[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

I agree with Malor on Krispy Kreme. Best donuts I have come from Graeters, a local ice cream chain in Cincinnati.

I can't think of anything more 2018 than that WH accidentally turning Sesame Street into Handmaid's Tale.

wait till 2019, when it becomes game of thrones

Everyone will be saying Merry Christmas again, or they end up on a spike.

I hope my district wins the MAGA Games in 2020.

Make Azteca Great Again?

I’ve never tried a Graeter’s donut. Have one just down the street!

Are you in Cincinnati? Sadly only the local corporate stores in Cinci have baked goods. The franchises like in Columbus do not.

Well, at least then the obsession with Ivanka can be realized.

even GoT didn't go that far.

We still have a whole season left to go!

For MN doughnuts South of the river I recommend puffy cream doughnuts in Eagan. So choice but also I should support doughnut star.

I grew up in Wisconsin which has a very high German, Polish and Scandinavian population, and the bakeries were out of this world.

Watching everyone argue Tim Horton vs Dunkin vs Krispy Kreme is kind of like "which hamburger is better, McDonald's or Wendy's?" while I'm over here eating a proper gigantic juicy pub burger.

Real donuts is a thing I miss here in the triangle. We have a couple of places doing fancy hipster donuts loaded with junk that are good in their own way, but I miss the classics, properly done.

I dunno which triangle you're referring to, but if it the NC one, there is a place called Gugelhupf in Durham that is worth checking out. German bakery/cafe run by a German family.

There are plenty of good independent donut places around, same as burgers, but it doesn't make very good conversation to debate in this thread as there is no basis for shared experience like there is with the national brands. For example I could say if you are in the north Atlanta suburbs that Sweet Apple Donuts are great and their tofu donut is actually surprisingly good. But that means nothing to most of the people reading this that don't live in Atlanta and will never try it...

BTW Wendy's over McDonalds, 100%.

Yeah, I'm south of Raleigh so Durham is close to an hour drive here, so we don't usually make it up that way, but someday maybe I'll have a chance to check it out. There's also a German bakery that is always at the Raleigh farmer's market that now has a brick and mortar store in Cary, and they're awesome (but no donuts).

Yeah, it was more that I am lamenting that there isn't really anything like I had growing up around here; there's either dunkin/krispy kreme "mass market" donuts (which of course are a base level of sugary goodness but all pretty comparable), or Voodoo Donuts-style stuff, and nothing inbetween.

How dare you impugn the relative merits of North Seattle Family Donut's Cruller! Spatula-duel at dawn, sir!

I might be misreading it but... do those blue numbers look smaller? By, like, a lot? :Like a ridiculous amount.

I don't see color!
