NFL 2017 Playoffs Wild Card Thread

All these fans in the stadium in Jacksonville are confusing. Who are these people??!

Announcers talk about Bortles like elementary school teachers trying to put a positive spin on a slow kid to his parents.

Please tell me I wasn't the only one who saw that sign in the crowd and thought of him?

Too accurate.

6 drives, 6 punts

Watching the Jags have the NFL's best defense, and then watching the offense with Bortles repeatedly missing screen passes, is my special hell.

This game is wretched. Can we just say neither team wins and move on to the next game today?

This is a playoff game, right?

Hey Microsoft, for next week's piece, you should probably not include any Jeff Tripplette clips.

Live look at the Jags-Bills game:

Someone scored!

PLAY CHAD HENNE

Westbrook is a pretty good cornerback. Maybe the secret path to victory for the Jags is to make the offence a part of their defence.

If Blake Bortles threw passes to Buffalo's receivers, there would never be a complete pass again.

If McDermott could coach, the Jags would be in trouble.

I really hope the Jags continue for a while just to see Certis live posting NFL games.

Blake looked pretty bummed his secret, totally unexpected plan to run instead of throwing the ball was anticipated.

I'm on a Twitter break until the 10th, so this is my only outlet. I haven't watched football all year, so this is fun! Kind of.

Viewed as a rising star under Thompson, Gutekunst has spent the past 19 years in the Packers front office.

Works for me.

Interested to see how the other positions shake out.

This news is apparently more exciting than the first half which I had to miss. Also didn't mind missing.

So, in three halves of football, we've basically seen one team total show up; KC in the first half last night, and Tennessee in the second.

I really feel like Jeff Triplette was the perfect ref for games this weekend from a symbolic perspective.

Bortles: "Oh, you throw it to the receiver?"

He threw? I actually feel like I'm watching Tennessee again, where the entire offense is "hand the ball to a young RB" or "QB drops back and can't/won't throw so scrambles".

I have not enjoyed the AFC portion of the playoffs so far.

According to the DSM-5:

Bortlesmania: A manic state where despite all rational, historical evidence, an elated feeling arises along with a false sense of confidence after marginally good performance.

They used to run the serious Bortlesmania sufferers to the institution on the Gus Bus, but that particular vehicle is no longer available.

^^ can we get a moderator to get this troll outta here?

This is a fun thread.

Like, more fun than watching this game.

The whiplash from going back and forth between watching Garoppolo and Bortles is brutal, let me tell you.

I haven't seen this much read option since 2012 Kaepernick.

Bortles barreling toward that poor camera man is the perfect metaphor for Legion's life.

I don't even know what that means but I know it's a slam. F**k you too buddy!

Ugh this friggin game.
