Modded Minecraft Multiplayer Server

I've updated World of Dragons to the current latest version available in the Twitch client: 12.8.120.

Arovin what was the name of the mod you mentioned? I remember Steppingstone but that isn't it.

Waystones, they allow you to make travel markers you can teleport to. I think they need an emerald and 4 ender pearls to make one.

At this time I'd like to issue a travel advisory.

What did you do.

Merphle, I got kicked while fighting a black dragon to the south. When I tried to get back on, I get a bad entity error. Now the server is unavailable.

I restarted the server. I can’t do anything else until I get home from work; hopefully a restart is sufficient.

Doesn't look good. I still can't connect, or even see the server. Nor the webmap.

I found the source of the lag. Everyone can reclaim and reload their chunks.

Do tell?

It was the Refined Storage Disk Manipulator. When I used it to dump things into the drawer system, it dropped FPS to 7 and caused a few crashes. I switched to using an exporter.

I just updated the World of Dragons server to version 13.0.122, so please update your client accordingly. Note that this is NOT the latest version currently available in Twitch, so you'll need to go into the Versions list to pick the exact correct version, don't just update to latest.

Merphle, can you disable the mobile light options server-side? I turned off everything I could turn off and I still generate light.

I headed over to nearby snow plateau to see what new mobs were there. Boy, did I ever find out. Selkies. Horrible archer things that aren't undead and spawn in packs during the day. They've got a backstab melee AI too.

I headed over to VA's to see if he has the same problem. He does.

VA, I set up some automated crossbow turrets in the center of your town, near the portal. They're strong enough to kill the Selkies in a few shots and tough enough not to die in the process. They also heal over time.
They don't cover the whole village, but they'll give you a place to fall back to. They automatically reload from the dispenser below them. They'll need a top-up with arrows from time to time, but otherwise they're pretty low maintenance.

You village is going to need better defenses. Walls and high-level guards and crossbow turrets. It actually sounds really fun to me. Maybe we can get online together at some point and (re)secure your home?

No, but I might update to the latest version of the pack today, which removes that horrible mod.

Edit: Done. Sorry for the back-to-back updates, folks, but we're on 13.1.123 now.

Next time we are online together we can do that for sure! My efforts at torching up the place only sort of stopped the anime girl hoard from attacking

I just applied one more World of Dragons update, to 13.2.124. Please update your client.

How does the game handle items from a mod that gets removed from the pack?

It should just remove them from the world.

** Squelched. **

Who's a good little dragon? You are!

Awwwwww!

I hope you’re castletraining it.

We have the 16 hearts needed for the quest, Merphle. I obviously chose emerald. I also have a bronze egg, if you want to choose red or gray.

Hey folks. I have a server question. I set up a StoneBlock server for my son and I to play on. It has been going well but I rebooted it yesterday to do some updates and for some reason my spawn chunk got rolled back to where it was last week.

At first I thought it was the update but I had made a copy of the server folder before doing the update and it does the same thing. And every time I reboot the server it brings my spawn chunk back to that same spot.

Any ideas? Or thoughts?

I haven’t played with StoneBlock yet. Does it officially support multiplayer? Is it like most skyblock packs that give each player an island (or cave, in this case) at +/- 1000 x and z from spawn, and actual spawn is reserved just for a player spawning in for the first time? Did you start the world in single player and migrate it to multiplayer?

Maybe it simply didn’t save correctly? Do you have older backups you could try?

Yes and yes. I am at -1000,-1000

I did start in single and then copied the world to my server.

I am assuming that. But it is on going. I have changed spawn and then shutdown the server correctly and then restarted it and it goes back every time. I also tried a few of the backups from the day before and every one put that chunk back to the same place.

I'm not sure what to try next.

Maybe try changing B:spawnProtection from true to false in voidislandcontrol.cfg?

I just set up a StoneBlock server on port 25567 (world created in SMP) to test out spawn chunk reset behavior.

Edit: Even with B:spawnProtection set to true, I was able to make (trivial) changes to the spawn area, restart the server, and the changes were still there.

Can I send you my world and you try it on the server? And see if changes stick?

Sure thing, Mono.

He'p me, please:

I decided to conquer a water temple, and the guardians took all my stuff and have me a little buffaloed atm. If you feel like it, you could help me defeat the buggers and get my stuff back. If you don't, NP; only do this if it sounds like fun. I know I can ultimately be victorious on my own, even if I have to make 24 stacks of gravel and drop it down, or make Draconic armor, or whatever.

I'm a little baffled by Astral Sorcery atm too. I made a Reddit post defining the situation: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeas...

I'd accept help from you self-described "power users" on the other server if it were forthcoming.
