Ah I'd forgotten all about lunar tears. I was thinking about The flower from Drakengard 3.
Oh man I just met
Emil's head!
It's nice hearing someone else going through the game for the first time. Brings back great memories, and also lets me look forward to what you have yet to experience.
Make sure you keep us updated!
That shop song though!
Ah.
Popol and Devola.
. Two people I really did not expect to see again. I remember feeling outrageously betrayed last time I met them.

Gematsu has some tidbits from the latest Famitsu in which several members of Automata's staff were interviewed. Key highlights:
- The developers’ impressions of the last year are that they were able to do what they wanted and were happy that NieR: Automata sold well.
- They wanted NieR: Automata to sell one million copies, but never thought that it would break through two million worldwide.
- A considerable amount of people have been interviewed regarding NieR-related work scenario staff recruitment. They are still in the final screenings. Yoko Taro said, “This is the first time I felt that there is so much to do for just one project.”
- They feel that fans of the original NieR pulled through immensely for NieR: Automata. The amazing hunger of fans who have been supporting the series seems to have attracted the interests of new fans.
- Regarding NieR: Automata topics that have yet to be discussed, as a small trick, you can press the R3 button while holding one of the d-pad arrows to change the camera distance. However, using it can break through the terrain and bug the camera. After careful consideration, they left it in as it seemed very NieR.
- “That” has yet to be discovered. It will definitely be unpleasant, so the developers will not officially announce what it is. For various reasons, this specification was put into the game. If they are more detailed about what it is, problems might occur, so they cannot say anything more. It is the final secret of NieR: Automata…
- Regarding future titles, right now a game is being proposed to producer Yosuke Saito. The developers are trying their best to not be at a standstill. Yoko Taro said, “I made the proposal thinking it would be good if everyone suffered. I want to announce it when the project is passed.”
- Regarding the future of NieR, nothing has been decided and it is unknown what the series will become, but given that 2020 is the 10 year anniversary of the series, they want to announce something big. They think it would be good if there is a new game announcement.

Bet you there isn't anything. Like how FROM, with the original Dark Souls, said people should take the Pendant as the starting gift, because it enhanced the story... only it turns out it doesn't do anything.
How is the crash situation on PC?
How is the crash situation on PC?
Ran like butter for me.
Its running fine on my laptop. One camera screw at the beginning is all.
How is the crash situation on PC?
Still crashing on my 780ti, but I managed 2 hours last time I tried.
Video no worky.

You can't use youtu.be for that, you gotta use the full URL or just the extension.
Curse you ending G. Shakes fist at screen.
I should be finishing Route A in the next couple of days...
(I'm about to go back to the Resistance camp after fleeing the god-crazed machines in the abandoned factory)
... but I only now learned to plug in some of the many chips I had been collecting throughout the game... and what a difference they made! It's moments like this that I wish I was less stupid, haha.

Ahh, sorry about that! Thanks for fixing it for me.

Yeah, some of the later chips that become available are almost game-breaking (in a fun way).
I'm fascinated that the game recorded all my messing about in the settings menu. Also when I was playing 2B I found her initial responses sounded professional. Whereas now they seem cold. Is that some bias where we judge ourselves to different standards do you think?
It’s just the beginning.
So my brother in law gifted this to me with the stern warning not to even attempt it until I upgrade my video card beyond my current setup (GTX 960)
As I don't really have any intention of upgrading the video card in the near future, is this something I should attempt, or toss it on the pile of "someday"
The minimum specs call for a GTX 770 so I'd be really surprised if a 960 couldn't handle it.
Huh, I played it on my GTX960 with no issues (once I installed the FAR mod).

Personally, I think she's sounded rather cold from the very beginning, especially when compared to 9S or the operator, whose name escapes me right now. But maybe that's just me?
Well, I finished Route A yesterday, and while I really enjoyed the game, I can' say that I loved it. I know I'm supposed to continue playing and do Routes B and C, but I think I'm going to take a break and come back to it later. It was fun, though, and I loved the visuals, but I don't know --I thought I was going to love it, but instead I just really liked it.
(and Routes D and E)
I also wasn't very high on the story at the end of Route A. I can't fault you for wanting to take a break, but don't wait too long -- you're going to want to remember how Route A went as you play through B.
Yeah, think of route A as chapter 1 of a novel. It’s just the opening of the story.
Thanks for the advice. I will then take just a short break, and then I'll go back.
