Path of Exile catch-all

Thanks for the invite. I donated 100 points to the guild to add some more slots.

I'm starting with a good old boring vanilla Warchief Totem build to start with and build up some currency, but I want to try a trap build at some point this league. See you guys in game!

I like big magic witch builds like firestorm and summons. Any new builds I should look at?

Also donated 100 to the guild bank

Volatile Dead looks fun to play:

Try one of these maybe, might be expensive.

Thanks Jakeleg and Arovin! I'll put the slots in place next time I log in.

Okay, I'm having trouble accepting the donation coins, bear with me. The page hangs every time I click "Accept". I'll try again at a lower use time, I suspect it's a database timeout of some kind.

I'm trying to level my Righteous Fire guy as a Scorching ray, cast when channeling, firestorm guy now at level ~45 after failing miserably at trying to level as a sunder guy. I've never tried spells before so I don't have the slightest clue how to increase my damage with gear. I'm pretty slow right now....no hope of killing architects in incursions for example. Any suggestions for gearing?

Did sunder get nerfed? Add maim and onslaught and it normally clears everything in 1 or 2 hits.

Homard - Look for spell damage gear, of course. I like to jack up the Elemental damage for what I'm using, and sometimes I'll go heavy into the gems that turn some elemental damage into void, and amplify that as I can. Curses and vulns work too.

The skill tree I was building for RF is almost all based on Life regen nodes and fire damage increases. No attack damage or attack speed. Sunder hits pretty hard, but it's really really slow. I also had an ancestral totem up to help out, but it's all slow. Some of the problem is that I like the league mechanic so I want to be fast enough to actually do some of that while I level. As it is now I can't come close to enough damage to keep up in incursions. In any case, I'm leveling now with the above spell combo and it's decent, but I need to find a way to do a little more damage.

I wanted to spend a few dollars on the game while I am playing it, instead of doing my usual F2P strategy and buying something a few days before I move on. Is there a way to get Points at a cheaper price? The micro-transactions for this game are not so micro. I see the supporter packs are the way to go from the official store, but I don't really like any of the current packs.

I’ve dipped a toe in PoE a few times but want to give it an honest go during the Incursion league. I’m over on Xbox due to being console-only these days. Appears to be guild-less over there, anyone else here playing on the console?

Sadly no, this game's "micro" transactions are very expensive (and incredibly overpriced IMO). There are sales from time to time, but if you want to get bang for your buck your best bet is to buy stash tabs, those are somewhat reasonably priced.

I was happy with the Scholar's Pack, it's got a less extrovert appearance. But mostly, look in the sales section, or buy Mystery Boxes, they both rotate frequently and you can get some good effects that way.

Having a blast (literally) with Minion Instability and Skeletons using the new Sceptre that came out this league. Watching 30+ Vaal Skeletons blow up one by one a millisecond apart on top of a boss is so satisfying.

Can I get an invite? My current Incursion character is Hedtrap.

I'm trying again for the Oni and about to hit the 3 hour mark after getting 4 toons to level 7. I'm probably going to give up after another hour or two. Sucks they made it so rare now.

I'm trying to build a zombie minion/bow based Shadow. This is, perhaps, a bonkers stupid thing to do.

I found a Tabula Rasa though.

Just got the Kaom's Way prophecy for my RF character. 2 levels from transitioning too, just in time. Two leagues ago I got Xoph's fire amulet just as I found Ngamahu's axe for my cyclone guy. Fortune knows no bounds.
The hardest part about this RF character is going to be giving up on the Searing Ray/Firestorm playstyle. It took a while, but I'm having a blast leveling with it now.

Okay, the microtransactions finally processed. I'll add 20 slots momentarily. Thanks! That should be plenty.

I just wanted to say thank you to the folks who are donating to the Guild stash, especially in the current league. That really makes everyone's life a bit easier, and accelerates leveling. I hope folks are making judicious use of the cool gear!

Finally got RF going. I went from being about 50% on either opening a door or popping an architect on incursions to 100% clearing over half of them. I had to outlay quite a bit of currency to get set up at level 65 when the build enabling items came online but wow is it ever strong, even with one ring, gloves and amulet still junk from level 30.

The only big problem I have is that I'm not going to be able do get the cool double corruptions as losing max resists makes this build no longer function.

I'll keep throwing uniques and decent jewellery into the guild stash until someone tells me to stop. If anyone has quality gem requests, I might have them. I end up keeping a stash tab full of quality gems at a time until I turn them all in for GCPs.

Just please, take as you need too. But return if you stop using them; the ones people take are likely to be the most useful ones, so let's recycle them.

I was the one that organized the stash a bit instead of having everything on that first page. Hope that didn't worry anyone.

No, that's great. Thanks!

Just a friendly bump.

Invite incoming. Didn't see the first one, sorry.

Started a Volatile Dead trickster last night. Volatile Dead has provided the smoothest leveling I have ever experienced in PoE. Under 3 hours to get to act 4 with not much in terms of leveling gear.

What's the idea behind volatile dead?

I am trying a self cast Volatile Dead but at end game will be focusing it on chaos conversion and poison stacking. Most builds I have seen use poets pen or stack crit chance and go Inquisitor. I wanted to try something different from the meta (as always ) and I figured with spell cascade a single target will take so many rapid hits from both the corpse explosions and the fireballs that it would be a great way to stack poison.

Have not got there yet, right now the build just focuses on fire damage and life/es from the tree. Probably around level 60 I'll switch over to converting fire damage to chaos and getting 100% chance to poison on hit. The best part so far is the lack of needing to aim with Volatile Dead. I just cast Desecrate with Spell Cascade to make a ton of corpses and cast Volatile Dead with Spell Cascade to blow them all up and make fireballs that self track to the nearest enemy.

Here is a good build guide to show the play style (As long as you ignore the ball jokes )

My build will be similar but with a focus on Choas conversion and poison stacking. We will see how it ends up overall.

Oh cool! Something new to try lol. Thanks.
