Not quite as dumb... they got Bridgewater.

I would have greatly preferred if he had gone to Jacksonville.

I got the only player I cared about... $wag 2019 top 10 fantasy QB guaranteed.

Yeah, I'm going to regret not picking him up again. He'd still be on my roster if our roster limits weren't so low (for Dynasty).

I love how your roster has only 2 QBs and 0 team defenses.

The latter of which I assume was done because you grabbed players to stash on IR and can pick up the team defense anytime to fill the now-open roster slot, clever boy.

I know not of what you speak.

Dammit, draft order was just randomly generated for Pro. I spent quite a bit of time today marking up a cheat sheet with different targets at what I thought was going to be my 1.1 pick. Back to the drawing board!

Yeah, sorry about that. I realized that I had not actually hit the button after getting everyone in the league.

I think next year, I am going to slide the entire registration window back 2 weeks. It's too tight between the end of registration and actually getting everyone set up, especially when we have trouble actually getting each league to a full 12.

Hey guys, I think I am not going to be able to make there draft tonight. A lot of stuff came up, and I will be on the road driving my wife to Jefferson City for a date with the Supreme Court tomorrow morning.

I asked Legion in a PM if it was possible to push it back 24 hours, if the Gonzo one is not ready to go.

I have the #2 pick, so I can definitely make that one. But it is going to be tough to draft while driving. My wife has offered to drive, but I want to avoid any chaos, as she is already nervous and stressed. She was supposed to come home,e at 3pm to head out, and it looks like we won't get on the road until 7pm, maybe. And her being ready and not stressed is more important than having her try to accommodate a fantasy football draft.

But if it has to go tonight, I will make do.

Unfortunately, the times that everyone marked as being able to make were very narrow, basically they're the times that we have each draft scheduled at. Pushing the draft would put someone else out.

Just FYI, the draft room works on mobile phone web browsers, so if you have a phone with you, you absolutely can get into the room and make selections.

Yeah, I kinda assumed it was too big an ask, but I figured a Hail Mary from the 5 was worth it.

I’ve messed with my draft board, so it should be okay. I may try to jump on and draft, but it turns out my wife is reading briefs to prepare while I drive.

Gonzo players, please go to the Gonzo league thread. The rules have been drawn.

iaintgotnopants please check your PMs

I am going to fall foul of the non-AFC player thing a bunch in the draft as I only really know the AFC East teams so I'll be constantly referencing which teams are in which conference!

I assume invalid draft picks just have to rot on your bench / get traded to waivers.

I assume Gonzo rules will change throughout the season?

EDIT: only just saw there is an entire Gonzo thread!

If you draft an AFC player, I will undo the pick and you will get to try again.

These are the rules for the season. Rules changing during the season would probably kill me, although that's an idea we may explore and discuss after we survive one year.

I heard a pretty cool league variant called Vampire yesterday.

Ten team league. Nine owners draft. The tenth, the Vampire, builds their team from what’s left. During the season, the nine cannot sign FA’s, but the Vampire can add as often as they want. If the Vampire beats someone during the season, they get to swap the starting players at one position with the team they beat.

Not suggesting this for Gonzo, just thought it sounded cool.

Some variant of this would absolutely be fair game for a Tier I Gonzo rule mod.

In the spirit of the league, call it The Count (ah ah ah ah!).

Jayhawker - I heard the Vampire league the other day as well. Interesting concept.

I don't want to hijack this thread but this idea has stuck in my brain - very cool!

I would imagine the 9 teams have no bench? Or if they do, it makes it even more difficult for the Vampire (why that name? More like a scavenger of the scraps... - the Raccoon??)

Why the trade on the win? If the Vampire wins, they are already good, so why make them even better?
On other hand, if you permit a trade on a loss, then too easy for Vampire?

Overall, this is like a 1 player league (multi-player solitaire/fantasy Euro-football?). An extreme version of this would be to have 10 leagues, where a different manager is the Vampire in each league and see who is the most successful Vampire. Sounds daunting to organize, but each team would only need to prepare one ranked listed of players and then copy them from league to league and then each league could auto-draft. Actually (without digging into the league management capabilities of espn or fleaflicker or mfl...), to do this at all, you may need to have a draft in one league (of 9 teams) and then manually import those 9 rosters into a separate league (with all 10 teams). Then release the 10th team to wreak its havoc.

The idea is that the Vampire is sucking the blood of his victims, which makes him stronger, which is why the Vampire gets a piece of his victim.

And yeah, the other teams get full rosters, and play as normal, other than they can't add to their roster, other than maybe a trade.

And I am way too much of a newbie to consider organizing this, as I really don't know what is possible with current various software.

Vampire would definitely be one of those rules that requires manual enforcement, but it wouldn't be too onerous to manage. There's a reason that I broke the rules into tiers, to ensure the craziest and most enforcement-intensive rules can't stack up to the point of making the whole thing unmanageable. This is a textbook example of a Tier I rule, something that fundamentally changes the core game.

Jimmy Garoppolo is overrated, all current Jimmy G owners should offer him to me for trade immediately.

Ouch, the waiver wire is like half of the fun for me.

So, I signed up for Kolb, but I haven't sent moneys anywhere yet. Where does the money go?

That reminds me, I didn’t send money in, either.

Legion hasn't requested any money yet (I believe)

Correct, I need to PM you all details still. Coming up shortly.

I do want to mention my goal of increasing Legion's losses in a season is on to a heck of a start this year

How did I not find someone else to replace you this year?
