The Official Trading Post

For sale: Ogre Designer's Edition, full Kickstarter version, unopened/new in box.... $300 + actual shipping cost.

I did the OGRE Kickstarter several years ago, and I've come to realize that I'm not going to be able to play it. I took the box out of the outer shipping carton, but never opened the actual game. The shipping process tore the very thin shrinkwrap on one surface a little, but it's obvious that the box has never been opened, and holy cow does this come with a lot of stuff, all brand new and untouched by human hands... after it was manufactured, anyway.

A little background: Ogre is a classic tactical 2-person strategy game, where one person gets a whole field full of units, run by a Command Post. The other one gets the Ogre. It's an even match. From what I know, the original edition, back in the 80s, was tiny, but this labor-of-love version from Steve Jackson Games is absolutely GIGANTIC, one of the largest game boxes I've ever seen. It comes with oodles of maps and zillions of counters.

This was a one-and-done production run. About 10,000 total were made, and they're not doing any more. You cannot buy this from SJ Games, only from other people, and actual new-in-box ones are getting uncommon. Right now, an opened/played version is going for $200 on EBay; this one is brand new, and has extra swag as well.

When the Kickstarter was done, they sold the remainder on this page:

http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/products...

But that's the mere Designer Edition; we Kickstarter backers got an even better deal. You can see the original page here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...

It's hard to piece together what's exactly in the box, because it came out in dribs and drabs. The tl;dr:

At least these basics, probably a fair bit more:

5 huge mapboards
500 oversize counters
72 3D-constructible Ogres and Command posts.

As of Update 16, they provided this detailed list of stuff (I got the $150 edition):

Standard Edition Includes:
- The outer shipping carton - about 22" x 18" x 4"?
- The game box. Currently 21.5" by 17.625" by at least 3.5".
- Cardboard counter tray insert / "Ogre garage"

Maps:
- Ogre map (2 pieces )
- GEV type maps G1, G2, S1, S2 (2 pieces each)

- Plastic storage trays to hold the maps in the box

Counter/overlay sheets
All about 11 x 17, printed 4/4, diecut - right now I count 16 of them.
- Combine 2D units (2 identical sheets, about 65 units each, 1.5 mm)
- Paneuropean 2D units (2 identical sheets, about 70 units each, 1.5 mm)
- Basic map overlay sheet (3 identical sheets, 1.5 mm)
- Stretch overlay sheet (1.5 mm)
- Assorted Ogres and buildings (3 different sheets, 2 mm)
- Sponsored sheets for $3,000 supporters (5 different, some 1.5, some 2 mm; all use existing dies)
--- (1, 2) "Mercenary" sheets - two, using Combine units
--- (3) Maaaybe one w/ hidden buildings. Under discussion.
--- (4) One with a whole troop of Ogres in a new color.

--- (5) One, probably, with a new color of Paneuro units.

Booklets and other paper:
- Rulebook - 24 pages?
- Scenario book - 12 pp?
- Reference sheets with CRTs, unit lists, and so on (2 copies)
- Ogre Record Sheet masters (2 copies, black only)
- Blueprint poster
- "How to Build the Ogres" flyer

Two 19mm acrylic dice, one blue with Combine logo in white, one red with Paneuropean logo in white.

Kickstarter Copies Also Include:
- Kickstarter sticker on the box front

- Kickstarter Exclusive Counter Sheet ("Targets Go Boom")
- Kickstarter Exclusive Counter/Overlay Sheet #2, still unnamed and under development
- Signed Certificate of Support

Also Included At KS $100 US Level
- Website and box-side listing as supporter
- Three PDFs and 30 Minutes of Music (actually, these kick in at $25)

Swag Added At $150 US Level
- A second copy of the "Targets Go Boom" sheet
- Humongous Canvas bag
- Pair of lapel pins
- Exclusive T-shirt

He goes on to list the actual exact contents of the counter sheets; I can scare that up if you care, but that just seems like clutter.

I also seem to have gotten more dice, a couple of coins, and a Pocket Ogre game, a teeny-tiny version you can take with you. Looks like it would fit nicely into a backpack pocket. It fits in my front jeans pocket, but I wouldn't want to leave it there. There's also some music and additional rules, which were stretch goals, that I can apparently download for you if you're interested.

