Battlefield V - Catch All

I want to learn more about the co-op mode. Mass Effect multiplayer is one of my favorite game experiences. I'd love to play something similar in a WW2 environment with the gameplay features this game will have.

I have a feeling this will be the second Battlefield I skip. I skipped BF1 due to how they did the unlocks, focused on autos rather than bolts, killing of battlelog, and their horrible rental server program.

Based off the trailer, I don't see BFV being an improvement. There are rumors they are killing user run and rented servers since supposedly EA wants more of the Battlefront model.

I will wait for the beta and release, but I have a feeling much like I abandoned COD when Activision killed servers and switched to p2p matchmaking with COD:MW2, BF4 may be my last Battlefield.

CoD:BO3 had dedicated servers and we're still waiting to see what's up with BO4.

Killing battlelog was a blessing!

Speaking of progression. Jackfrags dumps a bunch of new info on progression and Tides of War.

It's pre-ordered!! I'm looking to get back into it. Hopefully with a GWJ BF server again

I definitely getting it. It looks fantastic and what I heard from streamers, they improved the game to make it more tactical and promoting squad cohesion.

I'm hoping that they don't include any Lockers or Metro style maps. I'd be very happy with a more open map style similar to 1942 and BF2 with the benefit of having far more props and terrain placed in between objectives.

+1000

I just hope that they avoid the mistake they made in BF1 and give everyone automatic weapons. It broke the immersion for me.

Unfortunately, giving everybody full-auto weapons will be more "justifiable" for a game set in WW2 than in WW1.

I know. Whenever I played Day of Defeat or Battlefield 1942, I enjoyed the challenge of using single-shot or semi-automatic weapons.

I remain optimistic.

Jack put up some game play video. Looks really good.

See ya October 11

I can’t wait to see the satire coming out of a historical battle royale mode.

Steven Spielberg presents: Band of Backstabbers.

So much full auto.

Yep, me too! I had just finished watching Jackfrags "Goodbye BF1" video too.

It said small slice and they meant it! Only 10gb

Also have a channel set up on the GWJ discord if people are wanting to group up.

I was shocked I received an invite. I don't even recall signing up lol.

I'll look forward to hearing impressions

No invite so far

I have not gotten an invite either. I another note, my Origin purchase said it was still processing, but they charged my Paypal account. I spent about 45 minutes chatting with support and they suggested I cancel and reorder. I did that and it was $5 more expensive. The initial purchase had no taxes, but the second one did. It went from 79.99 to 84.99. The second order says its still processing, but again Paypal was charged. UGH!!!!!!
