Uhhhh...

Still don’t know why the Browns new uniforms are not on here!?

They were only ranking NFL uniforms.

The best-ever all-time uniforms? Carolina's black on black:

For sure, I just found it amusing. Especially the part regarding the MILF of the year award

Her work in Bra Busters 4 really elevated the franchise to new heights. People weren't sure there was still a story to tell after the initial trilogy, but the busting in that one made the bras in the first 3 look intact by comparison.

Ravens are practicing plays where two QBs touch the ball on the same play.

I know they have Lamar Jackson now... but where are they going to get another QB?

Wowza. Gurley getting paid! And guaranteed at that!

It just hit me how much different the pay scales are between the NFL and NBA. Kevin Love's 4-year extension is double Gurley's. I realize that NFL rosters are around 4.5 times bigger and the NBA plays about 5 times the number of games in a season but it still surprised me. I assume the NFL has quite a bit more money than the NBA and Love isn't guaranteed to have pudding for brains when he's done whereas Gurley is.

And Gurley's contract is only worth the guaranteed money. The rest of it you might as well roll up in a joint.

And the NFL cap is like $175 million where the NBA is $100 million. Just comes down to the number of players on the team. And the NBA has ways to exceed the cap if resigning your own players.

Looking forward to him retiring from the Pats and spending his final few years at a 49er.

Reminds me of The Draw Play comic from last summer: The Money War Finds New Purpose

Yes I saw some discussion on ESPN about this when I was at the gym maybe 2-3 weeks ago.

It's not the roster size. NBA players actually get a larger percentage of the league money as pay compared to NFL players, even though there are fewer of them. NFL owners are extra greedy.

Next bargaining session is going to be interesting to say the least.

Throw in CTE, extra games, etc. and I wouldn't be surprised if there's some threat of, if not actual, player strike.

NFL owners really do act like antebellum plantation owners.

I'd be interested to hear ESPN's details, because at a glance, this only appears to be true by a small amount.

The current NBA CBA puts the players' percentage right around 50%.

The NFL CBA seems to put the number around 47%. It varies based on revenue sources, as the major types of revenue have separate percentages (40% of "local" revenue, ie. ticket sales, 55% of broadcast revenue, ie. the TV deals), but averages out around 47% or so in total.

In the past, the NBA players had a greater share. For the 1999-2005 CBA, it was 57%. After the lockout, both sides agreed to around 50%, and they renewed that in the latest CBA in 2016.

It's also worth pointing out that the NFL had about $14 billion in revenue, and the NBA's revenue was around $7.4 billion.

The real two major consequential factors in non-QB NFL salaries vs NBA player salaries still is the roster sizes(4.5x spots for football vs basketball), and the fact that there are only 30 NBA teams compared to 32 NFL teams(comes out to about a 6% difference in team cap between NFL and NBA teams).

It doesn't help that all of the FA rules in the NFL are designed to limit a player's access to a free market to keep his salary down. The NBA allows for teams to spend over the cap to retain players. In the NFL, this means often, veterans have to move to new teams late in the careers, as it is awkward to ask fan favorite stars to take a pay cut. But, if released, the player will sign for market value with someone else.

More NFL teams would keep veterans if they could pay them more without it hurting their cap numbers.

Dez Bryant at the age of 29 still doesn't have a team seems strange.

Packers on the other hand were vilified for moving on from Jordy Nelson who is 33.

Packers were vilified by Packers fans. Nobody else thought dumping an over-30 receiver whose numbers dropped like a stone was anything to blink at.

Dez Bryant turned down the Ravens offer, so it's not like there hasn't been interest of some sort. Dez simply wants to cherry pick. I don't blame him though the clock is ticking with camps underway.

Also, the Cowboys have gotten flak for letting him go and not really having someone to replace him.

So Dez to the Browns is not off the table...

Oh, that flak's going to look like confetti by comparison.
Jerry Jones told players they can't stay in locker room during anthem.

Ugh. I'm watching football this year because Aaron Rodgers but holy f*ck I'm so out the second the Packers are not relevant.

Between the sh*tty player stories, sh*tty owner stories and the sh*tty league management it's really hard to like anything.
