What are you playing this weekend?

After buying Civ 3, 4, 5, and 6 I'm gonna try and actually play one of them.

Following quill18's Beginner's walkthrough on Youtube for Civ6.

Wait till you try out 4....

No reason to move on from FH3 until you're ready, as there is not a huge multiplayer crowd for FH4, although it could use one. FH3 is a hell of a game, and just as it expanded on some of the stuff from FH2, FH4 expands on FH3 in really great ways. It's a great series that has continued to get better.

I should be playing RDR2, Shadow of the Tomb raider, or AC: Odyssey. Hell, Madden 19 and NBA Live 19 are both strong fun games. But every time I sit down, I end up going right back into FH4.

I think I'm nearing the end of Yakuza Kiwami, which I'm enjoying a lot, although the main plot isn't as intriguing as Zero. In a way that helps, because I'm taking more time to soak in the many distractions around town.

After that, I have both

ready to go!

(AC:Origins and Dragon Quest XI)

Finally getting around to trying Hitman 2 from one of the earlier Humble Monthly bundles.

It's pretty interesting! I haven't played a Hitman game before, so I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't expect so much focus on simply watching and listening. The levels all feel like complete little worlds, with interesting little...skits(?) played out all around you.

At first I was getting frustrated with all the waiting, and the trial and error, but I'm starting to realize that's what makes the game special. It's utterly unique in that regard. It's stealth in broad sight, it's a playground full of silly scripted kills.

In a weird way, it reminds me of a grocery store I'd visit with my parents as a child. They had a bunch of animatronic cows/horses/ducks etc. which you could interact with by pressing a big round button. Going to each scene one-by-one and watching what happens when you pressed "play". It's the same here, only with guns and cyanide. Lovely.

Fallout 4, now deep into Far Harbor. It's great, just like the main game.

Who the hell needs Fallout 76? If I wanted to I could play this game for another 100 hours and it would be all right. But I'm approaching Fallout burnout, and I just want to see this game to the end.

I've been trying to unlock the 4th floor in Slay the Spire. After all these hours I still can't regularly beat the bosses.

I've also finally been trying out various board game ports on Steam - Splendor, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Ascension. Also playing the prelude in Armello.

I was going to see if I can get into Stellaris because I bounced off of it at release, but I'm going to wait until the update.

Well, Hitman 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are locks. Red Dead is s glacial game if you want to speed through missions.

3030 deathwar (such a charming little game)

Ain't it just? I recently returned to it and am having the greatest time. I'm actually getting decent at combat too.

This week Euro Truck Simulator 2 takes us to Russia, Estonia, Finland... cold places basically. I'll also be playing the completely awesome Beat Saber.

Playing Resist Checking in at Work since I gave myself a day off (failed already). Outside of that I’ve got Soul Calibur 6 on the brain. Want to make more progress in Libra of Souls mode. There’s some MTG Arena streaming in my future as well and Path of Exile.

More Red Dead Redemption 2. Also, due to a mishap, I received a Christmas present, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, early. So I might dip into that as well.

Some but probably not all... Carrying on with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Oxenfree. Finally got around to downloading Darkest Dungeon and DLC onto the PS4, along with recent sale purchase Hollow Knight, so could give those a run out.

More Hollow Knight for me as well. I'm really, really liking it!

Besides X4 for the blog, I forsee a lot of Forza Horizon 3 and 3030 Deathwar Redux.

I will beat Undertale (PC, Pacifist ending) this weekend. And then it's back to Dragon Quest VII (3DS) full time.

Two weeks later, and I'm still playing Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

I might make a start on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well. I picked it up on sale recently and haven't tried it yet.

Well, I'll be rather busy training and spending time socially, so I'll only be gaming during commutes. Persona 4 Golden is the chosen one, in this case.

I'm playing a bunch of games, but most importantly: I'm starting Darksiders for the return of SallyNasty's Game Club!

That's a marvelous pic of Darksiders! Time to put that bad boy back on the Steam holiday wishlist

I’ve been doing the single player challenges in Splendor and they’re pretty fun. I’ve almost finished them but got hung up on one of the last ones. Can’t figure out how to do it for the life of me. I hate bailing, but I think I’m going to have to for my sanity.

Not sure what’s up next.- maybe continue a bit in Mario Odyssey.

Continuation of last week, where I'm now playing Golf Story where I'm about halfway through it, as well as Pokemon: Omega Ruby in a run where I only can catch the first monster I see on each route. So like a third of a nuzlock run. It really hasn't hindered my team outside of the first few hours.

I also picked up BoxBoy from a recent sale on the 3ds, and I pick it up occasionally to do a world then put it down for something else, so that may pop in.

After yesterday's christmas party I can feel a lazy afternoon coming on with:

(Dragon Quest XI)

and then, I want to get back into:

Is that a giant cat, or is that just a weird mosaic of images?

(hoping it's the former)

Dragon Quest XI and Hollow Knight, here!

Hitman 2, because Sean Bean must die.

I don't know, that's why I want to get back to it!

Spoiler:

Wreckfest
Witcher 2

I already finished up Oxenfree for the adventure game club. I'll spend the rest of the weekend playing some Ubisoft games, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Assassin's Creed: Origins. I should dip my toes back into Red Dead Redemption 2 as well.

Ahh dammit: stupid Enter The Breach. I was planning on Red Dead but no. Now I have the vex to kill and save the future from my own dumb time traveling self. I hope Tom Shane and Company can do it.

Also Fred Meyer as my gunner too.

Red Dead 2 Online and main story, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, as much as my 6-day old baby allows (he's been pretty generous so far, we completed a few Red Dead Online missions with bottles between 530 and 630 this morning).
