Warframe

My son has created this 25 sec video as his submission to Tenno's Greatest Trailer Contest. Objectively, I think it's great -- better than many others I saw -- but he is taking his entry super serious and is sweating bullets now in the final hours of the submission window.

Could I ask fellow Goodjers to send some positive vibes his way and check out his trailer? This doesn't increase his chances of winning -- all submissions are judged by a closed panel -- but will definitely support him

I’m impressed. You can usually spot fan-made trailers but I would have assumed that was professionally done if you hadn’t said otherwise.

I agree. Very well done.

DE handed out a melee riven tonight, just log in during the next 20 hours or so and finish a level 5- 7 mission.

Then sit there and glare at the riven. To unveil/use it, I have to complete an interception mission, level 30+, solo, while carrying a Hobbled Dragon key and not get killed or downed.

Sigh. Hope you get a better one.

I'm pretty new to this game, and also got a Melee Riven thingie today. I had to get a melee multiplier x3 for 30 seconds and have a drone thingie at the same time - I have no idea what that means.

I've also got a lot melee mods saying channeling, which is also something I don't know what is. On the PS4, that is.

Great game, though!

So the combo multiplier is if you keep meleeing things over and over with in a certain time (i think 3.5s) or less between each hit you get a combo multiplier. However, doing X3 requires like 150 hits then hold it so not really easily do-able. The way to do it though it go to earthy 3rd node is a "Capture". You go in with a melee weapon. You knock down the capture target but do not capture him. Clear the room (or not if you are on a tanky frame it's lvl 4 enemies) You can then hit the downed target over and over and it counts towards multiplier. So just hit him until in bottom right it says 3x and then keep hitting for 30 seconds you should get pop up.

Wiki is best for this. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Melee...

Here is first piece on channeling
Channeling converts energies from the Warframe energy pool to enhance melee attacks and blocking, and is activated by using the Melee Channeling key with the option of either holding it down or toggling. While Melee Channel is activated, each enemy hit in melee will drain 5 Energy from the Warframe and deal +50% increased damage and any additional effects from channeling mods.

This one wasn't too bad. I dropped a specter and had him hold his position. Even if he died it held the point long enough to cap and clear the other areas. Then it was just a matter of jumping to each spawn point.

I am having the hardest time getting past master rank 13 test. Ugh!?!

Which one is that? Is that the one with the stacked platforms in middle and a few other spread out kill 15 guys? If so make sure you jump on the highest of the stacked first (go to another one kill 1-2 then jump to middle spire) If you jump on top one you get all 3 of them but if you start on bottom all 3 disappear at once. Other than that not much warning so just don't over stay. I think there is like 9 in total so 2 guys per platform is plenty. I used Soma but any AR/sniper with decent clip or reload should work.

Thanks for the tips. I have to work on my bullet jumps then.

Honestly, I never do anything but bullet jump. I never walk/sprint mainly bullet jump around and aim glide.

Now all you have to do is roll while you're aim gliding, then things will begin to go to plaid.

Also don't forget bullet jumping while aiming straight up or down makes you do a super high jump. It helps with a lot of those tests.

General advice for tests:
-See how to do it on youtube
-Practice in the Simulactrum at a relay a few times if need
-Do it for real when you're confident
-you can do it!

Thanks for the advice. My next shot is tomorrow.

I just looked at a youtube video for that test.... wow, that looks like it would be a pain if you don't plan for it ahead of time. What frames do you have access to at the moment what weapons do you have that are powerful?

The ways I can think of cheesing the fight are (may require energy pads or a very specialized build):
-A frame with a large AoE toggle ability that you can move around with, Ember and Equinox come to mind
-Fly with Titania
-All the enemies are incredibly weak, so going full energy efficient (and power strength) and using a frame with a homing target ability should work (Ash's shurikens, Nyx psychic bolts, Mags Pull)
-Ivara's zipline could work

If you're going to kill the enemies with guns, you would want a weapon that hits fast and reloads fast, and is accurate, so a braton, or a high damage soma or a quanta with range could be idea, but almost any weapon that does not have travel time and is accurate would work. The other thing would be the disappearing platforms; so either start at the highest platform and work your way down, or start at the lowest, outer platform and slowly glide your way to the top center platform, and get a feel when the platforms are going to disappear.

