junkie, if I can get it to work, I'll be playing this for next week's game of the week:

Plus I'll try to get some coverage of these:

IMAGE(https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/651940/header.jpg?t=1547553507)

For myself, likely a lot more:

IMAGE(https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/582160/header.jpg?t=1532007112)

Plus the beta of this, which I am LOVING:

Along with more of this fun thing:

Should be a really fun weekend.

I'll continue with Alienation. I'm about halfway through, and I love it.

I'm 30+ hours deep into Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and no reason to stop now. And I still want to dip my toe into Battlefront 2 over the long weekend.

Well, did it set a new standard for the games world?

So Red Dead Redemption 2 and Trails in Cold Steel 2. So hyped for 3 and recently finished 1. I can do this.

Unlikely.

I'll be playing Cosmic Star Heroine and hoping to finish Monster Boy.

Subnautica still has its hooks in me, so if I have any time for games this weekend I expect that’s where it will be spent.
If the weather is as bad as predicted on Sunday and I end up with enough time on my hands to finish Subnautica, I’ll probably put some time into Endless Legends or Moonlighter.

My head is mostly in work and family stuff right now, which makes it hard for me to focus on any games. I’ve managed to play short snatches of Lumines and a few puzzles in Captain Toad, and I’ll likely fire up a few missions in Destiny 2 but short sessions is where I’m at right now.

I might push through and finish Transistor.

Also fired up Shadow Tactics again to chase some of the more interesting badge challenges. Easy peasy on the early levels, but I jumped ahead to one of the later missions and now I'm trying sneak through without climbing any walls at all. That has involved some quicksave scumming.

This might be the weekend to decide if I'm joining the JRPG club for a New Game+ run of Persona 5.

I'm going to be giving my Switch a little lovin' this weekend with

Octahedron: Transfixed Edition

This psychedelic little 2D puzzle platformer got my heart-a-poundin' after trying out the demo earlier in the week. The game released on Thursday and I've been playing it every chance I get!

The game turns the platforming genre on its head by allowing you to conjure ephemeral platforms that at your feet where and when you need them. The game also knocks the notion of "always run right" on the head, giving you much more verticallity and a choice of direction when it comes to deciding where to go.

Level design is also immaculate, introducing new types of challenges every level or two across the 30 levels I've played so far.

I HIGHLY suggest this game to anyone who has ever loved 2D platformers, even if you've become jaded by the seemingly ever present tropes. Check out the demo at the very least.

The MK 11 gameplay reveal got me a bit hyped. So I decided to reinstall a certain older game. I will try to keep digging away at my holiday games...

Spoiler:

Mortal Kombat X
Dragon Age Inquisition
God of War

Ass Creed 2, and X plane

So far a bit of Beat Saber, a bit of INSIDE and a bit of ReZ VR. Was hoping to deep dive on Dead Island and Saints Row 3, perhaps even Wolfenstein: The New Order, but that's looking unlikely atm.

Diablo 3 on Switch! Started a new Demon Hunter for the new season.

Also Township on Android. And a few other phone games here and there.

Started playing Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition again after dropping off it early on, and now I'm really digging it! Can't remember why I dropped off...could've had something to do with Dead Cells, or maybe I just wasn't in the right mood.

It's easy to get lost in that game, I put a lot of hours into it on the 3DS. Enjoy!

Very impressed by Dragon Quest VIII on 3DS. Having just finished DQXI and loving it more than most other games, I couldn't resist this. Maybe a bad move playing an older game straight after the new hotness, but it's good! Love having something like this on the go.

Kinda feels weird going back to the 3DS after playing the Switch for so long, but I can see myself doing this some more. There are a few more quirky little JRPGs on the 3DS I want to try, and hopefully, I can buy them before they get too expensive (The Alliance Alive, Radiant Historia, various SMT games) .

KOTOR 2

I have no doubt this is a fantastic game once modded/restored. I adored KOTOR 1, but it's been a few years and I'm struggling a bit with the amount of reading/conversations and slower pace of the D&D system. I can see the quality, but I'm sitting on the fence given my lack of time for gaming.

Hopefully a few more hours in and I'll get lost in the game again. I'm really hoping I can get back into it, because I'm on a huge Star Wars binge right now, and just want to play as a badass sith!

My weekend this time around seems a bit more open, time-wise, so I'm hoping to spend some decent quality time with Timespinner, perhaps play through the remainder of SOMA, and make sizeable dent in Dead Island.

The idea is to make sure I finish all three of those games by the January's end so I keep my compromise with the pile hehehe.

Zombies (Black Ops 1) co-op with my wife. She requested we find a copy and I'm glad we did! It's more fun than I remember.

Hey, its Friday. You know what that means? Video Games.
More of the same.

Witcher 3 is the only real sure fire hit, but I've been trying to get back to playing some of my games in progress, so we'll see.

Tomorrow starts 9 days off work to destress and recharge, but the plan is basically the same, in addition to Witcher 3, will probably spend some time with Raceroom. Plan to hopefully get to 60 villagers in Banished, put some solid time into Steep and Subnautica and maybe really get back into the swing of things with Legend of Heroes on PSP.

Mindlessly leveling crafters in FF14, probably.

More Persona 5 (PS4), and more Super Metroid (SNES).
