Lou, did you get the notes inside?

SallyNasty wrote:

IT WAS YOU? Woo! I got SallyNasty! There were 3 notes. Batman, Iron, and Mat. If there were more I bet they got past Amazon's packaging. The oversized box (investigated thoroughly for more) had room under the flaps where they could have slipped out.

Shoot, i thought the pliers one was funniest. I'll see if I can find it;)
Merry Christmas!

LouZiffer wrote:

Oh, my Stanta...

I just received a couple of packages. In them I received GOODIES!

Batman: Almost Got 'Im card game (I must not be dead inside as it's awesome and welcomed!)
Beanie Baby murderbutt which the children refuse to stop cuddling so I can have a turn.
Heat-resistant soldering mat with recessed places for putting parts, helping hands, etc. Maybe I'll stop burning tables!
Hakko 599B soldering iron tip cleaner. I can throw away my nasty 30-year-old sponge!
Irwin Vise-Grip Wire Strippers The first wire strippers I've owned which aren't a knife and, with their lifetime warranty, probably the last. One less way I'll injure myself.

The geeky stuff seriously improves quality of life for my wife (and me) for the reasons noted above. It also arrived just in time to be used! This weekend Gavin (youngest) is receiving an LED Christmas Tree project from family in NC to put together before the holiday. We're going to have a lot of fun while he learns some very valuable skills.

Thank you, Stanta!

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/QKWWWVO.gif)

Is the almost got him based off of the BTAS episode?

A package has been received from Maryland. I am not at home to verify contents and there is every possibility that it is something I purchased for myself like a vacuum cleaner piece. That said, anxiety is building.

Stanazon says a package should arrive for somebody on Christmas Eve. #vague

Flawless timing! Today is my first day of holiday vacation from work, and a second package arrived! No better way to start a vacation than with a package from my Stanta, Pyxistyx!

First off, a huge and heartfelt thank you! I'm very touched by the time and thought you put in to all of this!

Some personalized cards with strategically covered Steam keys! And yes, that's me in what I can only assume is a Hamilton costume and various game-related headwear. Gotta see if my scanner is working because I smell a new holiday avatar! Oh, and I smell cinnamon
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/ImLCDFO.jpg)
I've been redeeming the keys while I write this out. They're for Tabletop Simulator, Into the Breach, and Darkest Dungeon + all the DLC! That's absolutely perfect and purely wonderful!

Saga Illustartion postcards!
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/inZVQKZ.jpg)
I've loved watching your art through the Something you Made thread, and now I have some of my very own! I love the Caucus Race, being particularly fond of Alice in Wonderland. My wife loves the Falcon Square (having visited Inverness years ago, which made her all the more excited for the other things in the box).

Local treasures!
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/SY1IpdU.jpg)
I'm guessing the cattle are for my kids, but my wife and I really like them, and they are really, really soft! Who am I kidding, my kids claimed them almost immediately! The candy looks perfect, though my wife is "sampling" them before anyone else. And she's already into the books! You probably didn't know that she has Scottish heritage, so those were golden picks!

Saving the best for last!
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/7w2sdF7.jpg)
Portraits of my family! My daughter (5 yo) would hardly put them down. "Can I have this Mommy picture in my room when she's gone? And this Daddy one when you're gone?" You mentioned having grander plans, but this was truly wonderful!

Thank you so very much, Pyxistyx! Truly a wonderful gift! I'm lacking in words to express it well, but I'm feeling very touched by your gift! Thank you!

Thank you.

Dearest Stantee,

Bonus gifts 3 and 4 will be delayed. The Link at the post office was out the door. Will try again when I have more nerve to walk in with your package.

Hopefully you are enjoying gift 1a, 1b, and gift 2.

Stanta

Thank you mysterious Florida person.

Thanks tons. I promise to practice my necromancy with Asian diligence.

Yay Paleocon! You received your gifts and it looks like they all got there just fine. Hope you liked the duct-taped recycled packaging. It seemed appropriate for the theme.

The notebook is the real treasure in there. All handmade including the paper, and not exactly something you'd find at Office Depot.

The "portable power" sticker is something special from Rob Cockerham. He threw in a bunch that he printed with a funny mug I bought off of him, so I've been gradually giving them away (and have used a few) over the years.

The coconut patties are a local addiction of mine, and the gator jerky is something sold everywhere here because some fool decided the monsters that live here might taste good.

The other two came from the land of the smiley arrow what delivers in two days, as your list (it better be yours) was the only one of your name which made sense.

