I sure hope the H-E-Double Hockey Stick so.

The Ravens are experimenting with plays that have both Flacco and Lamar Jackson on the field at the same time.

"Joe has to be able to do other things if [Jackson is] throwing the ball," Harbaugh said. "It gets the creative juices flowing for our offensive coaches, and they've worked hard on that."
"I have a lot of fun seeing what they come up with and what they're going to come up with next," Jackson said. "We'll see where it goes. You have to use your good players."

Yes, but how does Joe feel about it? The last time the Ravens did this (with Tyrod Taylor, I believe) Flacco was something of a grudging participant. Maybe this'll work out better.

What's Flacco going to do about it? Start throwing only 4 yards per attempt?

Joe Flacco Has Played Longer For One Team Than Any Below-Average Quarterback

If only the ref's actually threw the flag near the end of that SB we might not even have to be wondering if Joe Flacco is elite or not.

You, I like you. I'm glad your Eagles won one.

Hey guys, more Greg Little news!

He's getting a tryout in Arizona. Again.

Also, more Christian Hackenberg news!

After trading for him, the Raiders have already seen enough. He was released, and has cleared waivers.

How bad does a dude have to be to get cut after 3 weeks of OTAs/minicamps?

Christian Hackenberg bad, apparently.

Raiders took one look and said, "nah man, we want our draft pick back".

Also, Kellen Winslow II was arrested for burglary because of course he was.

Turns out, that's barely the tip of the iceberg.

Police: Kellen Winslow II targeted older women for kidnapping, rape

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Winslow, who has been arrested and is currently in jail, kidnapped and raped two women in May. One was 54 years old and one was 59. Winslow is also accused of burglary with intent to rape a 71-year-old woman and burglary with intent to rape an 86-year-old woman, both in June.

This isn't funny or a joking matter, so do not click the spoiler below.

Spoiler:

They were getting older each time.

THEY WERE GETTING OLDER EACH TIME.

Bro, was was your endgame?

Cripes. He was always a dick, but... Jeez. That's even more nuts than OJ.

Seriously, that's crazy enough to be a crusader Kings 2 trait or something.

So, we all did a good job of not posting the hype train video of Andrew Luck throwing at practice last week, so good on you, me and everybody. Now, courtesy of MMQB, we have actual words from Andrew Luck:

“The pain is gone, and it’s going to stay that way,” he said to reporters at minicamp. “My body doesn’t revolt, in a sense, to new things I ask.”

Sounds like he's actually on track to begin playing again, but it's still a slow and cautious thing. And it doesn't appear that the Colts are blowing smoke up everyone's ass like last year. One can hope...

Panthers tell Cam Newton it’s OK to check down and go to the next play

I feel like that should have come up at some point before now?

Terrell Owens runs around 4.43 on a track at 44 years old.

Bucky Brooks said scouts would add 0.08 to the time because of the track surface, which would still put him in the low 4.5s.

Which would also put him faster than most human beings regardless of age.

Is this why he isn't going to the HoF ceremony? He's serious about playing again??!!?

I mean it would make him faster than Courtland Sutton, who Denver just took in round 2. It's legitimate 22 year old WR foot speed from a 44 year old.

I DIDN'T EVEN CLICK ON THE ARTICLE I SCREENSHOTTED THE HEADLINE SO FAST AND CAME HERE AS IT'S MY GOD GIVEN DUTY TO REPORT:

Spoiler:

And they're going to be on Hard Knocks which means we'll maybe see tons of him!!

The Football Gods have deemed Cleveland deserving of more punishment. Replacing Joe Thomas with Greg Robinson is like the nastiest answer to the question, "how do we hurt Browns fans in a way that they haven't already become numb to?"

I absolutely believe TO could still contribute in a meaningful way on any NFL team. He might not be on the field for every snap but in situations he could contribute.

I didn't believe it. Then I googled.

And to kick a good Browns fan while he's down:

Baker Mayfield apparently did not look ready to compete for the Browns starting QB job.

Josh Rosen, meanwhile, is earning raves, and got by far the most positive review of minicamp performances by the ESPN writers. So much so that Steve Wilks is having to say out loud that the team still plans to start Bradford, because Rosen has brought that into question.

Maybe things will change drastically when these guys all start playing real football, but from where I sit now, I still do not even remotely comprehend how Josh Rosen was considered only the 4th best QB of the class. As I said back before the draft, for me Rosen was the #1 QB and everyone else was a distant second or lower.

The NFC West is becoming quite the QB battleground. Wilson, Goff, Garoppolo, and soon Rosen.

I believe I had that one...

Yeah, I'd say you did.

I missed this, but apparently Joe Thomas was on Reddit before the draft and said: "The Browns should take Josh Rosen at #1 and Bradley Chubb at #4."

That would have been something to watch.

I read that article the other day and frankly this is a non-issue that people seemed to have taken the wrong way. Looking at the article again, the one things that sticks out to me is this:

He was touted as the most pro-ready of the top quarterbacks in this class.

Dude has to learn a playbook with gibberish in it and learn to take a snap from under center while Tyrod Taylor is a quality vet QB who doesn't have the same issue.

Anyway, anyone who took the advice that Baker Mayfield is the most pro ready QB is probably the same person who didn't have Rosen #1 on their list because Rosen was clearly the most pro ready by a long mile. tick off the boxes: pro-style offense, snaps under center, football IQ, work ethic, footwork, etc. Josh Allen is basically the other end of things in that he's raw as sh*t, but has more athletic ability and the rest of the QBs fit somewhere inbetween.

sh*t, I'd have to go digging and I don't feel like it, but Im pretty sure Lamar Jackson ran more pro-style stuff than Mayfield by a mile. "Mayfield is the most pro ready" is from people who like his highlight reel and didn't watch tape on anything else.

So, yeah, it's a non-issue story. The kid is going to sit the entire year, the Browns offense needs a vet in there. It'd be more surprising if Labbe's article had said Mayfield was pressing Tyrod for the job.

Yes I've seen some of Bobby's old playbooks from the early 2000s and that sh*t was complicated. Lamar is ready.

It's like night and day. Bobby Petrino runs a very pro-style offense in Louisville, which he modified around Jackson to incorporate a lot more zone-reads, but the core was the same pro-style offense he ran with Bridgewater. Mayfield played Big 12 air raid.

So Browns win what, maybe 3 games this year? Where do you guys put the over / under? If they start out 0-4 I bet Jackson is fired but who replaces him?
