WEEKS! We have to wait WEEKS!
fan-made teaser trailer
Is there anything there or am I going to want that minute of my life back?
I believe that is based off of a short film.

Yep. (Spoilered in case you want to avoid anything spoilery and can't resist the temptation to click.)

Spoiler:
The short film was enough for me, thanks.
More Hollywood romcom trash.
Cargo: Zombie with a heart of gold?
Well, that's an appealing poster frame.

Well, it caught my eye...
like a fishhook
Wildling
*At first I was rolling my eyes at another horror story about an abused child. I expected the dad to come jumping out to try to get her back but I was pleasantly surprised.
Uh, I mean, it looked cool right up until they showed me the entire movie.
Furlough
Aaaand ditto for this one.
Yeah I saw that Wildling trailer a while ago and....nice of them to show the twist up front to save everyone time later
Keep in mind, when Gilliam first undertook to make this movie, it was supposed to star a promising rising star of a teen heartthrob named Johnny Depp, and in that context, this trailer is essentially a giant middle finger to the universe:
Part of me still thinks this is a bait-and-switch and it's actually just a documentary about yet another failed attempt to make the movie.
If anything, I'd call this a giant middle finger to Johnny Depp, given he was replaced by Adam Driver, of all people.
Also, that was a good documentary, to be fair...

I'm trying to understand your meaning here. Having seen Adam Driver in Logan Lucky as well the guy's a solid actor. I mean, he does a good job with Kylo Ren, even. And man, I've seen what Tumblr thinks of Adam Driver.
...perhaps too much of what Tumblr thinks...
So I'm trying to parse in what way this is a middle finger. Perhaps that, whatever may happen, Terry was gonna make this movie no matter who told him no?
Either way, I'm down. It's Terry Gilliam. I'd say that someone's letting him make a movie at all is a miracle in this day and age.

I'm pretty sure Policeman means that since this movie has been in development hell so long that Johnny Depp was a teenage up-and-comer when it was conceived, the fact it has finally been made and is being released at all is a triumph in the face of adversity.
However, Wikipedia tells me pre-production started in 1998, when Johnny Depp was 35, so I think some hyperbole was involved.

Yep. Given the time his set flooded away, apparently one of the people telling Gilliam "No!" was God Himself.
I mean, there's "Oh, man, no one will give GDT the budget he thinks At the Mountains of Madness requires!" and then there's "So, some Old Testament sh*t just happened while we were trying to film..."
Gotcha. I look forward to the Blu-Ray extras and the fascinating story they'll tell.
There was a documentary called "Lost in La Mancha" released in the early 2000's about the first, doomed attempt to film this movie, when the flood (among other misfortunes) occurred. It's supposed to be pretty good.
7 minute trailer which left me confused on wtf this movie is about...
After watching their father, a badly animated CGI basketball, be killed by a square headed nutritionist our protagonist must enter a tournament and fight a series of Chinese-focused stereotypes on increasingly generic sound stages!
