Playstation 4 Games Catch-All

Playstation Plus games for April (at least according to Eurogamer)

Mad Max (PS4)
Trackmania Turbo (PS4)

I had fun with Mad Max. It’s a B-tier Ubisoft game, but some good times in there. I liked the driving

I'm interested in trying Mad Max. I hear the control set up is a tad counter intuitive.

I might actually grab it.

You should.

I fell off after about 20 hours back on the PS3 because it got a bit samey, but was a decent game. After rewatching Fury Road recently I was actually thinking about purchasing again next time it was going real cheap on PS4 sale... This news even better.

I'm very excited to try Mad Max! I've been wanting a new open world sandbox game.

Great. PS+ is going through the library of titles I bought (digitally, of course) when I first got my PS4 and giving them away.

Mad Max is exactly the sort of game I'm happy to see in PS+. No desire to actually finish it (yet), was likely never going to purchase it, but was always that little bit curious.

And Trackmania? Hell yeah! I had a blast playing an older demo version years ago. I'm excited!

Its a great month in my opinion, I really enjoyed my time with Mad Max, just try not to worry about 100% the thing, and having trackmania in digital form vs disc is a big plus.

I've "almost" bought Mad Max several times, so I'm glad my laziness has paid off!

Can't recall if I have Trackmania on XB1 or PS4 but I remember it was a lot of "stupid" fun, whilst still maintaining that "just one more crack" mentality in respect to nailing track times.

Inertia for the win!

I played the Trackmania demo. I never fully understood what was going on.

I thought someone might have called me out on this It must have been one of my first games on PS4. My shirty memory might have got it mushed up with Tomb Raider. Both were V. Good!

Doubleydi postage.

Lara would win in a scrap though I reckon

I dislike Ubisoft type open worlders in general and I very rarely finish games, but I both liked and finished Mad Max.

Spider-Man PS4 Comes Out September 7

Spider-Man will be out September 7, developer Insomniac Games said today. Prepare to swing webs and so on.

The upcoming superhero action game, announced at E3 2016, is a PlayStation 4 exclusive set in an open-world version of New York City. You’ll play as a 23-year-old version of Peter Parker, fighting the likes of Kingpin and Mister Negative.

Insomniac Games is perhaps best known for the Ratchet and Clank series, although in recent years the studio has released several original games including the shooter Fuse and the Xbox exclusive action game Sunset Overdrive. If you can’t wait until September for more details, this month’s Game Informer cover story is all about Spidey.

I've had PS+ since last August. I got it when I intended to play Destiny 2 on PS4, then changed my mind and got it on PC. In the time I've had PS+, I haven't played any multiplayer, and I haven't booted up a single PS+ game.

I guess I did get a few bonus sale discounts out of it? But I probably shouldn't renew at the end of the year.

Don't worry, when you forget to cancel it, it will auto-renew for your convenience.

I know, which is why I was a clever boy and bought a 1 year code instead! That should keep me from getting auto-renewed (I think).

You can also turn off auto renew.

Yes. I just loaded it up and played for 20 or 30 minutes after logging out of Fortnite:STW last night. So, I didn't take the time to check out the control presets, but the default is definitely... odd.

Here's more footage showing off traversal:

I am excite.

I'm thinking about picking up the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy on ps4, for someone who isn't the greatest at platformers is it beatable?

Did you play the originals? They can certainly be challenging. I picked it up, played for a while, and lost all my lives on a single level. You can start again, but if you just have the original lives you must start at the beginning of the level, rather than at checkpoints. Back in the day, I fully completed Crash Bandicoot (and the others, mostly), but I had a more difficult time recently.

I am older now.

I never played the originals beyond a few demo discs back in the day, I'm not looking to complete them, just basically see all the levels and get to the credits.

This seems intriguing and moody.

EDIT: Also, no date but looks charming.

Impact Winter looks interesting!

Overall, they are fun games, and while they are finishable, they are more unforgiving than say 21st century Mario games.

Game informer show first in-depth impressions of gameplay. Lots of talk about the web swinging. Sounds incredible.

God of War lets you customise the HUD in a pretty cool way

As Cory mentioned in interviews, we’ve included what we’re calling Immersion Mode. This will cut things down to just the minimal absolute necessary HUD elements. There’s no right or wrong way to play; you’ll certainly have a lot of helpful info close at hand if you’re playing with the HUD fully enabled. But for those fans who are sensitive to the HUD, or perhaps for folks who want to stream or capture and would prefer as little UI as possible, there you go. To enable Immersive UI, it’s as easy as going to the Settings menu, clicking HUD and switching HUD Mode to Immersive. Yes, that means you can toggle it on and off while you play!

In addition to this, we’ve added an extra mode that allows you to customize which of these HUD elements you want ON, OFF or enabled via the touch pad which brings up that element for a short duration. This will enable players to truly customize their experience by adjusting visibility to HUD elements like enemy health bars, compass and enemy off screen indicators.

Sounds like they’re taking a cue from Horizon: Zero Dawn.

That would be great. If you want to copy someone copy someone good.
