I've included links to Steam or GOG if the game is unavailable on Steam. I added the current price on those sites as well. If there are sales going on for any of these on other sites that you know of let me know and I'll update the price information. I've also added the time listed on How Long to Beat for the main story for each game.

Dropping in to say that I’ll probably play along if there’s something I already own that gets picked. I might finally get around to playing Arcanum!

Does the Steam version of Bloodlines come with all the necessary unofficial patching?

A number of the games on the list are on sale on GOG right now, but the sale is over in a few days, so before voting, etc.

No, you'll need to grab the fan patch from somewhere, but it's setup to be really easy to install with a couple of clicks.

Thanks. I've added them anyway.

If everyone who wants to nominate has already nominated, should we just go ahead with voting slightly early? I'm actually quite eager to get started with this!

I'd be up for this, what do others think?

I would like to not go so fast that we miss people, and I think there is value in allowing time for this thread to catch people's attention, but we could certainly bump up the pace. It does seem like nominating has run its course and we have enough things to vote on.

I’m fine with voting now, but we can always ask for a shout out on the GWJCC to get more folks. That’ll add extra days before we start though.

Do we really want all the CC looky-loos chiming in with their inane suggestions and disparaging remarks about older games? I mean that's what Clocky's for.

(I hope my playful tone is evident)

I'm fine with voting early, I'm not planning nominating anything this round.

I'd like to vote for Wasteland 2, whenever we start with voting.

I'll nominate Icewind Dale 1 (EE), since I still need to play it. If it is not too late.
What a great list of games in any case.

I can't resist another game club...will definitely join in if it's something in my pile (which half the current list is).

Sounds like everyone is up for moving forward with voting, so ...

Let's close nominations and start voting at noontime GMT on Wednesday, January 17.

That'll give Icewind Dale 1 some time to get seconded but still get us moving forward more quickly.

I'm thinking we can probably shorten our voting time a bit as well. I'll post more on that when I have a bit more time. Heading to dinner at the moment...

Welcome! Your lifetime membership has been activated.

I’ll second Icewind Dale 1

Baldur’s Gate EE

I'll join this club too, like others I'll play things on my current pile as they come up.

Great idea Godzilla!

Well, with Icewind Dale 1 now in the pack, let's open voting now and run through noontime GMT on Sunday, January 21.

Voting Guidelines
• Each member is allowed three votes.
• Members can only spend one vote per game.
• Members do not have to use all three votes.
• Members can vote without having nominated anything!
• Vote for stuff you want to play.
• Highest vote getter wins.

Candidates
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura ($5.99) (32.5 hours)
Baldurs Gate EE ($19.99) (30 hours)
Blackguards ($19.99) (45 hours)
Icewind Dale 1 ($19.99) (32 hours)
Icewind Dale 2 ($9.99) (43 hours)
Might & Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven ($9.99) (53.5 hours)
Pillars of Eternity ($29.99) (36 hours)
Planescape: Torment ($19.99) (33.5 hours)
The Quest ($9.99) (no estimate available)
Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director's Cut ($14.99) (21 hours)
Tyranny ($44.99) (23 hours)
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines ($19.99) (24 hours)
Wasteland 2 ($39.99) (37.5 hours)

(Current cost and average playtime follow each game's title.)

Just so I don't mistake random bursts of excitement for votes, and keeping in mind that people may not have been aware that they can vote for up to 3 games, I won't count any votes before this post. Only votes after this post and before the voting deadline will count.

Vote away! May the game we all want to play win! Woot!

Your decoder ring is in the mail! Welcome! And thanks!

I just discovered this. I'll sign up.

Since I'm LTTP, I'll let the people who did the nominating do the voting. I'll just follow along.

Welcome, tanstaafl!

And no need to hold back on the whole voting thing. We've only been in existence for about a week, so you're hardly LTTP. If you see some things you'd play, toss in some votes!

I'd like to vote for Wasteland 2, Blackguards, and Shadowrun: Dragonfall.

My votes:

Baldur's Gate
Pillars of Eternity
Wasteland 2

Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Icewind Dale 1
Planescape: Torment

Vampire
Icewind Dale 2
Blackguards

M&M
Icewind Dale 2
Arcanum

Planescape: Torment
Blackguards
Shadowrun: Dragonfall

My votes:
Pillars of Eternity
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Vampire