Escher's suggestion is the best way to handle it. If you jump to the top platform it's actually a easy test. If you miss the top and land on the second platform you have to pay attention and be ready to move and don't miss your shots. Frame or abilities does nothing for you, unless one can help you get to that top platform easier.

Yeah the biggest issue is jumping to the 3rd level middle stack. Just need to practice.

Yeah, it's not super hard. Jump to the top, pop a couple of enemies from each level as you drop then do 2 or 3 on the lower platforms.

I used soma prime or this and most other tests so I don't need to reload.

I may be the odd duck out, but I completed that one using the tower last with Zephyr and the Amprex (with a range mod and high multi-shot mod). The Amprex is useful because the damage arcs to other nearby enemies for more rapid kills. The Amprex still doesn't have the best range ultimately, so sticking to the lower platforms worked better for this weapon. Zephyr helps by adding time between platforms (floaty fall) for enemies to populate.

Don't get me wrong though, it took several trial runs in the Cephalon Simaris before I found what worked best for me.

Note: This trial was completed on a PS4 and may not be a good build for PC players.

I think that is the beauty of Warframe, there is no one way to do something, and so many different ways of getting things accomplished. If you could get the beat on one enemy, and they're close enough to another, no reason why you couldn't use a range mod on Amprex or Atmos and kill multiple people at once, so you have less targets to worry about. You could also use the Torid and have the lasting gas clouds kill the enemies as they spawn, or go full spammy with a crossbow or throwing stars with an explosive mod and scorch the earth; you could even try doing a full range Nekros and use fear and see if the enemies run off the platforms to their death. There is no right/wrong way to do things, but what works for you and what you enjoy the most.

Finally did it. Thanks for the tips everyone. I chose Nova frame with Soma Prime. Jumped to the 2nd platform since I could'nt make the 3rd yet. Then just hopped around the others and completed it.

Acolytes are live. Although somewhat annoying to farm.

Hi, I'm new on PS4 on this game.

Someone still play?

I'm still on frequently (as recent as last night) as mariosmaker. I'm not sure if there is a formal GWJ guild on PSN these days, but if there isn't you are welcome to join mine. And when you say you are new to Warframe on PS4, does that mean you've played on other platforms?

Yeah, I have played the intro on PC.

But got a IRL friend that plays on PS4 that convince to try it again.

I do like it, but I prefer my gaming in Coop.

If no ones plays with me, I just close the game and do something else.

I feel the same way about the Co-op part, if I'm not on Warframe with other people to chat/strategize with, I rapidly lose interest, sometimes for days at a time. Rest assured though, with as much as I've invested into Warframe, I always come back .

My only concern was how far you made it on the other platform (PC). I've put over 160hrs into it on PS4, then when I tried starting again on PC, I found it to be too overwhelmingly different. Especially in terms of what I could, and couldn't, use for weapons locked behind the Mastery Rank system many hours away, namely in favored guns/melee that I'd already earned and mastered on PS4. That, and the lack of mods I had available to me starting out for customization (no stance mods, no aura mods, no Endo). In other words, I couldn't get into it then like I am now on PS4. But if all you've played is the intro, you probably won't be affected by this same sort of disparity like I was.

I keep coming back to Warframe (on PC). I mostly play solo or with a couple friends so progress is relatively slow, and I'm currently sorta stuck on the Pluto -> Sedna junction. The Orokin test rooms on Lua are giving me trouble. I'd ask for advice but I suspect I just have to keep trying. I really want to get to the War Within quest though, so I'm motivated!

A few of those rooms are not reasonably possible with 1 person. Not even easy with 2. So a lot of that is just getting the random luck of the ones that are easibly solo able. Also just being able to identify the rooms.

I am very familiar with all the solo rooms and happy to help some time. Although probably best to give me another week with monster hunter still so fresh. I will certainly pick up my play time next month with the unvaulting happening next week. Need to get Ember/Loki Prime.
