Path of Exile catch-all

Oh I've got no problem deleting the maps. I could be doing T16's easily right now. I just can't get any maps to drop. I'm stuck around 80 maps completed. A few 10's 11's and 12's completed. Had 25 maps over T10, alched and corrupted and I'm down to nothing over a T8. I'm all dressed up with no place to go. Some evenings I buy 1 or 2 maps to run, but it's such a pain in the ass to message people over and over. Tried buying in bulk offering well over market value and not one bite. For some reason it's not happening and when it's work it isn't fun.

I haven't had any login issues, but I also noticed that I'm not getting maps over T8 dropping.

No login issues here.

What build are you running?

I'm running a Starforge cyclone build. 5.3K life, more damage than I'll ever need and tons of leech. Ascendant. Great fun and very fast. You need to dodge the one shot kills though. I've never had trouble sustaining maps before, but this league I can run T7-8-9 maps for a long while and get nothing but white maps in return. Delves are producing some maps, but not enough to keep up. I can't wait to get into the T13+ maps. This build makes my RF build from last league look like a turtle. I'm curious to see if it's as strong as the Ancestral Warchief build from 2 league ago...that one was a beast.

What's the Starforge going for these days? I keep wanting to run one but always get scared off by the price

Usually by this time in the league it's not the item itself that costs, but the number of linked sockets. Probably looking at 2-3 EX for a cheap 6 link. OTOH, you could get a good one ( >700 dps) with few links and make a 5 link out of it without breaking the bank (hopefully).

The build I'm using has a 6 linked armor for cyclone but the Starforge is only 5 linked. I've got Vaal Double Strike and Vaal Ancestral Warchief socketed in there with 3 damage supports. Whenever I come to a boss I just pop the Vaal skills and everything goes poof. Vaal Double Strike feels like cheating....I can't imagine it with a full 6 link supporting it.

You can easily five-link any item with The Jeweller's Touch prophecy, so if you're low on currency and a 5link is good enough that's the best course of action so you can play and when you acquire more currency you can buy another item and try to six-link it on the side without the risk of having an unusable weapon/armour.

Yea i meant 6 links. Last i checked (2-3 leagues ago) it was 15ex+ It's sitting between 4-9ex now.

PoE rated for PS4 in Taiwan. Sounds like the PS4 version might finally be released. Woot!

Now where's my Switch version?

That’s good news - it’s insane to me that this hasn’t been released for PS4 yet, I love it over on Xbox!

Just got my off color six link Bronn's Lilth for a character. Too bad the character is in standard and the item was cheaper in Delve. Oh well, I will play with it next month.

What I've worked towards in Delve. It's not been a league I've played as hard as some previous ones by far as my new job has been taking a lot more time and energy and I've been taking a lot of Sundays out to visit family so this is quite a great build in my opinion because I feel I've got a really great strong toon going here without my maximum effort (though it's still quite valuable in terms of gear). Delve league crafting with fossils is how I personally crafted the bow, quiver and amulet for this character.

Video is of a monster level 82 delve run ending at a Harbinger boss battle (hidden path). Chose that cause it was there tonight is a really fun and cool battle.

I got pretty into Delve as well, not as much as 3.0 but still really enjoyed it. Did a Dominating Blow character that was a lot of fun. Gear power level seems really nutty right now, Abyss jewels are nuts and the possibilities with Shaper/Elder item fossil crafting is pretty crazy too. I put less time and currency into this character and have far better gear than anything I really ever had before. Currency feels really easy to obtain without having to trade as much as well. Ended up burning out grinding maps, unfortunate they haven't made the process of filling the atlas more enjoyable, feels actually a bit worse now that you have to chase Elder for memory fragments. Even more frustrating is since you have to do more specific maps for Shaper/Elder influence that leads to having to buy more maps from players. The currency cost is trivial but the time cost is annoying. I just feel like the Atlas has too many maps for each tier. I got an Elder fight pretty easily and did it (just yellow) with no issue but it feels much more time consuming to get to Shaper than 3.0

Delves are fun but it feels really momentum breaking to have to constantly go get sulphite.

New league and expansion announced:

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go next on the skill tree as a Witch Necromancer? I'm in the teens level-wise and hit up all the nearby Minion nodes right away. Already feel like those have dried up so I've branched out into Energy regen now.

I'll come back with a screen shot of my passives screen if that helps.

Pretty much all Necro builds have the same tree and aim for the same nodes with small exceptions so just head over to the minion notables that apply to the minions you have or provide more information on what your build looks like and which skills you are using.

OK, this is a dumb question: What do you do with extra gems? Sell them? Are there any special vendor recipes regarding gems?

With the end of the last league, I have been left to ponder the pile of junk that is my standard stash. I have been selling most everything but I have no idea what to do with my 2 pages (of each color) of gems. 20 Lacerates don't seem real useful.

For anyone else who was waiting for this to release on PS4, apparently it's been delayed until February 2019.

If the gems have no quality and no levels you throw them away or level them, your choice.

Patch notes for 3.5 are up https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/vi...

I've played this game when it was just out.
Tempted to dive back into it. But feel disconnected
with my progress and the reset of abilities and all.

So my question is, dive back in with current character.
And use my headstart in the game basically. Pretty sure
I can get back into the swing of things.
Or start all over again, with as benefit...what?

Damn! Oh well. Still coming, I'm good with that.

Sparhawk, starting over is normal. The main reason to do it is to try a different build. Starting from scratch lets you adapt to and internalize the play style you've chosen via traits and skills; practice, essentially. On the other hand, if you want to basically rebuild the character you had before, you can do that with the reset, and just pick up where you left off.

To my way of thinking, there should never be a consideration in this game that starting over is a bad thing. Running one character per build is normal, the way the game is designed. It's not designed for the inverse, multiple builds per character, like D3. For people who think that is the way the game "should" work, PoE will be very frustrating. And we've seen that feedback here.

So... If you want to rebuild your character, lay it out again and go from your existing point. If you want a new build, start a new character. That's my advice.

Take a look here before getting rid of them. There's many uses for them with vendor recipes.

Oh wow, yeah thanks. I feel really dumb for not seeing that before, just in general.

Their servers are getting overwhelmed for this league.

They've even instituted queues. I got in briefly but took too long to figure out a name for my new toon and got kicked. I've been unable to log back in for 20 minutes or so now.

I have not even tried yet. Looks like a good season, though.

They've been under constant DDOS attacks as well. I love the league so far.
