That. That can't be real, right?

That reads worse than an internet forum troll post.

EDIT:

Oh, I forgot that his tweets get reposted like official statements.

It's like sh*tty 1984. f*ck this f*cker.

EDIT: Trump, I mean.

Bigly Brother

Holy what the WHAT?

I guess Clearasil really doesn't want gay customers. Or customers with gay friends. Or customers who met a gay person once.

literally true.

I uh. Wow.

I especially love how McCabe's wife accepting $700,000 in donations for her campaign has morphed in Trump's mind to McCabe getting personally paid by Hillary (and, apparently, keeping the money).

Never mind that tens of millions of dollars raised for Trump's inauguration still remain unaccounted...

Nailed it.

Why is Kevin Bacon going to kill a teenager?

Feminism.

And a talk about his new book: "The Road to Unfreedom"

And I'm going to go see him speak in DC about his new book!

I suspect pointing a shotgun at somebody as a joke is funnier if there is any indication by context that it's a joke...

Truly creepy. From Nov, 2017.

All the dystopian potential of increasingly smart advertising technology is scary enough, but the fact that campaigns are (successfully!) using machine learning and advertising to encourage people not to vote... That sort of thing should be illegal, but legislating against it is practically impossible because advertising is speech.

I’ve joked that skynet is going to come online and the terminator is going to bust through a wall saying “Sarah Conor, come with me if you want Incredible Deals!”

Rule of Law, pardons, executive power, freedom, and even the economy in this one.

Fwiw this is a known YouTube celebrity named Stephen Quire who regularly pulls “freak out” pranks. Im not sure if it should be taken as a serious reflection of white culture or attitudes as the entire family (and possibly the boat captain) are in on the act.

PS - ok, maybe there’s an argument to be made that white privilege allows young white YouTube stars to push the envelope.

Shannon Falls tragedy highlights potential dangers of social media stardom.

Adventurers killed in Shannon Falls tragedy shared joys of travel online.

How many people are injured or killed, trying to get famous, stay famous, or just copy-cat YouTube stunts?

It’s a tragedy, probably moreso because it was entirely avoidable...

Edit - the group apparently have a history of violating a number of various park rules; resulting in a jail sentence, at least once.

This thread is amazing. Thank you & please keep posting

omg

Sasha’s show is a train wreck I can’t stop watching. His latest clip of teaching some GOP rep how to use upskirt photos to detect terrorists is hilarious and awful in equal measures.

Georgia Rep. Jason Spencer wrote:

In 2017 I received countless death threats in connection with my introduction of legislation involving the wearing of masks. The threats escalated to the point that my wife received threatening phone calls concerning her and my children. I was very afraid for my safety and the safety of my entire family. Then, on June 14, a gunman opened fire at members of Congress on a baseball field. I knew people on that field. Now, the fears I already had became more intensified as the reality of my family being targeted by a similar, deranged, would-be assassin became even more possible. I was in such a poor state of mind that my wife and I also undertook marriage counseling with a licensed therapist during this time.

Sacha Baron Cohen and his associates took advantage of my paralyzing fear that my family would be attacked. In posing as an Israeli Agent, he pretended to offer self-defense exercises. As uncomfortable as I was to participate, I agreed to, understanding that these "techniques" were meant to help me and others fend off what I believe was an inevitable attack.

My fears were so heightened at that time, I was not thinking clearly, not could I appreciate what I was agreeing to when I participated in his 'class'. I was told I would be filmed as a 'demonstration video' to teach others the same skills in Israel. Sacha and his crew further lied to me, stating that I would be able to review and have final approval over any footage used.

I deeply regret the language I used at this request as well as my participation in the 'class' in general. If I had not been so distracted by my fears, I never would have agreed to participate in the first place.

I apologize to my family, friends, and the people of my district for this ridiculously ugly episode. Finally, there are calls for me to resign. I recently lost my primary election, so I will not be eligible to hold office next term. Therefore, I will finish the remaining five months at my post and vacate my seat.

Spencer wasn't completely honest in his apology.

He completely abandoned his anti-burqa law back in November 2016, not 2017. The public pushback was so severe that he withdrew the legislation a mere two days after proposing it.

So that means he's claiming that all the horrible things he did and said in the video in 2018 were because he's spent the past two years pissing his pants in fear of an "inevitable" attack from some unknown group or person and not because he's a horrible, racist, homophobic POS.

You know, the kind of horrible POS that "warned" a former black colleague in the Georgia legislature that she and others like her who supported the removal of Confederate statues "will go missing in the Okefenokee" and that if they persist that "I can't guarantee you won’t be met with torches but something a lot more definitive.”

EDIT: Spencer's resigning at the end of the month in the face of pressure from GOP leaders and several state legislators threatening ethics complaints.

That's what happens when you get caught saying the quiet part loud. It def doesn't represent any movement in the GOP re: having embraced racism or islamaphobia.
