Second half of Miraculous Ladybug season 2 is finally up on Netflix!
Also season 8 for Voltron!
Anime can suck it! j/k I watch tons of anime too.

I dropped off of Miraculous Ladybug half way into season one because every episode followed the same format which go dull. Did it show change things up later on?

Just started the last season of Voltron and it is on fire so far. They hit the feels early on.

I really can't fault anyone for feeling that way. I think first season writing was slightly rushed, but they were also intentionally imitating stuff like sailor moon, so yeah. I think they vary within the format though, like lengths of each act and the battles and danger is creative, but it's not like they have an episode without a transformation sequence.

At the very least by start of second season at least you can't set a timer to figure out when things are going to happen.
Really though, same format isn't a big deal to me, surprisingly. The maddening bit comes when you ship Marinette and Adrien and they ship-tease the two every single episode or when you pray that Chloe won't be such a horrible person, but she's getting better. Hopefully that'll be a good moral lesson for the children who watch.

I'm like on season 6? or something of Voltron, looking forward to watching, dreading the end of the show.

3Below the Troll Hunters spinoff has been released. Looks crazy.

I just spotted that was on Netflix yesterday - looking forward to checking it out.

also I'm up to date with Steven Universe again I think. That wedding episode was A-MAZING!

Spoiler:

I love that Ruby and Sapphire were not wearing the gendered clothing you'd expect them to given their character designs - Ruby was in the dress and Sapphire was looking rather dashing in her tux

Also White Diamond is kinda terrifying. I LOVE HER.

Today is Young Justice returns day.

To the DC streaming service.

Watched all 13 episodes the weekend they came out. My wife and I who were big fans of Troll Hunters really enjoyed it, we would have liked to see a full 20+ episodes though. It was just as good as Troll Hunters.

Which... is probably enough to get me to subscribe for a month. Is it all out at once or are the episodes one a week?

Yeah I really enjoyed 3Below. It's interesting how the episodes run in parallel to the last season of Trollhunters, seeing the same sequence of events from a different perspective was fun. Plus the show has one hell of a cast.

They also managed to flesh out Steve into a semi-likeable character.

I went from being very interested in the first episode to nearly giving up watching any more in episode 3 to quite enjoying it by the time it was over with 3Below. 2nd screen watching and it being in English helped me finish it off. I really thought it was going to plummet into stupid antics of an alien trio stranded on earth (with a tone aimed at kids) for a bit. And Vex had me worried most of all that nothing would come of his character. I never watched Troll Hunters for my perception that it would be terrible. So, maybe I should give it a chance?

FINE. I'LL GOOGLE IT.

It's only 3 episodes right now with 3 more available in a week. 26 episodes for the season which is actually longer than both of the first series put together, that said, I don't know how long each episode is.

Trollhunters is not terrible! If you liked 3Below you'll like Trollhunters.

Yeah, between that and the surprisingly good reviews that Titans got it's probably worth a month or two once they're all out.

Yeah. I'll wait and sub rather than exploring... alternatives.

Netflix just dropped their trailer for the new Carmen Sandiego.

The episodes are the same length they would be for broadcast.

/owen wilson "wow"

Watched the first three episodes of young justice new season. I don't think I remember so much killing going on in the other seasons. Besides that it is pretty much more of the same. I am loving it so far. They don't explain the new setup. I guess we will learn why people are where they are at.

Does DC also have the first two seasons? I certainly haven't rewatched since that ended, what, five years ago?

Yep, they have the first two seasons also.

They also have scattershot "Enhanced" episodes from the first two seasons being put up, but I'd only recommend the ones with the producers doing audio commentary. The ones with fans have them superimposed on screen when they speak.

Reign of the Supermen comes out on the 29th but you can buy a digital copy now. I wonder why animated movies don't do the dvd+digital combo thing. This is a sequel to Death of Superman. There is actually more than one Death of Superman animated movie.

It seems to be provided with the Blu-Ray release.

The original Superman: Doomsday adaptation took some (massive) liberties in order to fit within a single movie.

Is anyone else here watching the new Danger Mouse? We're in season two and it's so wonderful.

Well. I subbed a few days ago, have gone through all 9 that are out. Can confirm, it's more YJ so it's great. It's pretty violent, though. Many deaths.

I also started Titans and that's surprisingly good.

I don't know, I might give this a month, cancel, and then resub when it's done because there's not a lot else on here that I'm interested in.

But I started YJ over in the meantime so... we'll see.

I forgot about it and never got around to watching any of the first season. I liked the original series.

Oh. Dude. If you liked the original you'll like this one. Brian Cosgrove, one of the original creators, works on the new one.

Well I'm curious. Loved the original when I was very little.
