Worse, he cancelled on the ones that wanted to come, because he is very, very small.
Not gonna lie, the differences between how the leagues treat their players has a lot of do with why I've become more interested the NBA. I just wish I had a local team to root for, because it is hard to sustain interest as a pure outsider, especially when I have teams I'm already following.
A large group of Eagles players had decided not to attend, including most -- if not all -- of the black players
Huh. I would have figured those demographics would have suited Trump just fine P&C let's gooooo
Wait, I thought we all watched football to laugh at Legion's lame QBs.
I'm just to here to point out that I just liked garion's post.
I'm just here so I don't get fined.

Well laugh it up while you can, because you won't be laughing at this stud!
Garapatrollface.
Here you go, Legion, an on topic post.
^^ Damn right.

Did anyone watch the All or Nothing about a New Zealand rugby team? Maybe it's time for a sport switch...
I think the real issue at NFL games is the price of beer. I think 4 dollars would be a better price than the ridiculous prices they charge.

Bwahahahaha

Rugby's great. It's not football (it's closer to soccer in a lot of ways), but it's fun and close enough to the NFL to get me through the post-Super Bowl blah period. World Cup 7s are in July in SF - Legion, you should go check it out and report back.
As for the NFL, I'm sticking around. I try to tune out most of the nonsense best I can and watch the Panthers on Sundays. I'm not giving the NFL much money - I don't go to games, buy merch, pay for Red Zone, etc. - so I guess I can rationalize my continued fandom.
Article about the Jets QB situation and how well Teddy has been playing. After one week of OTA's, so take this with a giant grain of salt, Teddy is greatly outperforming both McCown and Darnold. I don't think any of us here are surprised by this since we've all been fans of the kid. I still stand by my analysis that the Jets want Teddy to start and then trade him when Darnold is ready to play. (Then Teddy will go to a 2017-like 49ers team and JUST WIN for them like Jimmy G did.)
Anyway, there's was a little about Christian Hackenberg and how he spent the offseason working on his throwing motion. Then this gem:
Directly and indirectly, Christian Hackenberg cost the Jets four second-round picks.
They got nothing out of Hackenberg, a second-round choice in 2016. That factored into the decision to trade up in this year's draft -- and the price was three second-round picks. They would've been happy to stand pat if Hackenberg had demonstrated the ability to be a starting-caliber quarterback, but they felt compelled -- wisely so -- to move on and make an aggressive play for a top prospect.
Wow. Hackenberg is the worst.

a 2017-like 49ers teamthe Jacksonville Jaguars team that should have signed him in the first place and JUST WIN for them like Jimmy G did.)
FIXED.
Jags won't be 0-9 like the Niners were last year, but I still expect Bortles to be the limiting factor, and why the team didn't challenge him with someone like Bridgewater (who was just looking for a landing spot where he could compete), I will never understand.
If Cody Kessler takes a meaningful snap for Jacksonville while Teddy does well somewhere else, I will melt down.

Watson and Teddy could back each other up. Houston's been without a good QB for so long I think we deserve to have two for a while. Just to make Legion crazy.

I'm so disappointed that it wasn't the Texans that traded for BOB's boy Hackenberg.
Bob Mueller's looking like a slowpoke by comparison.
Julian Edelman to be suspended 4 games for PED violation. To me this is interesting because I don't particularly like Edelman as he's always come off as an ass, but that's neither here nor there. The really interesting bit is he's been working with Alex Guerrero, so this is another notch in the belt of those who want him gone:
Guerrero continues to be the Yoko Ono of Kraft’s Magical Mystery Tour.
Also, Kellen Winslow II was arrested for burglary because of course he was.
Earlier today, there were a lot of rumbles that Gronk was about to be traded.
It sounds like Belichick may have lost a power struggle with Brady again.
Word from the team, of course, is that there was "zero truth" to the rumors.
Bah, I hate it when my emotions get played like that.
Belichick should just retire and leave Kraft to his mess. Brady has at most two years left in him, Kraft is failing as an owner if he is letting Brady dictate stuff like this and the Garrapolo trade.
Positive Browns news for once, seeing as this is the time of year for that sort of thing:
Duke Johnson extended 3 yr, $15 mil (half guaranteed), which makes to much sense. I wish he was used more, but glad they're holding onto him. (Sashi would've cut him, prob.)
Denzel Ward has moved up from 2nd team to 1st team. Obviously very early, but he's sticking to receivers as advertised and putting in a ton of work.
Denzel Ward has moved up from 2nd team to 1st team.
1st team Browns, though.
My favorite NFL thing this week.
I don't think there's any way Chancellor is in playing shape to start this season, and honestly, I think this may be it for his career.
On top of that, Earl Thomas has officially begun a holdout.
The band has truly broken up. Can't say that I'll miss them, but for Seattle fans, it's an unceremonious end of an era all at once (even if Thomas does stay, which is 50/50 at best right now).
Funny thing about that Malcolm Jenkins video is the reporters not listening while he’s literally saying, “You’re not listening”. Like seriously STFU for 2 minutes and listen.