So, here it is almost six years later, and you can have one that's totally new, unpunched, and unplayed. Again, there's a little tear on the (very thin!) shrinkwrap, the only flaw with the game I know about. If you like classic strategy boardgames, this one is excellent, and this is the best version ever done.

Selling my ASUS ZenPad $190 (a bit cheaper than the listing because Swappa won't take a cut if you buy it here)

https://swappa.com/listing/DGF388/view

Wonderful device but there are a few iPad only apps I want. Which means if you have an iPad Air you want to trade I would. (iPad Air because they are roughly the same priced used and that is what I was going to buy when I sold the ZenPad)

PM me if your interested.

I was cleaning out my parent's house and came across a bonanza of pre-Intel Mac games. Would anyone be interested in Virtual Springfield (also for Win95) and/or Sacrifice for $5 + shipping? I have a pile of other ones, but they're on GOG.

Do you have a full list? I like collecting physical media.

Delbin, I definitely want to get a few of those from you. I'll be in touch soon-ish, just super busy atm.

Assuming no one claims them first.

Hey all,

I'm selling my custom built computer with the specs and parts listed below. I’m not sure what a fair price would be, so I’d be up to hear offers. Shoot me a PM.

This PC is in pristine condition and comes from a smoke-free and nearly dust-free home. I have had no problems with this computer, and for purposes of selling, I performed a clean install of Windows 7 Professional Plus (64-bit) and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013. Below are each of the components. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will include nearly all of the manuals and extra accessories that came with the build items (screws, mounts, extra cables (SATA, modular power cables, SLI bridge, etc.)). I will also provide the keys for Microsoft Windows and Office.

This computer has no problem running PUBG, Doom, Fortnite, Dishonored 2, or nearly any other Triple A title game. I get excellent benchmarks with the GTX 780.

I am also selling two monitors: One ASUS VN279QL Black 27" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen monitor (which I calibrated specifically for this PC) and one Samsung BX2450 24" LED BackLight LCD monitor Slim Design (which is also calibrated for this PC). I am looking for $120 for the ASUS and $90 for the Samsung.

If you would like, I can perform a benchmark run of 3D Mark and print the results for you.

Case: Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower with Upgraded USB 3.0
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Hero LGA 1150 Intel Z87
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150
RAM: 32GB G.SKILL TridentX Series (4 x 8GB) DDR3 SDRAM 2400
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 780 3GB GDDR5 SLI - Classified Edition
HDD: WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive
Optical Drive: ASUS Black Blu-ray Drive SATA
Power Supply: Corsair Professional Series HX 850 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold
Fan Controller: NZXT Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller (LED RBG)

Pro tip, you can set feedback floors as a seller on eBay. Once I set that up, I never had an eBay troll again.

For those who aren't aware, CH Products makes utilitarian, 80's stylized sticks that don't have a bazillion buttons, but feel amazing and last forever. Their quality is what I wish we had everywhere instead of cheap stuff that is meant to be as cheap to produce as possible.

Seconding Garion because CH makes such good stuff.

Can I use it as a handbrake?

Pricecharting is a good place to get a baseline.

After looking through there for some of the games in my own collection, I'm tempted to sell off a bunch of PS1, PS2, and SegaCD games....

Thanks Garion and Veloxi.
And EverythingsTentative, anything's possible. So I'll say, possibly.

Anyone have an old Att phone they want to sale for cheap? It's for my 15yo daughter who has destroyed 4 phones in about 18 months. The more garbage the better.

While we are talking phones if anyone is looking at saying goodbye to an Apple watch let me know. Wife is interested in one.

I have for sale a Kindle Oasis. It is the Wifi + 3G model of the previous gen and comes with the battery charging cover, cord, and original box.

It is this model. Ads have been deactivated also.

Only selling because my wife got the newest model, she wanted the bigger screen but I prefer this version as it is smaller and easier to carry around, so I am keeping mine for now.

$150 shipped in the U.S.

That's a tempting sale, there LeapingGnome. Unfortunately the timing is all wrong for me, but I've been eying the Oasis for some time. The form and charging case seem so nice.

Sold

Let me know if you are interested.
