Hidden Gems of Netflix's Watch Instantly

Plus the Body. Whew.

The less said about that, the better.

Nevermind. I confused "The Body" and "Hush".

To be fair, season 5 of Buffy is when Riley became a main character.

Ughhh. Riley. But without season 5, Brownypoints won't be able to discern if there is some kind of connection between Ben and Glory.

There's a connection between Ben and Glory?

The evergreen-ness of the "Ben and Glory" joke does not change the fact that Glory sucks a lot. Also there are only 4 or 5 thoroughly good episodes in all of season 5.

Ill save anyone the 'trouble' I just went through. Travelers S3 Dec 14th. I dont need to see a trailer, I'm in!

I'm in. Looks like they got an expanded budget too. I kind of wish they would show more of the future "director" controlled world.

Wait......Ben knows Glory !?

Yeah I am so ready for Travelers.

This month is so good, new Travelers and a new season of Runaways!

And Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Counterpart

(not on Netflix, though)

I'm super excited for Mrs. Maisel, and I never get excited for shows as a general rule. I re-watched the first season last week, and it's so good.

I just got into travelers the other day and am now half way through season 2. I'm really digging this one and looking forward to being able to jump right into season 3.

It might be budgetary reasons that they have not done that. Also since the future is theoretically constantly changing with each mission maybe it doesn't make sense to show the future world?

If anyone was wondering where Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, etc. have landed, it's vrv.com

I never thought about it but yeah, omg, Disney will be like, "TV-MA? Never heard of it." I really can't imagine The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina getting on there.

There do seem to be a bunch of weird shows I want to watch on Prime, but I've already got Netflix, Hulu, and VRV/crunchyroll and more let's plays and now magic the gathering stuff on youtube.

Well, my mom will sure be psyched for Travelers s3.

My theory on Hulu's policies re:expiring shows is that they don't actually want you to exclusively use their service. The cable companies have significant ownership in it and the local broadcasters would revolt but quite frankly they'd probably just die really quickly. If it was actually useful, everyone people with disposable income would cut the chord.

I think maybe I want to watch this...

[US] Happy! (2017) - A boozy ex-cop turned hitman (Detective Stabler) thinks he's losing his marbles when an imaginary flying unicorn (Patton Oswald) urges him to rescue a girl kidnapped by Santa.

8 episode series. Originally on SyFy. Greenlit for a second season. Rated 8.3 on IMDB.

It's a very well done adaptation of the comic book. Some of the scenes are lifted straight from it.

I enjoyed it but it’s definitely not for everyone. You’ll probably know whether or not you’ll like it within the first 20 minutes.

I thought it was good, but yeah, it's not one size fits all for sure!

Happy- I loved it, it was a wild ride for sure.

In the middle of watching Mowgli. It is different enough from the jungle book to be interesting. However, the story beats are the same. So far the jungle book is the better movie. The pacing, animation, and character design are better.

I would have rather watched it on the big screen.

Dumplin is a great book to movie adaptation.

The second half takes a bigger change from the jungle book. All in all a okay movie.

We just finished Dumplin’. It’s saccharine and cheesy (so I guess it’s “sweet cheddar”?) and it rugged at my heart over and over.

Happy! is like if Evil Dead snorted cocaine and lost any semblance of good taste. I loved every minute of it.

I thought Ash vs Evil Dead was like if Evil Dead snorted cocaine and lost any semblance of good taste.

Evil Dead ever had any semblance of good taste at all?

Ah yes, I've had enough of that stuffy pretentiousness of Army of Darkness.

Nope. Tree rape makes the entire series unwatchable.

My wife convinced me to watch some show called Aileen (or something like that). She's a sucker for the "true crime" style of TV docu-series. It was decent and surprisingly sympathetic. Honestly, it made me even more against the death penalty (not trying to start a political discussion).

Just started Series 3 of Grimm. Cheers to whoever enabled, there were a few. Pretty good and getting better, enjoying.

My son and I have just started watching the new She-Ra. We're half way through the second episode and it's good fun so far. Looks to be a positive show for my son to watch. I have told him he's not allowed to watch it without my being there, for no other reason than I want to watch it too!

I watched a few episodes by myself just so I got to see it all as well......

.... Yeah, highly likely this'll happen, he'll sneak a few episodes in when I'm not about am sure.
