This is the Damian Lewis monologue Shawn was talking about.
This is Shakespeare the way it was meant to be done.

Hey folks. Amanda mentioned there’s some echos in the audio track this week. Jonathan is right in the middle of bar exams and I’m on the road so we’re gonna have to ride this one out a bit. Sorry if it bugs you!

The echoes didn't bother me too much. I'm an hour in and they ended some time back.

Serendipitously I was clearing out boxes in my garage recently and came across my Myth and Monkey Island game boxes (the only two I kept.) Out of interest I looked in the Monkey Island box and discovered the 'Dial-A-Pirate' wheel that I'd completely forgotten about.

On the contrary, Corey’s “Oh!” around 33:30 belongs in a song.

I'll take it.

I'm shocked, shocked, that with Lara on and Uncharted getting referenced almost a half dozen times that no one brought up the Nathan Fillion fan film.

Yeah, well. I refrained from bringing it up because I really didn't like it and didn't want to harsh anybody else's vibe.

Then again, I broke up with Uncharted a long time ago. Any words from me on the subject are inherently going to sound like those of a bitter ex.

Man, you two had such a good run.

I’m finding Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze to be a good game to play when I’m (less now) tired after work. Go right. Go right. Keep going right. Is a good level of complexity for me right now.

So either Shawn only played like, the 5 tutorial games of MtG: Arena, or he's actually been playing against players but never noticed. Which is entirely possible; the whole process is pretty smooth (unless it breaks, because it's a beta beta and not a marketing preview).

I just want to take a minute to echo all of Corey's praise for Hollow Knight. I am also right around 40 hours in now, and I have just been utterly floored by the presentation, the breadth, the depth, and just about everything else. Every time I think I'm close to exploring everything, I find something new. That has been happening for 20 hours now.

I'm waiting until I finish to pass final judgement, but this might end up being the metroidvania to dethrone Castlevania: SotN as my favorite ever. I cannot believe it launched at $15.

Also, thanks for the heads up that Battleheart 2 is out. The first was great.

Hollow Knight was the best game released in 2017 that not enough people played. Team Cherry has done a fantastic job supporting it.

The lore, characters, art, and the music....oh my gosh the music. The Greenpath and White Palace themes are still on heavy rotation during my drives. I found myself delving into the backstory of Hallownests tragic kingdom and its denizens for days after "beating" the game.

The gameplay is easy enough to grasp yet gets fiendishly difficult as you progress and there is a massive amount of environmental storytelling for observant players.

The hidden depth of that game is unreal and I'm so happy to see it finally getting the coverage it deserves since coming to Switch.

It's simply a masterpiece...endearing flaws (finding the map maker) and all.

I blame you guys for that Oreo craving I've had for the past few days.

I got interested in Pillars after this review. Is it worthwhile to play Pillars I or should I dive straight into Pillars II?
Thanks

The Pillars 2 story leans pretty hard on world building from the first, I’d say play the first one.
