Are people lining up to play Johnny Storm in an awful Fantastic Four movie? Seems like that's become a viable career path to getting to play an awesome character later.

Didn't do much for this guy.

I'm a little Shalalm Baskur right now, but hopefully that was all at least respectful.

Yeah, mostly. I think a lot of people are looking forward to the movie on its own merits, setting aside the cultural implications. 2016's Luke Cage Netflix series was badass because the character is so great, and the directors knew exactly how to approach him. When Wonder Woman arrived, My boys and I were looking forward to it because it was a cool movie, not so much because of the female lead & director -those were cherries on top to be sure, but the movie stood out from the pack on its own greatness.

Coffee hasn't quite kicked in, I'm not sure if this is making my intended point.

While Blade is a Marvel comics character who has appeared alongside lots of superheroes, he's never felt like a "superhero" and Blade didn't feel like the kind of bombastic superhero movie we've been seeing. It's a vampire movie with some great action, but it's never felt "superhero" to me. Too low-key, too many vampire tropes as opposed to superhero tropes.

I'm sad because my three week old baby means I almost certainly won't be seeing this in the theater. It'll be the first Marvel movie I miss since... ok, since Spiderman: Homecoming, but before THAT it's been a long time.

If they bring Blade back to the screen, I think he makes more sense in a series instead of a movie.

He was in a series on spike. Sticky Fingers played blade and the show was pretty good. I actually own it.

Black Panther - Review! (non-spoiler)

2mins, I heard enough. I already wanted to see it, but Ryan Coogler's direction has me intrigued. Can't wait!

Yeah I stopped after 5 minutes or so. I didn't want any risk of spoilers and what they said was enough for me to know I will be seeing it.

Well I don't mind spoiling it: they liked the movie!

Interesting that Ed Norton didn't show up for that...

Edit: n/m i forgot that William Hurt was in Civil War.

I like that Paul Rudd is grinning like a kid on picture day.

Who's behind Anthony Mackie?

"I'm just so glad to be here!"

Rudd looks like he's photo bombing the shot. You're supposed to be in it, Paul.

Jeff Goldblum and Taika Waititi giving good face are my favorites, I think

I am assuming that picture is a mosaic of different pictures taken at different times. Too many weird shadows. *EDIT* Evidently not, they were all together.

Also, it looks like Brie Larson is ready to beat some ass.

No Tom Hiddleston?

He's sitting right between Gwyneth Paltrow and Stan Lee.

Spoiler:

In character!

I've been waiting to watch Goonies with my son. This might be the weekend.

Black Panther is so good!
World building, villains, supporting cast all amazing.
I think some slight visual issues with big battles, but nothing awful.
