What are you playing this weekend?

Steadily working through Shadowrun: Dragonfall

There's no escape for me while my wife and brother-in-law are still obsessed with Minecraft

I've also been playing my irregular game of Try to Find the Perfect Space Sim For Me, but until I can clear some more backlog the object is Just Play More House of the Dying Sun

I love that game so much.

I played ALTTP for the first time a couple of years ago. It aged very well.

Getting back into Europa Universalis IV thanks in part to finally getting on board with the Hardcore History podcast. CK2 is typically my bread & butter for Paradox grand-strat, but man does flipping between the two really highlight the QoL enhancements present in the newer EU4.

Picked up Choplifter HD on a whim and am left wondering why I waited so long. I was always a fan of the original release back in '82, easily falling somewhere into my retro arcade cabinet Top 10. HD somehow manages to capture the feel of the original while also having a fresh coat of modern & shiny. Awesome arcade action.

Continuing to plumb the depths in Subnautica. I've owned the game for quite a while but held off for the recent 1.0 before diving in [sic]. I continue to be amazed at how well the exploration & crafting loop is integrated into the game. Feels intelligent and entirely organic, the perfect carrot/stick combo that keeps me eagerly pushing a little further every time.

How is that one? I've been circling it for years without ever deciding to either buy it or stop looking at it.

I’m going to go back to it. I sorta remember the red princess has a cool kick and you can launch foes into traps.

I'm right here with you. Kagero: Deception II was one of my favorite games of the PS1 era. I'm not really a fan of the franchise, as I don't think I ever played another one, but I am so tempted to acquire this (or at least the base game).

I think what held me back is it was such a late PS3 release and I had already moved on to the PS4. Now that it's moved to PS4... I need this.

I'm playing Invisible, Inc (I'm terrible at it, but I like it), Puyo Puyo Tetris (I'm not too bad), and Gravity Rush 2, which I've almost finished but I'm stuck near the end and it's making me mad...

Power through! The ending is crazy. They knew there wasn't going to be another game, I think, so they went crazy with the ending.

Haha. Thanks! I've really enjoyed the game despite some sections where the lack of precision was quite annoying. Right now...

Spoiler:

I'm on Episode 20 fighting Yunica and Permet, and even though I know I need to focus on only one of them, they keep knocking Durga out before I'm anywhere near close to beating either one of them. And I could do without Kali Angel giving me grief every time I'm near the ground.

Anyway, I guess I'll just have to persevere...

This weekend I will be doing homework and painting Mansions of Madness miniatures (!)

Maybe play a few more rounds of Slay the Spire, too.

Spoiler:

I just got past that part. I thought that fighting Yunica and Permet was harder than the following battle.

I will be playing through Gravity Rush 2 this weekend as well.

We'll probably be watching a fair amount of Olympics this weekend so I'm mostly taking a break from Persona 5 this weekend to beat up some high school delinquints as I continue working towards getting the True Ending in this game.

Monster hunter world.
Pokken Tournament DX.

Messing with the nVidia Go beta.

Studying so I can find a new job

I’ll probably play some more of my first Civ VI Rise and Fall game. I spent the day today cleaning and watching Sing with my son, so no game time today. Something else may be mixed in but I’m not sure. I haven’t played Horizon Zero Dawn in a while.

I continue to play Mass Effect: Andromeda. The combat and gameplay is excellent. Not as bad as the gaming world made it up to be last year. Sure, the animations and scripting is sometimes horrid, and a couple of conversations sound like robots, but it's not jarring at all.

Honestly, I like this more than ME1 so far. ME2 > ME3 > ME:A > ME1.

I'll see how it shakes up once I finish it. It's a "Straight to DVD" version of the series, but I don't necessarily say that negatively.

That's good to know! I'm going to try again now...

I'm hoping to wrap up Dragonfall this weekend. I think I'm on the last mission, so almost home with this one.

I'm hopeful I can start digging in to a game of Rise and Fall as well.

I might start another RPG as well, not sure if I'll go with Shadowrun: Hong Kong or in a different direction.

I'm playing Golf Story.

I'm not sure I'm loving it as much as everyone else here, but it's pretty decent. Minor annoyances such as not being able to see the entire course, and grating music are turning me off. On the other hand, it seems incredibly charming, albeit a bit one-dimensional.

Keen to play more, I have a feeling I'll end up liking it more than I currently do.

It's a good game that wore thin on me about 3-4 courses in. There's only so many interesting mechanics you can make in a RPG where you hit a ball with a club. Still, a fun little indie game.

Some cleaning up for collectibles in Fallout 4: Far Harbor, some more Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and then mayhaps some Breath of the Wild and/or Valiant Hearts - The Great War.

For anyone that has beaten TLoZ: A Link Between Worlds: is this game short? I'm blowing through about a dungeon per hour. I feel like at this rate, I'll be done in five more hours, and I've maybe put a dozen into it already. I'm not trying to 100% it, but I'm definitely exploring whenever I go to a new area.

Maybe they were trying to emulate the SNES original a little too much (as in that game wasn't terribly long).

Hopefully craft beer and board games down the local laundrette Sunday followed by a late showing of Black Panther at the flicks.

It's a bit of a all about me weekend, well fingers crossed.

Maybe chipping away at Monster Hunter Worlds with some Ever Oasis on the side.

Hopefully making more progress in Shadowrun Dragonfall, and possibly starting a new game of Civilization VI: Rise and Fall.

I might take a break from my Heroes of the Storm addiction and check out Subnautica.

Finally finished Super Mario Odyssey, so I'm going back to Breath of the Wild. Adore both games, but my kids REALLY wanted to finish Odyssey, so everything else took a back seat this past week.

Hoping to spend some quality time with Subnautica, after having had it since early access. Going to try both non-VR and Oculus-powered VR to see how things go.

Aside from those two, probably going to play some Stellaris and, possibly, Tabletop Simulator to try out a kickstarter I backed, NEMESIS.

Shadowrun Shadowrun. Can do what ever a Shadowrun can do. Can they swing from a web? No they can’t because they are Shadowrunners.

Going to attempt to finish Titanfall 2, if time allows play some Fallen Legion and Sky Force Anniversary And if I really have alot of free time, I'll try to mess some more with my new Retro Pi set up and maybe some PC / Vita gaming.

I'd say I'm going to play one of the pile games I picked for this month but..who am I kidding? Stardew Valley will probably take up all of my time this 3 day weekend. That game has it's hooks in me..

I picked FF XV cheap since I never finished it. So me and the bros will be exploring the world.
