It's a big tall cabinet right next to where you stick all your stash.

Only thing next to the stash is the book of Cain and the mailbox that's clickable (Act V). The Switch version definitely has it?

It's also essentially pointless. If you're not a very high level you are using the best gear available to you. If you are super high level you've played long enough to get bored of a certain build and want a place to stash it. Odds are better that you've looked to another class for variety, not another armor set.

Not necessarily true. Just for variety if you don't want to focus or use the season starter set you can store it there and not have to worry about it taking up space and can swap to it later or if you're building a set and don't have all the pieces yet. It's a very good QoL item.

I actually have several builds for my Crusader.

To clarify, it doesn't store it in the Armory when you aren't using it. It stores the item in your stash, so you're not getting extra space.

I use it all the time to swap between my T13 speeds / Bounty / GR Pushing. Even then I'll split the GR as well to Speeds / Pushing. I'll use 5 armory slots very easily for my DH this season.

@bekkilyn I'm not sure as I'm purely PC. Anyone else on Switch, are you able to confirm?

Has anyone figured out how legendary potions work now? The patch note says they don't take up inventory space now, but I'm finding some of them do and some don't, for no apparent reason. It looks like maybe the ones I had in inventory when the patch hit now don't take a space, but the ones I had in my stash still do, even when I move them to inventory? Either there's a bug or there's some complication they didn't explain and I can't figure out.

Drag the potion onto your bar. It lives there now and will no longer take up a space in your inventory.

Are you in Adventure mode? I don't have d3 for switch but I checked up a switch gameplay video and the armory gizmo was right there in town. It looks like a big iron maiden to me.

If you're in Campaign Mode (i.e. story mode with cutscenes etc.), the armory doesn't show up there in any version.

Yeah, it is anything but useless.
Not sure I like the fact the game has this feature (because I'm skeptical about the ability to respec in a second). But now that you can respec freely, it sure is a good feature to have when jumping between GRifts, Rifts, bounties, groups, solo. Some builds have fairly big differences even between solo and groups. If nothing else, than for Unity ring, it can truly suck to forget equipping that solo - or if multiple people forget to unequip it in groups. Death death death everywhere.
Last few seasons I played, I ran out of armory slots quite fast.

Oh, that is a nice change.

That's gotta be it because I've only played Adventure Mode on Switch and it's definitely there, but I haven't fired up the regular Campaign Mode because I've played that one too many times.

bekkilyn, the Armory is for setting up sets of armor and weapons. The regular campaign mode doesn't really use this because you don't begin collecting unique sets until you hit level 70 and play a buttload of endgame stuff (ie. Rifts).

So what build is expected to be the new hotness for S16?

I should be on the PC tonight for grinding a toon in the new season. Thinking I'll probably play a demon hunter this time around, we'll see what happens when I log in. Although if wife is playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, I might play the Switch instead in portable mode so in the same room as her.

When does the new season start?

Today (18th) at 5pm, in each region.

5pm, bastards. I'm home all day.

It's already started for me, but yet it hasn't because I don't play on Asia servers.

I'm in campaign mode, so that's why it's not there! Yay! Mystery solved thanks to the both of you!

And you're right, I don't need it at the moment, but I was curious about it all the same!

Im looking forward to the start of the Season tonight, as is my wife, for some couch-coop on Switch. She'll be playing a Demon Hunter and I havent decided what to play yet. Im loving the Necromancer and I've always enjoyed ol Laser Hands (wizard). I will probably flip a coin and play the other solo in Hardcore mode.

Much like mods in World of Warcraft, it isn't really necessary to enjoy the game, but once you use it, you'll wonder what you ever did without it.

See everyone tonight. Starting with a WW barb but may go to chargy or jumpy at some point.

I'll be there with my monk beads on. Uliana says, "Talk to the hand."

What are the sets for this season?

edit:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
Crusader – Seeker of the Light
Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana

So what is expected to be the go to build to push the GRs this time?

I am tempted to go for LoN first because then I can pass the gear on to alts to farm their sets for them.

I may go Wizard since I have never made an archon build to date.

5 pm Pacific according to the patch notes, sigh, 1 hour and 40 minutes....

Are we there yet?

starts at 9am for me. I'm well rested, had a good night sleep, got everything ready and going to pretty much play all day and all weekend. Even got Monday off. Breakfast done, got coffee and hairy lemon, I'm good to go!

Time to get my playlists together for some d3 and chill sessions! Giggity!

Sweet. 7pm for me. Got a big mug of tea and a glass of bourbon. Hope to get to 70 tonight but won't cry if I poop out early. Got all weekend.

Cleared GR70 and when you do so, RNGesus rewards you with a guaranteed Primal.

I got a Primal Yangs Recurve with perfect stats. Just need to roll the Vit for attack speed and it's Perfect. Day 1. Day freakin 1. So damn happy

New season eh? I just might roll up a toon, it's been a while again.

Grats though.
