NFL 2018: Week 13

I can't count the years that the Redskins have had a defense that only plays on 2 downs. It has been so frustrating to watch a D give up 13 yards on 3rd and 9 or 17 yards on 3rd and 15. (or a 30 yard TD on 3rd and 2)

This could have been the Bortles-est thing ever:

(It's as fake as it is funny, btw.)

THAT'S NOT FUNNY AT ALL

If this holds, the only thing I look forward to is a Stephen A. Smith v. Michael Irvin rematch on First Take.

Interesting first half.

Put Teddy in?

I can't wait for Teddy to play football again and play well so that 3/4ths of the Jaguars subreddit can finally see how stupid they are.

Saints sure aren't looking like a Super Bowl team right now, but Thursday football is always a lie.

This should be the tagline for the game every week.

The more Amari Cooper catches for Dallas, the stupider the Raiders look.

Of course, Cooper and Mack both started playing better the moment they got out of Oakland. Something I'm expecting for Derek Carr if/when he gets his chance.

I believe everyone's given up on the intelligence of the powers that be for the Raiders a while back.

Passing on the Niners' offer is looking especially stupid, as the article points out. Almost guaranteed to be a top 5 pick, and could easily be pick #1.

Niners would have been plenty happy to trade the pick even if they knew it would be #1 overall. Chicago is making the trade even more of a steal for themselves.

So...Washington's gotta be sighing in relief thanks to Kansas City.

Yeah Reuben Foster just got shoved right out of the headlines.

And Hunt also got shoved onto the exempt list.

And now the Chiefs have released him.

So which team is going to pick him up and which member of their front office is going to be asked to embarrass themselves trying to justify it?

Good for the Chiefs for standing up. If an employee lies to you multiple times and you find out, they should be fired. If Hunt had just been honest from the start it probably would have been ok for him.

I don't know, but I know where Le'Veon Bell is going next year.

That is IF you believe they had no knowledge of the video or never saw the video.. which I don't believe for a second.

Sounds like something a scummy owner in Dallas would be all about.

I'm inclined to agree with Guru. This feels like Ray Rice.

Could be. The hotel is on record saying they only gave the tape to the police and refused to give it to the NFL.

I know, let's get the guy who investigated the NFL over their knowledge of the Ray Rice video to figure out what's going on. He's not busy, right?

Glad the Chiefs cut him.

My guess is that is what he told the Chiefs he didn't come out and challenge and push her, because they cut him for lying about how the incident went down. They didn't elaborate, but it was enough to have him gone within hours of the tape coming out.

I also think the tape part is weird. The police didn't file charges. The NFL contacted the women involved, and they never made themselves available. I don't blame anyone for assuming it was less than it was by how it played out on both ends. But if the NFL had an inkling there was a tape, they sure as hell should have grabbed it much sooner. But it seems like a tape no one, including the victim, was interested in.

i will say that the tape was not nearly as bad as I thought when I saw the headlines about him brutalizing and kicking a woman. It wasn't anything like that. It wasn't good, and he was a dumbass for engaging her, but she was seriously spoiling for a fight.

The event happened 30 minutes after he kicked her out of his apartment. Her friend tried to get her to leave, but she kept going back and banging on the door. And she charged at him several times on the tape. But the fact is, he should never have stepped a foot outside his door. And he should never have laid a hand on her.

I'm glad they cut him quickly and the team can move on.

Dumbass. All you do is tell the hotel and they send security and/or cops.

Man did he screw himself.

Ray Rice had at least made it to his second contract and got a payday. He pocketed $30 million before he killed his career.

Kareem Hunt is on year 2 of a 3rd round pick rookie contract. His earnings to date are $1.7 million. His second contract would have been in the $25-40 mil guaranteed range. If he ever plays again, it will be on short term deals, he's not getting that kind of financial commitment from any team now.

Considering how TMZ seems to get these tapes over and over I would have to guess the NFL and/or the Chiefs didn’t care that much to get it or simply didn’t talk to the right people.

And let’s face it. The incident would have probably been a great deal worse if some of the individuals on the tape didn’t make efforts to de-escalate the situation. Seems like he was destined to do something far worse eventually. Maybe this will be a wake up call

Hey Lamar is on my TV. Whee!

Redzone Guy absolutely loves saying Ka'imi Fairbairn.

And TD LJ. Yes!
