PLAYERUNKNOWNS BATTLEGROUNDS

Has anyone experience the Xbox inventory bug where instead of being able to cycle down the column of inventory on the ground it jumps around to your character slots instead? I get this once every few games and it is really annoying. The only quick workaround I have found is to just pickup what I want without going into the inventory screen but that isn't always precise.

I've had weird things in inventory including what you describe. It feels like it is cycling but you can't see what is highlighted. I might be wrong but this seems to happen when there is a lot of stuff. Going out and back in to inventory works sometimes.

Usually works but sometimes items that are on the ground cannot be attached directly on the guns- pick it up and doing it from stuff on you works okay.

I can't swap grenade types on the d-pad any more- it says inventory is full or some such. You can go into the inventory and swap them there. Used to work on D-pad.

There was in update last night but I've not played since then.

I actually got another chicken dinner in a duo. Team-mate brought it home in the last five or so but I still got five kills (he got 10). The most I've ever had is six.

I now highly value smgs. I'll always try and keep an UMP or Vector for the small circles and houses now. Once they are topped out with attachments they feel great. This might be more to do with my terrible aim with ARs at longer distances.

Yeah, I have had the gun attachment bug that you are talking about too. The grenade D-pad one was supposedly addressed in the lat patch. I forgot to test it out.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Uzi but loved a decked out UMP or a Vector with extended quickdraw mag. One of those with a Holo sight combined with a ACOG scoped AR and I'm a happy PUBGer.

Had my best game ever the other night. I got eight and my partner got six.

Congrats! Sounds like total domination.

Nice, Norfair.

I managed to change grenades on xbox with the dpad last night. Hurrah.

Reminds me of a game I played yesterday with someone who drew a silhouette around an enemy with an M416.

The new replay camera is worthwhile just for that long shot following the flying car in DearSomeone's video.

I loved those highlights. I am going to need to watch that again.

Oh man, I laughed so hard at the vehicle mayhem I was crying. I need to check my replays from a couple of nights ago. I got hit by a buggy and my body flew for about a kilometer.

Looks like the new anti cheat changes will block ReShade.

The only problem I have with this is PUBG dev's saying over and over that they are ok with reshade then doing something that will block it. They've done this with a few things.

I use reshade but have no issue not having it as long as no one has it.

My guess is they have to block it in order to prevent what other hacks.

This is my suspicion too. But one article I read actually came out and said that PUBG said it was making players stand out more with it, which is an unfair advantage. But before this as Escher77 said, they have always said it was fine. I have always been against allowing it so I am glad they are doing this.

Well, they never said that it was a cheat. They only said it won't work once they make changes to the game that forbid run-time modification of game assets.

I feel a bit of a fraud with one kill one win.

AAArgg, I got screwed by the circle. I played a three man last night and the circle ended up on the military base runway. My team-mates were dead and left me with two others. I cleared out the barrels and they were in plane wreckage. Final circle appears and I have nowhere to go but onto the runway. Pissed I got so far to be given no chance at the very end.

When I loaded in last night I got a whole bunch of BP. Was that just a gift? I have a feeling when I spend it all I will have a huge pile of school shoes to add to my huge pile of school shoes.

No such thing - a win is a win.

They've been having problems with BP awards - there was previous dump in either December or January where I got about 850.

This dump was, like, 40k, I think. Quick google and it seems Xboxers got 30k for rocky launch. In your face PC 'smooth like butter' players.

PC players had to go through the same crap last spring. Where are their 5 pairs of "combat" blue pants and 3 white tanks that the 30000 will net you!

The Microsoft announcement says the 30k BP is for PUBG reaching 4 million players on Xbox One...?

Are you asking or telling?

I’m sad the locked crates have plummeted in price, I was making a healthy profit on them, got myself £10 for the next steam sale anyway.

So the percentages of quality loot is really f*cked up in PUBG. The Gamescom crates actually had decent rates. The rare stuff was rare, but it was like 1 in 100 rare. For a long time, the Survivor/Wanderer crates had 1 in a million (not even joking) rates for the rare stuff.

Basically opening a Survivor/Wanderer crate was always losing you money.

Eventually the market corrects for this as enough people realize what the crates are actually worth based on their drop rates. My guess is the Desperado crates have worse drop rates than anticipated. Also, as people open crates and get what they want (or just buy it off the makretplace), the demand for crates declines.

Going forward, it's probably best to always sell the "shiny new" crates that come out close to when they launch. The price will inevitably be inflated. I sat on 10 Gamescom crates when they were $8 and now they're around 5.50, so I missed out on money by waiting.

Probably a stupid question, but I've noticed that in death cam replays the person who got me is very often aiming nowhere close to my body - often behind me, meaning they aren't just leading fire. Is it safe to assume that this is some video/data lag issue with the replay and not rampant cheating? Interesting enough (or not), it usually seems to be a scar-l.

I believe the death cam is based on what your computer recorded from the packets. So damage is based on what the server sees but where the other player is aiming is based not on where he was aiming on his computer but where your computer thinks he was aiming. So for a moving target it will always be a fraction of a second off which could look like he is trailing instead of leading.

You will notice the same effect when you spectate someone during a squad game. It will often look like they are missing by quite a bit, yet they will get the kill.

I've seen this on Xbox. Spectating is very frustrating both sides. Somebody spectating me was slagging-off my aim when I thought I was doing pretty well.

Thanks, that makes sense.

Got my second Chicken Dinner on the Xbox the other night. Still enjoying solo but playing with a squad is way more fun.
