The Division (Tom Clancy's) - Catch All

It's really good. They've ironed out most of the issues it had on launch. It has a long and deep end game. The story is pretty decent. The environments are pretty awesome. I picked it up on a sale myself and I've got a lot of value out of the £25 I spent on it.

How much on sale? I'm not sure if they've done it yet for this one, but Ubi themselves have been putting their games on sale for 67% off.

As for the game itself the campaign alone is worth the purchase. Rest is just bonus.

Its about 27 dollars for the game and expansion. I might be able to stack another coupon on top, plus I have $12 in credits.

Since the 1.8 patch the game has been great. It's my "go-to".
At $27 or less you can't beat the price.

I have been able to complete a few classified sets Tactician, Striker and D3. A friend and I 2man the Legendary missions on our lunch break with him as D3 and me on Tactician. The resistance mode is also a fun free addition that was made. It is nice that Ubi has continued to add and improve on the game. It will be interesting to see what they come up with for Division 2 .

I went ahead and made a Div2 thread since they're still planning on doing content for this one.

Just recently uninstalled the game my self. Had enough of my PC not liking the game. Cant run for more than 3 blocks. before I am forced to walk. While the environment loads. Had fun with the game, but just cant take it anymore.

I only had issues like that back at launch and only in the DZ sporadically (generally when a fight would start). The weird lighting issues i had with it before went away with the next driver update.

Really? I have a (what I feel is pretty “geriatric”) old PC - 770GTX nVidia card, 8gb ram, i5 processor - and I hadn’t had any problems. It’s been ages since last be played though.

It became supper prevalent, doing GE credit runs. The stairs on the first floor would disappear after about 2 or 3 runs of Lexington. Couldnt do Hudson, cause it had way to much running. So i would get stuck walking while the environment loaded.

So I have to wait till I get a better PC, and that wont be anytime soon.

There were floor disappearing issues on the ps4 version as well. It usually occurred when joining another person's instance, if I recall correctly. I would usually just quit playing when it started happening. A game restart would fix it sometimes, but it would always come back. This was back near launch, though.

So I just got this, and after banging my head against the Precinct Siege mission a billion times, I finally passed it and made my way to Manhattan. Really enjoying all the things to do so far.

My last achievement earned in this game was dated April 2016, but I just got back into it after signing up for Game Pass. I'd stalled out near the end of story mode, on a Level 24 mission where I was Level 22. I guess I just need to work on some side quests to level up? But I did matchmake into a group that got through the story mission. Hilariously, none of it rang a bell for me until the final encounter of the mission, where we were in some sort of construction site and had to fend off hordes of enemies. Suddenly I realized I'd quit the game years ago after getting to the end of this mission multiple times only to do a full team wipe. This time, however, I was luckier with my teammates, because even though I stupidly died by accidentally dropping down from our crew's perch and getting sniped before I could climb back up, after a very long time (like 15 minutes) my two surviving teammates took out all the remaining enemies and I got credit for the win.

I'd like to at least finish the three or so remaining story missions. What's the quickest way to level up? I was finding it tough to solo the side quests that we're near my level, and yet the level 18-19-20 side quests I did instead did not seem to get me a ton of XP. Is it worth replaying completed story missions? It's frustrating just how underpowered you feel in this game going up against an enemy who is a few levels higher than you, they just soak up your bullets and damage for what seems like forever.

There's a perk you can get, if memory serves, which gives you extra XP. If you search Youtube for videos about levelling quickly in the Division, there's tons of ways to do it.

The thing I found made the most difference in the early game was to mod the crap out of everything I picked up - tiny little improvements in handling or reload speed or critical hit damage or whatever all add up. Don't hang on to your cool-looking basic Police M4 - ditch it as soon as you get something even a tiny bit better.

Yep, biggest thing to remember is that this is a RPG first. Gear up and mod up everything before your next mission.

If you're not doing it, explore EVERYTHING. Finding echoes, missing agents, survival guides and such also generate XP. Also, be sure to kill every bad guy you see along the way.

This game is an explorer's heaven. There is so much off the beaten path goodness. Its like no other game. It's "Up Spook Hill" meets bio-terrorist shooter.

It's also worth it to hit each safe area along the way and do the missions that give you crafting recipes. Especially the blues. Crafted blues tend to be higher ilvl than what you'll find dropping for awhile. Still as soon as you get something higher don't be sentimental. Sell or break it down and use the higher level item.

There's absolutely nothing you'll find on your way to the end that you'll need to keep.

Ran speaks truth.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Really enjoying this, especially now that I've got an actual sniper rifle.

I just came across this excellent guide for newbies, which is bang up to date and focused on levelling. It’s really good.

I found that saving the things like phones until after you hit 30 is worth it... you get more xp for them, and will accelerate your post-leveling “leveling.”

Oh, so ignore the phones for now? I've been picking them up as I've found them, but I've only found three so far.

I'm having fun soloing the game. Completely burnt out on WoW so this is my only MMO at the moment.

Wanted to start playing again. Cant get this game or Ghost Recon Wildlands to launch from Steam or from Ubiplay. F*cking hate Ubisoft's sh*tty service.

Try turning off the Steam overlay for each game. This may work if u r in Win10. I had an issue similiar that was fixed by this option..

This may be a good idea but before you start to worry about end game/post 30 leveling you have to get to level 30. I didn't have a problem going from tier1 to tier 5 despite grabbing a lot of things as I went along.

How do you do that - I turrned it off in the Steam settings but I dont see a by game option. It didnt help in general. I dont understand what the deal is. Ive about had it with patches and updates that break Ubi games.
Its the weirdest thing - none of the Clancy games will launch - Recon, Division, Siege. I am stumped and pissed.
