NFL 2018: Week 15

Well, that was less than ideal.

I expected KC to lose this game. I also don't think it means much. Thursday football is a lie.

It kinda does. It means KC has just gone from winning the West and getting the No. 1 seed to potentially ending up as a wild card. Not optimal!

You know who holds the tiebreaker? KC beat LAC in Week 1 so that series is 1-1.

I believe KC still has the lead, at least they said that last night.

Without skin in the game, it was a fun watch. Was sort of pulling for the Chargers after (yet another) night of putrid officiating. We only watched the fourth quarter but we could not believe some of the calls (or no calls, in the case of Rivers getting speared late). I am sure KC fans will point to the officiating as well. Seems to be a common theme this year, especially in prime time or nationwide broadcasts.

Jerseys are expensive.

At least it wasn't the usual garbage TNF game. I actually watched the whole thing. A little sluggish this morning...

I do hate that Damien Williams had such a great game last night, seeing as ukick has him in Chase for the Kolb though.

Damien Williams looked fresh and fast. He's not a particularly good RB but he's dangerous out of the backfield for sure.

Jags cut Barry Church. The shedding begins already.

I'm convinced these Saturday games are a conspiracy to make the last three hours of RedZone boring.

And has anyone photoshopped Mike McCarthy disappearing into those Aaron Rodgers Bose commercials?

GARION WHERE ARE YOU

Browns!

Aaron Rodger's streak of not throwing a pick stops at 402 passes.

Cody Kessler played a game against Josh Johnson and still only managed to be the 2nd best QB on the field.

He couldn't wait another 18 pass attempts? What an asshole.

SEATTLE AND NEW ENGLAND LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless Jackson pulls off a miracle in la, it looks like Baltimore misses the playoffs again. 10 wins looks like the price of entry.

You know, with all this debate about whether or not Die Hard is a Christmas movie, I'm surprised Batman Returns isn't cropping up in the conversation. Not as good as B:TAS' "Christmas With The Joker," but still.

I cannot remember a single Christmas thing from Batman Returns.

I saw a breakdown of most streamed holiday movie by state the other day and Batman Returns was in 4 or 5 states. I was shocked

Speaking of Christmas miracles, Saint Nick delivers in Los Angeles. Again!

Dare I dream for a chance? I was so sure we'd get curb-stomped this game, and yet here we are (though the team almost screwed the pooch on the fourth quarter again).

I love the Rams sucking!

And the oddest movie I’ve seen called a Xmas movie this year is In Bruges. I mean, I’m all in watching it every Xmas, but I don’t remember a Xmas theme.

Somehow Shane Black has made nothing but movies set during Christmas and yet Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Iron Man 3 are all ignored in these discussions (and also The Nice Guys, but it's even less prevalent in that one).

Also: I feel like no one can decide if Gremlins is a Christmas movie or Halloween movie.

Yeah Gremlins was on a few states in that list too

I'm glad I didn't watch that game live, especially the 4th quarter. I'd be out of scotch if I had.

Has to be demoralizing if you are the Rams at 11-2 and the stadium is full of the visiting 7-7 teams fans.

Why do they keep trying the LA football experiment?

Why do they keep trying the LA football experiment?

72,468 home ticket sales per game maybe?

Even with that number representing a comparatively low percentage of capacity (77%, second worst ahead of only Washington), that's still the 10th most average ticket sales per home game. The NFL does not give a sh*t how many of them are wearing the other team's jersey when they come in the door.

I guess.. they are banking on the destination being a place road teams will attract fans to go for games.. same in Vegas.. below average local turnout but enough visiting fans to make it profitable.

I think the NFL is also expecting the big LA stadium/complex to be a draw, the centerpiece of that whole Hollywood Park project, which, of course, is just 3 miles away from LAX. Definitely intended to be a place for traveling fans and businesspeople to take in a game.

That said, I still think the Rams are the only team that belongs, but you can tell what they want is for there to be a game in that stadium every week.
