NCAA College Football 2018-19: Official Thread

Upset alert from Columbus, OH!!!

Ags are doing a nice job against the c*cks, 13-0 at the half.

LSU is also blanking Georgia! Sorry, ferret.

Pitt is leading undefeated Notre Dame! Sorry not sorry, firesloth!

Grats on the win Fed.

I saw a stat that Georgia is the fifth youngest team in the country, recently. It showed today.

Something in the air today.

The SEC is weird this year for sure. Honestly, college football is delightfully unpredictable this year, period.

I didn't see that LSU domination coming, though. They're such a dangerous, unpredictable team.

I didn't think that would happen after LSU lost to Florida last week but here we are. More importantly though, Tennessee ended their 11 game conference losing streak and upset Auburn on the road. I'm gonna just enjoy the hell out of the feeling because The Tide rolls into Knoxville next week and that's one team from Alabama we aren't beating.

Hey, they pulled it out in the end. Seems like every game against Pitt is closer than it has any reason to be with ND, who couldn’t survive a Pitt upset like Clemson two years ago.

Only 4 of Ian Book’s 32 passes hit the ground...unfortunately 2 of the ones that didn’t were INTs, but whatever.

Frustrating game to watch, good one to win. And who knew there were teams outside of the Big 10 who still used fullbacks regularly??

Cal sucks. period. The long winter continues.

Week 8!

Michigan-Michigan State at noon
Alabama-Tennessee at 3:30
*** Clemson-N.C. State at 3:30 ***
Miss State-LSU at 7

... and not much else. I mean, the ABC national prime-time is Ohio State and Purdue, FFS.

Meanwhile, I'm all in on Minnesota, who's on the road against the flagship school of the worst state in all of human history. (I won't type the name. Let's just say the school's nickname has something to do with corn.) Anyway, N------a will be looking ahead to next week's rivalry game against ...

... checks notes ... Bethune-Cookman.

And Minnesota should be fine because ... checks notes again ... one of its running backs is out of jail.

I think I'm going to watch Clemson-State (it'll be a good game; trust me) and go to bed early (like at 7).

The Fighting Jeff Brohms!

Hoping for Purdue to keep winning so we can steal their coach and he can come back home.

Oregon @ Washington St. should be a good one. I'm nervous about the Ducks' young defensive backfield keeping the Cougs pass attack in check though.

I probably should have included it but I know so little about West Coast football (except for Cal; GO BEARS) that I don't normally list those games.

Oregon getting shelled on the Paloose. Ohio State losing at half vs Purdue.

Night chaos!

Cal wins its first conference road game in 3 years! We are now solidly #11 in the Pac-12. Suck it Oregon State!

Ahem.

Ready to hire him now.

Purdue Tyler is a better person than me because if you put a mic in front of my face when my team is throwing a whole bank vault on top of the #2 team in the nation I'm going to make the FCC some money

O ... H.... ..... Oh no... lol

*evil laughter*

I've been soloing the kiddos all weekend so I didn't watch a moment of football yesterday, but I was pleased with these upsets!

Well, Clemson-NC State turned out to be a dud. I'm going to pencil Clemson into the playoffs right now.

And of course I jinxed Purdue-Ohio State, which turned out to be more than watchable (unless of course you're an Ohio State fan, har)

Fresno State stomped New Mexico and has moved up in "Others Receiving Votes" territory!

That's right, the battle for California supremacy in college football is currently a three horse race between Stanford, San Diego State, and Fresno State.

As a Michigan fan, that was the best Saturday of football in quite a while.

Week 9!

Florida-Georgia is your 3:30 CBS game (and Iowa-Penn State is on ABC so you can channel-flip)

Your night games are Notre Dame-Navy (eh) and Texas-Okla State (meh)

In other words Week 9 is the Cocktail Party and a bunch of dive bars that serve only Busch Light and Keystone.

I'm holding out till November, which is always a great month for college football.

Louisville vs Wake Forest for last place in the ACC.

One of these teams has to get a conference win tomorrow. The other probably won't at all this season.

Fire Petrino!

Fortunately, Clemson's expected demolition of FSU is a noon kick. Better to get that out of the way early and move on with the day.

Florida - UGA is huge for the East, although Kentucky could get in the mix if they keep winning. They have Mizzou this weekend. They have, of course, already beaten Florida. UGA has a loss to LSU which does count for winning the East.

Gonna try to catch that one on what should be a busy day of family stuff, including carving pumpkins.

It's official. Louisville is the worst ACC team this year.

Goodbye Bobby

Wow, Kentucky comes back to beat Mizzou on the last play of the game!

Good luck, Carl!

Holy carp, Kansas beat TCU!

Pretty damn questionable PI to get that last play.

And their coach benching Snell the 2nd half, it's baffling they were able to score. Mizzou sucks.
