I know a lot of people gave up on it, but the show's actually been pretty good. Definitely better than any of the CW DC stuff IMO.

Not amazing, but I still enjoy it.

Spoken like someone not watching Legends.

Definitely watching Legends for some reason. I'm still not that into the silliness. Better than it was, though.

Friend told me it got better so i checked out one a couple weeks ago.

No. No not really. Still a pile of poo.

S1 is well intentioned hot garbage.
S2 gets better as it goes and by the end is a delight.
S3 is bonkers. Just absolutely bonkers.

There was a season 5 and 6?

Wow. I was happy with the season 5 sendoff with no real cliffhangers for the next season (well, not really). Agents of SHIELD has always been a relatively easy watch though it really was starting to feel a bit musty. I was content with putting it to bed. It'll be interesting to see what they do with seasons 6 and 7 though I'm not in a great hurry for them to arrive.

Agents of Shield has remained very watchable, S05 was very good. The shorter order for S06 will probably be for the best too, I'm a fan of 13 episode seasons. Production must be going well if they have ordered S07 before airing S06.

Great news. The last season was fantastic. I wonder if they will keep the budget the same. The last episode looked expensive.

I'm guessing they will reinstate shield to be public good guys. Also since Daisy is in Marvel Rising I wonder if we will get characters from that on shield. I would love to see America Chavez on this show.

We're watching Legends only because of Constantine.

I like the addition of Constantine, but the idea of him dating Gary is preposterous.

Gary seems to think they were dating, but to Constantine it was clearly a one-time favor.

Look.

Gary is scarred and battle tested. Constantine would be into that. And then literally into that.

In all seriousness, Constantine being as aloof and bad ass as he is and still throwing Gary a bone (*5 minute break to laugh*) is one of the best parts of the show.

Also we really need to stop talking about how good Legends is in this thread.

Ok, I get it.

So is this both Deadpool movies distilled down to one PG-13 or just Deadpool 2?

Thanks, Fred. Now I'll never stop likening Fox to Nickelback.

My understanding is it's just a recut of Deadpool 2.

My son (12) is beside himself with joy that he will be able to see this.

Marvel releases the official timeline of the movies:

1943-1945: Captain America: The First Avengers
2010: Iron Man
2011: Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor
2012: The Avengers: Iron Man 3
2013: Thor: The Dark World
2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man
2016: Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming
2016-2017: Doctor Strange
2017: Black Panther, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War

Missing is Antman and the Wasp, as well as all TV shows.

From what I've read, the majority of the changes were modifying existing dialog with voice-overs since a lot of the child-inappropriate parts involve Deadpool while he's wearing a mask.

Thought Kevin Smith's podcast memorializing Stan Lee was nice.

"Yeah, but you're, ya know, 'Marvel' licensed by Fox."

Daredevil canceled. Dammit all Netflix! Guess you can just go ahead and prepare for the inevitable cancelation of Jessica Jones and Punisher too.

That kind of seals it that it wasn't about quality or reception. Marvel/Disney wants to everything done in-house now that they're launching their own streaming platform.
I hope if they do continue anything they keep the cast the same. It's a lot harder to get people to accept different actors for main characters than it is to switch out writers (sorry Terrence Howard, supporting cast doesn't get the same loyalty)

Agreed. The language in this announcement is even clearer that the characters will probably be in other projects than what they already said with Danny Rand and Luke Cage:

While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.

Combine that with the Russo's saying recently that they'd tried to get some of the TV characters involved in Avengers 4, but couldn't due to difficulty maintaining continuity (and I suspect scheduling), that either these guys show up in the next phase of the MCU, or on Disney+.

That's pretty interesting, got a link?

Allegedly, this is being driven by Netflix, not by Disney/Marvel. Disney is happy to let Netflix keep the shows going, but Netflix is resentful of Disney starting up what they see as a rival platform and are terminating all the projects in retaliation.

Saw it somewhere else I think, too. Probably in my Google news feed?

Sucks, but not surprising. Having worked for a company that had a contract with Marvel just before Disney bought them-- the moment Disney took over, they basically severed ties mid-contract. If Disney doesn't want to do something, or they don't want to honor a contract in light of something more beneficial to themselves, they'll nuke those bridges, contractual obligations be damned.

Hard to believe that. Not about Netflix being resentful against Disney's new streaming service, but about being ok with Netflix Keeping the shows. I mean... It's Disney.

I'm sure it's contractional for some long period. After all, Netflix was involved in production, and probably paid for it.

No surprise here. Disney wants all their content under their streaming service and I don't believe Netflix didn't see this coming. Hopefully Disney just brings it over without changing much.

I can believe it. I think it's not unlikely that Disney was happy to continue the partnership, but were also happily increasing the licensing cost and that's what drove Netflix to cancel it (if they were actually the ones that made that decision). Disney's done a similar thing before with companies that had been licensed to make Marvel games when Marvel was independent.
