2017/18 Soccer Thread

Yeah, by all accounts Seri is really good. I'm jealous of Fulham actually spending money a year after winning promotion.

Have Manchester United done anything yet? You would think they'd want a couple of fullbacks and a central midfielder so they don't have to rely on De Gea bailing them out time and again.

Maybe Jose's going to focus on developing the youth players.

Jose's been using his scouts to scour the Manchester Evening News for articles beginning 'Manchester City are interested in..' and signed the prosaically named Brazilian, Fred. They've also signed some Portuguese youth player called Diogo Dalot.

Ahh thanks Dave, missed the Fred signing and Dalot is a fullback (though relying on a 19 year-old is only slightly better than the 33 year-old Young and Valencia).

Any objection to me closing the door on this thread and opening the 18/19 season ? Our Scottish friends have already kicked off for reals.

Nope go right ahead.

Nope. Just about that time, I think.

'City pull out of deal' my backside. City wouldn't pay the £60m they asked for, a fee was agreed, but de Laurentiis was stringing it along until Chelsea came for Serri.

New season, new thread !!
