Yes, I pronounced 'Lumines' wrong. *sigh*

Also my handle.

I played Rage for the first time this year.

It's ok. Just ok.

My trilogy:

1.) Thief: The Dark Project
2.) Baldur's Gate 2
3.) Fallout New Vegas?

Hey, if Allen can do it, so can I.

Ok, now I need a guide for that.

00:05:09 Tetris Effect
00:14:00 HellSign
00:17:30 Battlefield V
00:29:30 Party Hard 2
00:35:45 Fallout 76
00:44:00 The Little Touches in Games
01:06:16 Your Emails

I think maybe in lieu of a spoiler section for RDR2, you all should just do an hour about talking about how you all lost your horses.

It's "eh-leh-EE-mah". Or E for short, or just Emily if the handle too complex.
(don't sweat it, I'm just poking fun )

I'm with Allen - Fallout NV totally counts as a game #3 (or maybe a 3A anyway).

Hey, you read my email! If you're ever uncertain whether you've went on too long in an email, have someone read it aloud on a podcast. It just kept going!

Is it just me or was this a particularly funny episode? The back and forth among the crew was top notch!

Fallout New Vegas is the Majoras Mask of Fallout: they took assets from an amazing game, made it demonstrably worse in almost every conceivable way, and sold it as a new game.

My trilogy;

Batman Arkham Asylum
Mercenaries 2
Fallout 3

The past couple of episodes have been exquisite in terms of light fun. I like it when the crew has some games in common to talk about, even if it is a Red Dead game.

And with that collection of hot takes, I’ll sign off...

I liked Fallout 3 in general, but I still haven't forgiven them for the ending, or for making me install GFWL.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fallout New Vegas, but maybe that's because I didn't play it until quite some time after release.

I'm just here for the complete breakdown of social order as everyone invents their own rules for the trilogy question.

In that spirit, I will argue that Harebrained Battletech is the third entry in a trilogy that began with the two Crescent Hawks games, leaving me with:

Chrono Trigger
Crusader Kings II
Battletech (3)

My trilogy:
Master of Orion
Mass Effect 2
Witcher 3

The last two were never in doubt, but there were a ton of strong candidates for #1. Assassin's Creed and the first Uncharted were the other strong contenders.

How long was your play time of New Vegas? I just want to make sure it was more than one hour because this is a pretty harsh criticism of the game.

That is a very astute question, and it gladdens my cold, irradiated heart that someone thought to ask.

I finished the main story and a number of the side quests. Aside from the way New Vegas stifles best part of a Fallout experience (exploration) by putting deathclaws and swarms of those obnoxious rad-wasps anywhere that isn’t a major road, I found the story to be uniquely unrewarding because

Spoiler:

though I saved the wastelands from three different tyrants, there wasn’t a single person worth saving it for. There was no quirky tinkerer to chat up, no funny radio DJs, no charmingly self deprecating ghoul, no sentient trees with dissociative disorder. New Vegas was just garbage people, stem to stern.

Long story short: I got to the end and wondered why I bothered in a way that I didn’t in Fallout 3

Recently started listening to the podcast and I'm enjoying it so far, but one comment rubbed me the wrong way. When discussing the shutting down of other small community podcasts one of the hosts admitted their inner monologue was something akin to "yes! another one bites the dust".
I understand celebrating how long GWJ has been around, but do we really need to kick others when they're down? Felt like it was in poor taste.

All in good fun, calmo. I think I mentioned “We Have Concerns” which good friend Jeff Cannata co-hosted. They were also bigger than GWJ by a mile, so wasn’t really punching down. Also gleefully pointing out my smallness, so guilty as charged.