ENJOY!

I was just about to post that I figured out who it was after doing a Google maps search on the return address.

BTW, how do I get snail mail to you?

Pro tip: his real name is Rumplestiltskin.

Kiri! You have done so well(with a little treat from Robear, which has been stolen my my youngest already). I will upload pics later but wow so generous and thoughtful - love it:) Happy Stantening!

I can't decide if I am going to put that sticker on my laptop or be a dick and stick it on an airport wall.

Glad that and the board game package went over well

I was going to do a few more avatar pics then send them through digitally once you got your parcel but I didn't have the chance to sit down and actually finish them, I'll send you through the ones I have as soon as I get a spare minute (it's a bit late tonight, i'll try to get them through to you tomorrow though).

Is the almost got him based off of the BTAS episode?

It's a social deduction game based on it. The villains (and Batman in disguise) are playing poker. Either the villains guess who Batman is and subdue him, or Batman subdues a certain number of them and wins. Your hand and/or cards played to the table can activate certain abilities depending on who you are.

This is a wonderful blend of nerdery and local home-town pride.

I just ran out of coffee beans, so the Zeke's was opened immediately, a couple tablespoons lovingly ground by hand, and Aeropressed out into a deliciously dark brew.

I've yet to break into the Old Bay, like I said, things have been hectic at home, and we've been eating out more than cooking in. But I can't wait for some post-holiday lulls so I can get my 'Bay on.

These coasters are going to be a great addition to our game room downstairs, which is currently lacking in coasters and has gained an abundance of condensation stains.

And your pin selection game was on point. I can't wait to rock a few of these at my company's sales offsite in a few weeks. Personally, I've been a big fan of the Maryland flag, so I'm glad I get to also add that to my collection.

And to my Stantee - I've spent the last month stalking and honing a list, and finally pounced tonight. You should receive two phases, the first coming via Steam on Christmas morning, and the second phase will, regrettably, be most likely coming sometime after the turn of the new year. If you'd like to get that "present under the tree" feeling, I suggest placing your gaming PC, monitor, keyboard, and mouse under the tree on Christmas Eve, right about the same time you leave out cookies and milk for the other Santa guy.

Sweet. Mother. Of Santa.

Friends, my secret Stanta was Skraut, who noted that I'm a fan of tabletop gaming and the fantastic Fantasy Flight title Mansions of Madness. And so he went HOG WILD with his 3D printer... and this is the result.

Always easy to tell when Stanta has come to town!
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/sv2O6yW.jpg)

Here's my first impressions of this bounty, this spread. Skraut was kind enough to include detailed instructions and an outline of everything he put in here. Amazing detail.
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/hVCJSxa.jpg)
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/3kQKPGY.jpg)

In here you can see the only non-printed thing in my gift, an expansion to Mansions I didn't have. More spoopy fun!

So what all do we have here? Well we've got a Ghost, one of m'buddies from back in the Bungie days and an amazing add to my desk:
IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/6DBnmXS.jpg)

A freaking Dice Tower! Check out the detail down in the well!

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/AlcYCUo.jpg)

If you have not played Mansions before this is a cool plastic shell to pair with the character sheets and track yer stats and literally I'm gonna get people together tomorrow to use these bad boys.

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/Vs3caRy.jpg)

Not only is this little dice holder amazing but no joke I've wanted more dice for SO long. In the core box you get, like, 6. So this is a huge deal for all of us to be able to have a bunch of dice. Yesss!

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/6JZjJxM.jpg)

This dice/figure holder is maybe the most impressive thing in the bunch. The Dice Tower is detailed and obviously took a lot of time to make, but this thing is fantastic! When you get the lid on the seam is very very thin, almost invisible. The paint job he did is really nuanced, and this is some thick, substantial plastic that makes this feel high quality. Super well done!

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/L86VkN1.jpg)

Here's a good look at the plastic tokens to replace the cheapy cardboard in my set, and I'm so looking forward to using these things.

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/AKx3eDb.jpg)

Last but not least a super cool puzzle box that I haven't even really started playing with. Apparently there's a d20 down in there to reward me for playing, and I can't wait to futz around with this.

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/URLtn0Z.jpg)

Dude, you outdid yourself. So, so, so much fun. Thank you for all of this awesome.

So glad everything arrived in one piece. Was worried about that dice tower. I was just trying to say that there were things in the D20 which you found, and something else in the puzzle box.

As mentioned, here's the build log of everything that went into the box.

Yeah! Welcome to MD from Philly. Came here myself last year.
