Video Game Deals Catch-All

Out of all the so-called "walking simulators", Edith Finch was far and away my favourite and worth full price to me, so if you can put up with yet another launcher on your PC, I would recommend it.

Yes. I have enjoyed some others like Firewatch and Gone Home well enough, but Edith Finch was my favorite by a huge margin. Not all of the vignettes are winners, but the few standouts are worth the ride alone. Plus, it's a small time commitment, and you can't go wrong for free.

So, it seems this is a pretty good deal on a race wheel. Via email newsletter, Thrustmaster T150 for $75 on Newegg with promo code EMCTUTA38

They look to be going for around $100 used on ebay and craigslist. Man, if I hadn't just bought a new video card for twice the price of my previous card...

Also, that code applies to some other hardware and there's a 35% off of PS4 and XB1 controllers.

Offer ends 11:59PM PT on Sunday, 01/06/2019

Lots of good deals at Target on Nintendo games including Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds for $5. Others are $15, or $25. Availability varies.

I hit two different Targets. One of them was mostly picked clean of the good stuff, but the other had a pretty good selection. Coincidentally, my 3DS pile is significantly larger now.

Lol, enabled on the farewell tour!

We just got the kids 2DS XL's for Christmas (first 3DS's in the house) so we're building a library up. I'm hesitant on Luigi's Mansion, though. Picked up Link Between Worlds and NSMB2

I haven't played Luigi's Mansion yet, but Luigi's Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) is really good.

I'm assuming this is country specific, but there's a Target down the road I'm gonna check out. Crossing my fingers! There are still a few gaps in my 3DS library.

Update: No luck

It looks like Amazon is matching some of the $25 deals. None of the $5 or $15 ones, though, that I saw.

Homeworld Remastered Collection (Homeworld 1 & 2) for $5.25, for the next ~14 hours, while key supply lasts.

Did they stop making the 3DS or something? Why all the goodbyes?

No, but it's pretty much reached end of life. The last major releases come out for it in early February, and non-specialty retailers are starting to clear out stock.

I grabbed Warioware Gold from Amazon for $25 yesterday. That'll be a great podcast bus game!

Well, crap. Fanatical has Battletech (Steam key) for 45% off ($22). Fifty cents over the lowest historical price according to isthereanydeal.com. The Deluxe Edition, with artbook, wallpapers, soundtrack and PDX forum icon, is only fifty cents more. Seven days to go on this deal.

So much for me escaping holiday season sales.

Fanatical also has a whole lot of other stuff on deep discount right now.

Dark Souls 3 is on sale for $15 on Humble. $25 for the Deluxe edition. I have no desire to PVP. Should I get the one or the other, or wait for another sale or a bigger sale considering I've got more than enough to play right now?

Blast Zone! Tournament is free on steam. I haven't played it. Looks like a bomber man clone.

Memoria is $2 on humble bundle.

If deluxe has all the DLC, I'd get that one, unless the DLC is really cheap separately.

As far as whether to buy now, it's a great game, but I try to only buy things I plan to play extremely soon.

Heads up!

What Remains of Edith Finch will be free on the Epic Games Store next week

The Epic Games Store has revealed its next free game, in the form of Giant Sparrow's high-regarded What Remains of Edith Finch. The game will be available free from the store between January 10-25, and follows similar offers for Subnautica and Super Meat Boy (the latter is still available, in case you've yet to snap it up).

Mark your calendars.

Reminder!

It’s so good. I really recommend this game!!

I so wish it were on Mac, but it's free, so I should relax.

My grocery store's clearing out PS4 games after Christmas, I guess. Picked up Mega Man 11 for $7.49 and Detroit: Become Human for $14.99. Also had:

Monster Hunter World $12.49
Mortal Kombat X (maybe XL) $4.99
Injustice 2 $9.99
Ni No Kuni II $7.49
Metal Gear Survive $7.49
Burnout Paradise Remastered $9.99
AC Origins $14.99

I think she was getting ready to mark down the Xbone and Switch stuff. Anyone wants anything, let me know.

Bonus, how much for Detroit and Monster Hunter shipped to PA?

You can always get it from the web store. You know. For later.

Usually $2.77 individually, so let's just call it $5 + 8.25% tax.

Not a video game deal, but a deal nonetheless. Crossposting from the board game thread:

It looks like all of the Wizards D&D 5th edition hardcover books are on sale (~60% off). I haven't played D&D in literally decades, but I'm sorely tempted to pick some of these up just because they look so damn nice.

Link didn't work for some reason; might be just me, though. I went in via a different path and got a different one.

Wizards Stuff on Amazon

They've been on sale for a while, at least over a week, so I'd jump if you plan on getting them. Who knows how long they will stay this price.

Thanks BEP. Looks like the GWJ Amazon adjustment code mangled my link.

Gah the Dnd stuff is tempting. Got into that recently and really enjoy it, but I haven't actually gotten my friends to play. I also saw that it was cheaper to buy all the items from the set individual then together. With the only thing missing being the case that holds all the books. Really want it but I should probable finish the starter set first...

A Story About My Uncle free on Steam for 2 days

Serena is free on steam. Never played it but it looks interesting .
