Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (Catch All)

Same here. I haven't had a lick of trouble with Challenge mode with my guardian.

So is a challenge mode the second difficulty emblem on the pre-mission screens?

RE: presentation: the ingame graphics are uneven but the opening cutscene featuring the exterior shots of the Martyr was jaw dropping.

My only gripe with the look is the lack of AA options. TAA is fine and helps get rid of the vast amount of shimmering but I'd love a crisper looking image overall and believe I have the horsepower to do so.

Also, my monitor is only 1200p, so I'm beginning to feel the need to bump up to a new one so I can do 4K on it.

I believe yes.

There are two parts, the emblems which switch between story mode and challenge mode. Then if challenge mode is selected you have a drop down box that you can select four levels from normal to wtf.

So, for example, for the first mission of part3 of the story quest you can select story mode for difficulty 50, or normal mode for difficulty 300 to 450 based on subchoice.

I believe the difficulty rating can be roughly seen as an aim item level, at least that is how I look at it.

Personally I used story mode through unlocking Uther's Tarot to get all the essential bridge functions.

EDIT - apparently paying attention is not my strong suit, the account level being separate was removed so skill points are generated on a per character basis.

I think I'm going to start Ravenor the Psyker this evening.

I'm gonna try a Psyker my own self soon.

Thanks Garrcia.

Challenge Mode - Normal isn't bad at all although all boss fights boil down to "kite kite kite like crazy", backpedal into the most advantageous room/arena then proceed to kite some more.

The sniper rifle as it stands currently doesn't cut it for DPS on the boss. I've definitely had to run in close, plant my feet and YOLO with autopistols or autogun.

All y'all trying out Psyker... that class sounds like the true Hard Mode to me

A sniper rifle is GREAT for whittling bosses down from a distance, using it's ability to stun targets, then finishing off with a 2H sword.

Great info on the Psyker, guys - thanks.

I made a new one , a staff one, and tried it out, and tutorial mission 3 was a cakewalk -. SO much easier than with forcerod that its night and day difference.

In general, its way easier today than it was last night. I do see Megapull mention some update that changed the difficulty, and though I had installed both updates, maybe it had to take somehow, or I had to restart the game again for it to take? I dont know, but the game is way more balanced for me today in Challenge mode.

Yaaayyyyyyy!

Has anyone tested this game out on a 21:9 monitor?

OMG you guys were right about this staff-based Psyker. OMG SUPER FUN KILLING MACHINE. Blew through the five tutorial levels in 30 minutes.

Keep in mind that the fiery form is the bees knees. You can still use force rod and sword with it and do serious work.

What do you mean by firey form? I'm using primarily fire spells at the moment.

Firey Form is the aoe ring around you. It's the first fire spell. Its super powerful at low levels. With a rod and power sword you're limited to 2 psykic abilities, but the sword attack does a good amount of single target damage. I would fire up the ring and charge in a boss and watch them melt away. It wasn't until later that i started using the staff and 4 abilities.

Oh yes, that thing! I do love that thing.

I still feel like the Psyker is squishy at the lower levels. Maybe they come into their own in the late teens and 20s.

Could be designed for coop play, though I think that's usually a bad idea in ARPGs.

Or they're unbalanced and will get patched up to snuff.

Or they level up into use, as you say.

I doubt anything is as tanky as the crusader or as squishy as the assassin. Psyker seems to be a bit in-between.

They have a lot of buffs that put them on par with a low end crusader. It's a balancing act trying to get the right defenses in place and still have enough oomph to get the job done.

They do need to make the audio queues more apparent when the buffs wear off. I die a lot now because one moment i'm taking marginal if any damage then poof i'm dead!

Agreed, while the on-screen counter is helpful, it's not enough.

Decided to switch up to Crusader melee style while it’s still early... umm I’m a little wrecking ball! May as well call the class The Butcher.

Yes, yes I do think I’ll be using him the rest of the way. As suggested it’s probably ideal to go sword n board and pack a firearm in the second set in case targets need softening up before the slice n dice.

Tasty! Thanks Veloxi: always up on the news, you are.

Happy to read about those technical fixes. I was victim to a few of those load screen crashes last night and sweating bullets.

I hang out in their Discord.

Plus I'm admittedly obsessed.

Got it to work and sent a Cabal request.

I have the gear on my crusader to try this out, but I'm enjoying flamethrower too much! I'll give this a whirl when I get home tonight.

A (thankfully) shorter, tigher review from SkillUp
