NFL 2018 Draft Thread

Davenport?

Honest question; how good does Marcus Davenport have to be to justify that cost? That's freaking insane. The NFL Network comp was Ziggy Ansah; would anybody pay that much for Ziggy Ansah?

Surprised the Saints would give up a future 1st for a raw pass rusher, but happy that Lamar Jackson will be a Raven.

The Browns drafted Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert 2.0.

Nupe!

Bills give up a 3rd and swap 5th to move up 6 spots; the Bucs got two 2nds from the Bills to move back five spots. What the hell is going on with people accepting trades? Bucs killed on that trade.

He's got to be good and good immediately. This is a win-now move, but with a raw player from an FCS team. Odd.

Speaking of raw players, Edmunds is super raw. Lots of talent but he has no idea what he's doing yet.

That’s how my night is, how about you?

The thought did cross my mind as well.

Yes. Ansah is good, but injury has kept him from consistently dominating.

Problem is raw pass rushers, like Ansah, take three years to mature, so why give up a future 1st?!? That's the nuts part.

Packers probably going to take someone boring, like Jaire Alexander or something.

EDIT: Nailed that sh*t.

Particularly when you have a presumably short window, with an old Drew Brees. Jumping up for Lamar Jackson made some sense; this kid? No idea.

Boring is good.

Is anyone else bothered by how badly the big screen images cut across screens in the draft hall?

Someone tell Cleveland that.

Martavis Bryant traded to Oakland?

Dallas needs a TE. Is 19 too early?

It's Leighton time!

Meh, they need him, but damned if he wouldn't have been nice in Baltimore.

Glad he's not in New England.

Raiders trade a 3rd round pick for Martavias Bryant because . . . Gruden?

Martavias Bryant?

3rd round pick?

Ravens have to take Calvin Ridley because Alabama, and because, y'know, Breshad.

Ridley, Crabtree, and Snead in the slot. Three guys for Flacco to underthrow.

Interior O-line time.

Oh gawd, Gruden is terrible!

Was Price projected as a 1st round pick?

I mean, Cincy taking OL with the pick was a given but I don't recall how highly thought of Price was.

Ravens trade down a 2nd time, Titans scoot up 3 spots to take Rashaan Evans.

So were the Patriots blowing smoke or do they really want Lamar?

Been hearing that Baltimore was interested tonight, but then they trade down. I don't know what's going on.

In this draft, everyone after the 15th or so pick is basically carrying a 2nd round grade. Nobody likes the bottom half of this year's 1st round because you're paying more for guys that could easily go in the middle of the 2nd instead.

I'm probably about to be proven wrong, but I think New England leans towards immediate contributors for now.

And defensive at that.

Though I'm sure they're in the market for OL.
